New York Yankees outfielder Juan Soto (hand) is reportedly scheduled to undergo an MRI exam or CT scan on Monday. The superstar outfielder has been sidelined since suffering a hand injury during Friday's game. Soto reportedly felt pain in his hand when he was swinging during batting practice on Saturday. The Yankees haven't posted their lineup for Sunday's game, but it would be shocking to see Soto in there. For now, fantasy managers should consider Soto as day-to-day until after the testing is finished.

Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton was the team's primary source of offense during Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners. The 30-year-old hit a tie-breaking RBI double off starter Bryce Miller in the fourth inning. Later, Buxton blasted a three-run home run against reliever Trent Thornton to help the Twins pull away. He finished the day 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the win. Buxton is hitting .389 with five home runs and two steals over his last 15 games. Fantasy managers should make sure to get him in their lineups right now.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Jake Irvin pitched his seventh quality start in his last eight starts and 11th of the season after an 8-1 defeat of the Rays on Saturday. Irvin threw six innings of one-run ball, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out five. The righty notched the win, finishing June with a 4-1 record and a 2.31 ERA. For the season, the 27-year-old is 6-6 with a 3.03 ERA (3.52 FIP), 1.06 WHIP, and a 16.2% K-BB%. The former fourth-round draft pick will look to keep rolling his next time out when he takes on the Mets next Thursday at home.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a double and his 22nd home run of the season in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers. The 29-year-old also walked once, collected two RBI, and scored twice in the contest. Santander is no stranger to the long ball, but he is experiencing a power surge this month, belting 13 of his 22 home runs in June alone. The switch-hitter is having one of his best seasons yet, posting a .233-22-55-46-0 line with a .348 wOBA and 129 wRC+. He's striking out much less than last season (23.2% vs. 18.2%) and currently has a career-high Contact% of 82.4% to go along with a 10.9% Barrel%, which makes his production sustainable (although don't expect 13 home runs per month).
From RotoBaller
Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Heston Kjerstad hit a grand slam and got on base in each of his five plate appearances in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Rangers. In addition to the slam, Kjerstad walked twice, was hit by a pitch, and was intentionally walked once. It was the 25-year-old's second consecutive game with a home run and he's collected seven RBI in the last two games alone. The former second-overall draft pick has been productive since his recall from Triple-A, going 5-for-12 (.417) since then. The left-handed hitter has had a strong power profile in the minors and fantasy managers looking for a second-half boost should add him, especially if he's going to be hitting in the heart of the Orioles' lineup like he did the last two games.

Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Rengifo went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and stole his 21st base of the season in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Tigers. It was Rengifo's fourth consecutive multi-hit game and fifth in his last six. The switch-hitter now owns a .317-6-24-36-21 line with a .355 wOBA and 129 wRC+ on the year, and with his positional versatility, he has become a very useful fantasy asset. The 27-year-old is eligible at 2B, 3B, SS, and OF in Yahoo leagues, allowing managers to plug lineup holes with productivity.

Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe homered for the second straight game, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Tigers. It was O'Hoppe's third homer in his last six games and 12th of the season. The 24-year-old now owns a .273-12-38-37-1 line on the season, putting him in the Top-5 at the position for fantasy scoring. The young backstop gave us a taste of his power potential last season when he hit 14 home runs in just 51 games on the back of a 15.6% Barrel%, and is well on his way to setting a new career high this season while maintaining an 11.2% Barrel%. After a slow May in which he batted .238, O'Hoppe has turned it on in June, hitting .319 this month.

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Luis Castillo will start Sunday against the Twins in the series finale. With no announced starter for Sunday's game after Bryan Woo was placed on the IL, it was speculated that the Mariners would go with their recent call-up, Jhonathan Diaz. Diaz had made a start earlier this month for the Mariners, but instead, it will be Castillo. The 31-year-old has had a rough go of it lately, with just one quality start in his last four outings, but he did face the Twins once already this season with solid results. The righty went six-and-two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (knee) is progressing from knee surgery, yet there remains no timetable for his return from the injured list. Trout said he is "feeling really good" and "relieved" as he is close to running and hitting in the cages. He is currently playing catch and jogging on the Alter-G Treadmill. Before being placed on the injured list on April 30, Trout slashed .220/.345/551 with 10 homers, 14 RBI, 17 runs scored, and six steals. He did say he would be "disappointed" if he isn't back by the end of July, something fantasy managers would feel in unison. Patience continues to be the watchword on Trout's actual return. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Trout in all leagues as the superstar outfielder aims for a July return.
