After starting some of the season and playing alright in 2010, Smith couldn't find work last season. Smith is a good athlete. He doesn't have a huge arm, but can make plays on the move and push the ball downfield. Smith needs to work on his accuracy (completes just 52 percent of his passes for his career) and decision making. At age 28, Smith still has some time to get going but looks more like a backup than starter for NFL teams.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Smith still remains far from polished and sitting out last season isn't going to help. He was a stretch even when starting for the 49ers a few years back so don't bother with him come draft day.

Smith had his struggles his third start of the season Week 11. He finished with just 148-passing yards and was intercepted. He failed to lead the 49ers to a touchdown. His hold on the starter's job could be tenuous.
