Summary

Quarterback Rank: #40All Players: #265
After getting in some games his rookie season, Lindley fell to third on the depth chart last season with the Cardinals. He'll try to move up the depth chart this season to serve as the top backup. As mentioned, Lindley did start some games his rookie season but struggled with those chances. He didn't have a touchdown pass and was intercepted seven times in six games. He completed just 52 percent of his passes and his season high in yards was 312, but he had more than 115 yards just one game. Lindley has a plus arm and is an athletic quarterback that can make plays on the run with both his arm and legs. He struggles with accuracy, though, and has consistency issues. The speed of the pro game seemed too much for him his rookie year.
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Lindley might have had his best chance his rookie season. His career seems to be going the wrong way. He'll just hope to keep a roster spot this year.

Arizona Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley will start the team's Week 17 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact: It seems the Cardinals have had a change of heart. Logan Thomas was expected to start but he must have struggled in practice, giving Lindley the starting job for Week 17.

Arizona Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley enters the Week 16 game against the Seattle Seahawks with 181 pass attempts without a touchdown, which is the most in NFL history, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. The Seahawks have allowed only two passing TDs and have intercepted four passes in their last five games. Lindley has the worst completion percentage (51.4), fewest yards per attempt (4.3), least amount of touchdowns (0) and lowest total QBR (9.1) among 60 quarterbacks with a minimum of 150 passing attempts since 2012, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Arizona Cardinals QB Logan Thomas and QB Ryan Lindley are both options to start in Week 16, but head coach Bruce Arians said Friday, Dec. 12, that he won't make a decision on a starter until Sunday, Dec. 14.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, you would have to think Lindley will start but nothing is certain right now.

Arizona Cardinals QB Drew Stanton (knee) will undergo more tests when the team returns to Arizona, according to head coach Bruce Arians. 'We'll take it very slow with him and see how it goes once we get in the MRI and all that information,' Arians said. Stanton suffered a right knee injury as a rookie in 2007 and had surgery, and he also tore ligaments in his right knee in 2003 in college. QB Ryan Lindley replaced Stanton in the game Thursday, Dec. 11, with Arians electing Lindley over rookie QB Logan Thomas because of Lindley's experience.

The Arizona Cardinals have QBs Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley under contract, so it is unlikely they will make a move in the offseason to upgrade. Head coach Bruce Arians has made it clear Palmer is the team's starter next season, and he has confidence in Stanton as the backup.
