Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant said he found himself, and that has led to a quiet offseason with no off-field issues. 'I found myself,' Bryant said Tuesday after the Cowboys' first organized team activity. 'I'm comfortable with my life. I'm enjoying being in the NFL. I wish it could've been a couple years back, but I had to go through a couple of things to figure it out. I think I got it and I'm just more focused on my job and doing what I love to do and that's playing football.'

Former Dallas Cowboys receivers coach Jimmy Robinson has been retained by the organization as a coaching consultant because he has been a positive influence on WR Dez Bryant. 'Jimmy had a really positive impact on Dez,' head coach Jason Garrett said. 'It was a breakout year for Dez. He caught 92 balls for 1,300-plus yards and really played very, very good football. I think he matured a ton, and there's no question the environment he was in certainly helped him, and Jimmy was a big part of that.'

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (finger) underwent successful surgery Tuesday, Jan. 8, on his left index finger. He'll likely be out for parts of the team's offseason conditioning program, and he won't be rushed back this summer. The hope is that he will be 100 percent ready for training camp in late July, if not sooner for a possible June minicamp.

Test results on the back of Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (back, finger) revealed no structural damage. He suffered a back injury in Week 17 against the Washington Redskins, and was diagnosed with back spasms. He was using crutches to walk Tuesday, Jan. 1. Nothing has been determined as to when he'll undergo surgery for the fractured left index finger he suffered in December.
