Anthony J. Fusco, attorney for New York Jets RB Mike Goodson, said the other arrested person involved in Goodson's arrest last month said the gun found in the car was his and not Goodson's. Goodson was charged with possession of a firearm and hollow-point bullets, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Goodson's chances to stay with the Jets would improve if the gun charges against him are dropped.

New York Jets RB Mike Goodson looked good while participating in organized team activities Thursday, May 30, catching passes and showing quick feet to beat defenders. 'You see the speed that he has,' head coach Rex Ryan said. 'That's what jumps out at me anyway. He had the ball in the open field a couple times, and you see the acceleration that he has. That's been impressive.'
Fantasy Impact: He could play a big role with the team if his off the field stuff goes away, but we aren't sure that happens.

New York Jets RB Mike Goodson will plead not guilty to all charges, with the most serious being a second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. If convicted, Goodson would face a minimum three-year prison sentence under the Graves Act. Goodson's defense is confident they will show that he was not in possession of the gun. Goodson also faces a third-degree possession of a loaded handgun and marijuana and paraphernalia charges.
Fantasy Impact: Goodson remains in a heap of trouble and is no sure thing to keep a roster spot going forward.

New York Jets RB Mike Goodson was in attendance at the team's first OTA practice Monday, May 20, but only to meet with team officials following his arrest on drug and weapons charges last week. Goodson didn't participate or watch the team's workouts, and his future with the team is uncertain. If Goodson pleads guilty or is convicted of unlawful possession of a handgun, he'll be subject to the Graves Act, which is a New Jersey law that carries a minimum of three years in jail.
Fantasy Impact: Goodson is facing possible jail time, so it doesn't look good for him playing this year. He had a chance to start for the Jets this season but blew it with this off the field transgression.

New York Jets RB Mike Goodson was arrested Friday, May 17, and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a loaded handgun and possession of a hollow-point bullet. Goodson was being held on $50,000 full cash bail.
Fantasy Impact: He could face jail time for this, which doesn't help his NFL future. He had a chance to start in New York this season but seems likely to be released from the team now.
