Houston Texans WR Lestar Jean practiced as a starter Sunday, July 29, with WR Andre Johnson (groin) sidelined. The Florida Atlantic University product also did so during organized team activities (OTAs) when Johnson was out with a knee ailment. 'He's got a ways to go,' head coach Gary Kubiak said. 'I love his work habits. I love how he goes about his business. He's got all the tools: the size, he can run, he's smart. Lestar has just got to become a pro. Every day, he just has to be consistent and make a play. He had a couple chances to make plays this morning that he needs to make. I'm not being hard on him. That's just the way it is.'
Fantasy Impact: Right now, it seems the starter's job is Jean's to lose.
Houston Texans WRs Lestar Jean and DeVier Posey have been putting in extra work after each practice of training camp, running routes and catching passes on the field. They both caught passes from a JUGS machine for about 15 minutes after practice Sunday, July 29.

Houston Texans WR Lestar Jean has taken advantage of the absence of WR Andre Johnson (knee), running with the first team opposite WR Kevin Walter.
Fantasy Impact: Jean could have a big role this season if he continues to impress.
Houston Texans WR Lestar Jean has drawn rave reviews during organized team activities (OTAs), and he has earned the nickname 'Big Play,' making impressive catches his norm. The second-year product out of Florida Atlantic University has been persistently following and asking WR Andre Johnson for advice. 'He's always up on me,' Johnson said. 'Asking me this, asking me that. Wondering how I do this, wondering how I do that.' Jean can play all three receiver positions, and the team is giving him first crack at the third receiver job.
Fantasy Impact: Jean has a chance to play a bigger role this season and could be worth a late-round flier come draft day.
