Bowe dealt with terrible quarterback play and missed time because of injury but still managed 801-receiving yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. He still played pretty well despite some things stacked against him. Bowe had two 100-yard games and just three games with fewer than 50 yards. He was pretty consistent much of the year. He gets a legit quarterback in Alex Smith throwing him passes this year and a new offense that should be pass friendly. Bowe seems setup for a big season. Bowe has 1,000-yard seasons three of his last five. Bowe is a big, strong receiver that isn't afraid to make the tough catch. He also is a load to bring down in the space because of his size and elusiveness. Bowe still struggles with some drops, lacking concentration at times.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Bowe has huge upside for this coming season. He should get plenty of targets in a much better passing game. Consider him a low-end No. 1 or top No. 2 for fantasy teams. He can get 85 receptions for 1,200 yards and nine touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe said he likes the offense that head coach Andy Reid has brought to the team. 'Throwing the ball deep, that's something we haven't done in the past so I'm excited right now. The play calling is totally different from last year. It's not check downs or putting it in the running back's hands. This guy likes to go down the field, take the top off (the defense) and that's something we haven't done in the past, put up a lot of points. This season he said we're going to blow out the scoreboard and that's something I'm looking forward to,' Bowe said.
Fantasy Impact: Bowe has a chance for a big season in this offense.

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey said he believes WR Dwayne Bowe has the skills to be one of the top wide receivers in the NFL and that Bowe is looking for to the challenge of becoming one. 'He's a receiver and receivers have unique personalities. But he's a very talented guy. We sat and talked. I told him it's his responsibility to uphold his end of the bargain. He said he understood the challenge ahead and he totally embraced that challenge,' Dorsey said.

The Kansas City Chiefs are working on a long-term deal with impending free-agent WR Dwayne Bowe but could place the franchise tag on him if a deal is not reached by Monday, March 4. Bowe would get a one-year, $11.4 million tender if he receives the franchise tag because it will be the second consecutive year to receive the tag and would get 20 percent raise. Bowe made $9.4 million this season.
