SUMMARY
Running Back Rank: #3
Overall: #3

Turner probably exceeded all expectations his first year as a full-time starter. He was a stud for the Falcons, scoring 17 touchdowns while running for 1,699 yards. The Falcons have an emerging offense that could be even better with Matt Ryan developing, which is a good thing for Turner. He runs with a lot of power but has top speed to break a big play. He is a power back that is a home-run threat ? a rare combination. The only knock on Turner is he gets little work in the passing game. He caught just six passes last season.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
You can overlook his terrible numbers at receiver because of his great yardage and touchdown potential. He can come close to last season's numbers in this Falcons offense. Turner is a top 10 pick and won't last past the first round this season.
D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) did not participate in practice Friday, Nov. 20. He is listed as doubtful for Week 11 and is not expected to play.
Fantasy Impact: Look for Jason Snelling to get most of the work at running back for the Falcons this week.

D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) said he is not ruling himself out of the team's Week 11 game despite suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 10. 'I don't have a time frame on the injury. I'm not going to count myself out right now. It's only Wednesday. I'm going to take a couple of days. Later on in the week, I'll know for sure if I'll be able to play or not,' Turner said. Head coach Mike Smith has said Turner is considered day-to-day.

ESPN.com reports Atlanta Falcons RB Jason Snelling could start in Week 11 if RB Michael Turner (ankle) is unable to play.

FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. However, the team is optimistic he won't be out as long as high ankle sprains usually keep a player out.
Fantasy Impact: Jason Snelling will be a hot item on waivers this week. He gets the start as long as Turner is out.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) rushed for 111 yards on nine carries before leaving the team's Week 10 game early because of an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact: Turner was having another big game before getting hurt. We'll keep you posted on the injury but it could be an issue the next several weeks.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner (ankle) went back to the locker room after spraining his right ankle in Week 10. Turner rolled his ankle on a 10-yard run and tried walking without his shoe on before heading inside. His return is questionable. RB Jason Snelling ran for a touchdown after Turner left.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner rushed for a season-high 166 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in Week 9.
Fantasy Impact: Turner is really coming on of late. He is making a case for top fantasy back with his play of late.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner had 20 carries for 151 yards with a touchdown Week 8.
Fantasy Impact: Turner had a huge game, running with power and speed. He looked like the guy from last season, which is a good sign going forward.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons RB Michael Turner has been held under 70 yards rushing in four of the team's six games this season. He has only one 100-yard game and is averaging just 3.4 yards per carry. Turner averaged 4.5 yards per carry in 2008 and ranked second in the NFL with 1,699 yards rushing.
Fantasy Impact: Needless to say, Turner isn't producing near the numbers of last season. Maybe all the work from last year is taking a bit of a toll. Who knows?
