Casey played more fullback last year, which got him on the field more often. He had a career high in receptions and yards. Casey made some big plays in the passing game, averaging 14.4 yards per reception. He finished with 18 receptions for 260 yards. Casey might play a bigger role from day one this year, especially at tight end because of some openings at the position. Casey might be the top backup to Owen Daniels at tight end. Casey runs well and can makes plays with the ball in his hands, but struggles some with his route running and isn't much of a blocker. He is making strides across the board, though, and has a chance to get on the field even more in 2012.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Casey might improve on last season but remains a stretch for fantasy teams. His work is too sporadic to be dependable for fantasy teams - even in a backup role. His overall numbers could be around 25 catches for 300 yards and a score or two.
