Jones had just six carries and eight total touches last season. He hasn't progressed much at running back and there is talk he could be moved to cornerback going forward. So for now, it doesn't seem like he is in the plans at running back for the Raiders. He has 94-rushing yards in two seasons. Jones has some ability, though, and could be a third-down back with more seasoning. Jones is a speed back, an ideal change-of-pace back. He has blazing speed and top moves in the open field. He isn't big at all, though, which limits his role offensively.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Don't bother with Jones. It is looking more and more like he will be moved to defense, which obviously leaves him no value at running back for fantasy teams.

Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said he would like to see RB Taiwan Jones become a cornerback next season because he believes Jones has the skill set to play the position. McKenzie said it will not be easy for Jones to change positions but believes he will be able to make the change.

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he'd like to see more of RB Taiwan Jones and QB Terrelle Pryor in the season's final three games. Jones has only eight touches in 13 games this season and Pryor hasn't played at all.

Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones had just two carries in Week 10 with RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle) out of the lineup and he is expected to see limited touches again in Week 11. Offensive coordinator Greg Knapp said he needs to see Jones improve in pass protection. 'We told him going into the game that the two things that we have to see improvement on is ball security as well as assignments,' Knapp said. 'Assignments not so much in the run game but in the pass protection and in the route running. That's still a part of his game that he's still improving on. We got to keep in mind, he's still a young player. I've got to see (that) in practice first, consistently. And I haven't seen it consistently in practice, and that's what we look for, is perfection in practice.'

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday, Nov. 14, that RB Taiwan Jones is showing some improvement, as far as 'staying healthy, knowing what to do and protecting the ball.' Allen said once Jones proves he can do all of those things, his role will expand.

Oakland Raiders RB Taiwan Jones managed just two carries for six yards, and one catch for seven yards, in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens despite the face his team was down RBs Darren McFadden (ankle) and Mike Goodson (ankle).
Fantasy Impact: The Raiders clearly don't trust Jones. He isn't worth using even with the injuries at running back for the Raiders.
