Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (back) said he will be ready for training camp in July after having minor surgery to remove a cyst on his back that will keep him out of organized team activities for the next three weeks. 'If this was the regular season and I had to play next week, I could,' Romo said. 'This is just about being smart. That's why I did it now. This will have no effect on training camp. No way will it have an impact. And I still think there's a good chance I'm on the field for minicamp.' The team does not fear that this will be a long-term injury, but they'll be cautious with him. Romo said the cyst was causing a constant ache in his back. QB Kyle Orton will work with the first-team offense with Romo out.

Get out there and be productive, and that's with any player. Whatever they get, they're deserving of it. You just got to get out there and play and I know he can be and will be the quarterback that is going to be the quarterback that is going to take us to the next level.'
