comments about Austin Davis

Notes

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis has been benched, and QB Shaun Hill will start in Week 11 Sunday, Nov. 16.
Fantasy Impact: This isn't a huge surprise with Davis really struggling the past three games.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis will continue to be the team's starting quarterback, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.
Fantasy Impact: Davis has been a disaster the last few games. The Rams should really consider giving Shaun Hill a shot because the rest of the team is playing pretty well.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis (knee) left the Week 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter after an awkward slide knocked his knee brace askew.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis was 18-for-21 for 152 yards in the team's Week 7 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and former QB Brett Favre thinks Davis could be special in the league. 'Not to sound off my rocker, but (Davis) -- in my mind -- can be the next Tom Brady or Kurt Warner. (Brian) Hoyer as well,' Favre said. Davis' 86 percent completion rate against the Seahawks was the highest accuracy mark against a defending Super Bowl champion (minimum of 20 passes). It was also the second highest completion percentage against the Seahawks.
Fantasy Impact: Davis is really playing well for just getting thrown into things. We'll know more about him in the tougher matchups but he has shown pretty well for now.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis completed 11 of his 14 pass attempts for 137 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the first half of the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers. His scoring strike went for 22 yards to TE Lance Kendricks.
St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis completed 29 of his 49 pass attempts for 375 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 5 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was his first start since being named as the starter for the rest of the season.
Fantasy Impact: Davis is performing better than expected as the starter for the Rams. He is posting some big numbers and is fantasy relevant as a No. 2 quarterback.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis has been named the team's starting quarterback moving forward.
Fantasy Impact: This isn't a surprise. He deserves to be the starter. Consider him a low-end No. 2 for fantasy teams. He might be worth using in a pinch in the right matchup.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis was the starting quarterback for the team's Week 3 game.

St. Louis Rams QB Austin Davis completed 16 of 23 passes for 192 yards and an interception in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, coming on for the injured QB Shaun Hill (quadriceps).
Fantasy Impact: Davis wasn't great by any means even though his numbers were alright. He isn't a fantasy option if he is starting.
St. Louis Rams QBs Austin Davis and Garrett Gilbert will compete for the No. 3 quarterback job if the team decides to keep three quarterbacks on the roster this upcoming season.
