It took a few weeks for Gronk to round into form in his return from injury last season, but he got back to health and was the best tight end in the game once again. He was first overall in fantasy scoring for tight ends. Gronk scored 12 touchdowns and has three 100-yard games. He finished with a 1,000-yard season and even sat out the last game of the year. Gronk has double-digit touchdowns all but one season in the NFL and two 1,000-yard seasons. He is the premier tight end in the game. He does have an injury history, which is always a concern, but is the top target in this offense as long as he is playing. Gronk has tremendous size, runs solid routes and has enough speed to make plays downfield. He is the complete package at tight end.
Gronk is the clear No. 1 fantasy tight end, worthy of being selected in the first round of fantasy drafts. He is a difference maker at a position that doesn't have many guys producing huge numbers. Gronk produces more like a No. 1 fantasy receiver than tight end. Expect his numbers to get a little better this year, a year removed from a major injury. He can get 90 or so receptions for 1,200 yards with 14 touchdowns.

New England Patriots TE Scott Chandler is seeing a lot of targets in training camp and could be a scary complement to TE Rob Gronkowski in two-tight end packages.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski had his deal restructured Tuesday, Aug. 4, which awarded him $4 million of his $10 million bonus that was due at the end of the 2015 league year. Gronkowski's contract called for a $10 million option bonus for the team to decide upon by the end of the 2015 league year that would, in effect, kick in the remaining four years on his deal. If the team opted to decline that bonus, Gronkowski would become a free agent.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is an offensive weapon that the Seattle Seahawks are focused on shutting down during the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll thinks his team matches up well against the All-Pro tight end, though, as LBs K.J. Wright and Bruce Irvin are 'pretty tall and long' and SS Kam Chancellor is 'about as big a strong safety as you can find.' The Seahawks will be focused on not allowing Gronkowski and QB Tom Brady to take over the game.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski could cause a problem for the Seattle Seahawks during Super Bowl XLIX, because the Seahawks defense allowed 11 touchdowns to tight ends this season, which was third most in the NFL. Gronkowski led the Patriots in touchdown catches during the regular season.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is often a tough matchup for opposing defenses, but Seattle Seahawks CB Jeremy Lane said he doesn't think Gronkowski is 'that good.' 'He's OK. He does have a big body. But from what I've seen on tape, he doesn't like you putting your hands on him. So if we put our hands on him and shake him up a little bit, he won't catch that many balls,' Lane said. Gronkowski caught 82 passes for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Lane could be lined up often against Gronkowski in the slot in the Super Bowl.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski is likely to be covered by Baltimore Ravens FS Will Hill in the divisional round game Saturday, Jan. 10. 'It's not just a one-man job, it's a team effort. He's not a slow guy. If you try to play off him, you're just giving him what he needs. If you play up, he has the strength to get through people. He's a beast. He has a lot of aggression,' Hill said. Gronkowski has three catches for 45 yards in two previous regular season meetings with the Ravens. However, in the Patriots' one win over the Ravens in the postseason, Gronkowski had five catches for 87 yards on eight targets before hurting his ankle. Baltimore plans on jamming Gronkowski at the line of scrimmage to prevent him from getting into his patterns.
