New England Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard had his trial continue in Nebraska Wednesday, Feb. 13. He is accused of punching a police officer outside a Nebraska bar. One of the officer's colleagues testified that he witnessed the punch Wednesday. Dennard claims he did not punch the officer, although admits to pushing him. The trial will continue Thursday, Feb. 14.

Dennard is charged with third-degree assault on an officer, a Class 3A felony, resisting arrest, first offense, which is a Class I misdemeanor, and third-degree assault, which is also a Class I misdemeanor in Nebraska.

New England Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard missed practice Wednesday, Jan. 16, because he was in Nebraska, at a hearing on pretrial motions in relation to an arrest last April, according to documents from the District Court of Lancaster County, Neb. Dennard was charged with felony assault and two related misdemeanors after being arrested outside a bar. He allegedly punched a police officer during a disturbance. The court documents noted that a trial date has been officially set for Feb. 11.
