Jenkins had another ho-hum season for the Vikings, catching 40 passes for 449 yards. His numbers have been very similar through the years, averaging 43 receptions for 539 yards and three touchdowns per season the last eight years. And he has posted these numbers in a starting role for much of his career. He gets a chance to play in a prolific offense this season, though, moving to the Patriots. He will compete for a starting job with the Patriots and should be in the rotation of receivers even if he doesn't start. Jenkins is a big receiver that can stretch the field in a hurry. He struggles with drops at times, though, and his route running still isn't top notch despite being in the league several seasons.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

A move to New England gives Jenkins some added fantasy value. He could set career highs if he happens to win a starting role at receiver. But nothing is certain with his status this year. So take a late-round flier on Jenkins as a reserve receiver and hope for the best. He has some touchdown potential and big-game potential in this offense.

Minnesota Vikings WRs Michael Jenkins, Stephen Burton and Devin Aromashodu were targeted a total of five times in the team's Week 13 loss against the Green Bay Packers. WR Jerome Simpson finished with two catches (seven targets) for 25 yards, and WR Jarius Wright had only one catch for 13 yards. 'I don't want to make it sound bad, but never in my life have I been a part of something like this,' Wright said. 'I don't even know how to say it.' TE Kyle Rudolph led the aerial assault with six receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown, and QB Christian Ponder went 12-for-25 (48 percent completion rate) for 119 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Ponder's longest completion went for only 21 yards, and the Vikings' receivers were not able to gain much separation.
