Summary

Quarterback Rank: #7All Players: #56
Luck didn't throw for as many yards as his rookie season but he didn't turn the ball over as much and won a lot of games once again despite missing his No. 1 receiver nearly the entire season. Luck played well considering the circumstances. He threw for nearly 4,000 yards and had 27 total touchdowns to just nine interceptions. Luck continues to emerge as a top quarterback in the NFL. He is the centerpiece of the offense. Luck is a cerebral quarterback that is accurate and seems to know his limitations even at a young age. Luck doesn't have a huge arm but it is strong enough to make all the throws. He did a much better job of completing the ball downfield.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Luck should see an uptick in production this season, getting his receivers back healthy and being another year older in the offense. We like his chances for a career seasons. He can throw for more than 4,000 yards and score 30-plus touchdowns. He isn't in the elite group of fantasy quarterbacks but just outside that group.

comments about Andrew Luck

Notes

Although Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson has $13.7 million in salary cap space available, he does not plan to use all of it so he has room down the road to reward QB Andrew Luck and WR T.Y. Hilton with new deals.

The Indianapolis Colts will be a score-first team, according to offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton. The team will still run the ball, but in order to win games, they may have to let QB Andrew Luck throw the ball more often.
Fantasy Impact: Luck is going to have another big season. He'll get plenty of chances in this offense.

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck said he thinks Miami Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin would be a good fit for the team, and he supports the idea of the Colts bringing his former teammate at Stanford into the fold. 'I'd say I love Jon, we had a great time at Stanford together, still stay in touch with him regularly and I think he's a great man,' Luck said regarding the input he'd provide, if/when (when) he's asked about Martin.

While the Indianapolis Colts will have more than $30 million to spend, a bunch of big name free agents this offseason are not likely. New contracts for WR T.Y. Hilton and QB Andrew Luck are on the horizon, so much of that cap space will be saved for re-signing current players or cheaper free agents.

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck will play in the 2014 Pro Bowl in place of Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson.

With 7,673 passing yards in 30 regular-season starts, Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck needs 248 for the most by a quarterback in his first two seasons. Carolina's Cam Newton had 7,920 in 2011-12 and the Colts' Peyton Manning had 7,874 in 1998-99. Also, Luck has 20 wins, tied for fourth-most by a QB in his first two seasons. Seattle's Russell Wilson has 23 with two games to play while Ben Roethlisberger had 22 in 2004-05 and Dan Marino 21 in 1983-84.
Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck picked up his 20th career win in the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans, tying Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco and Atlanta Falcons WR Matt Ryan for the fourth-most wins in a quarterback's first two NFL seasons since 1970. Luck has nine touchdowns and just one interception in four career games against the Texans.

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck was sacked four times and hit 11 times in the team's Week 9 win over the Houston Texans, and the Colts have allowed 63 quarterback hits this year, the third most in the league. Luck has been sacked 19 times in 2013. 'We have to be more consistent,' head coach Chuck Pagano said. 'Toward the end of that (Houston) game, when we're making big plays, we got things blocked up. Andrew has time, he can step up and make those big plays to T.Y. (Hilton). It's just a matter of doing it down after down on a consistent basis.'
Fantasy Impact: The line hasn't been very good for the Colts, which is causing Luck to have some erratic games. He seems to be doing a good job of avoiding making mistakes despite being hurried, though, which is a positive.

Former Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren said he offered their entire collection of 2012 draft picks to the Indianapolis Colts to trade up and select QB Andrew Luck.
