Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill was sharp during organized team activities Tuesday, May 21. Tannehill had big passes to WRs Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace. TE Dustin Keller was impressed with Tannehill's first practice. "You would think a guy who used to play wide receiver the best thing he does is run the ball," Keller said. "But he puts the ball right on the money and he's a good decision maker, as well."

In recent weeks, Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has watched tape of every throw he made in 2012, evaluating his mechanics and the decisions he made at the line of scrimmage. 'I'm really trying to improve on the things I didn't do well last year,' Tannehill said Tuesday, April 23. 'Get better at the things I did do OK, and go from there.'

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland praised QB Ryan Tannehill on the first day of the NFL Draft Combine. 'As I've said before, Ryan's got 35, 36 games under his belt as a starting quarterback combined from a college and pro career,' Ireland said. 'And you'd normally like to have 35 games under your belt as a graduating senior so I still think there's a bunch of upside left in Ryan's potential. I like what I see so far. I love his intangible makeup. I love his athletic skill set. We have a long way to go. He knows that. But he can get a lot better. I'm very confident in that.'

"I think the axiom that you go by in scouting is you like to see a quarterback with 30 starts under his belt before he's ready to play, and we kind of violated that, our principle," Ireland said.

"He's got (36) starts under his belt to this day, and that's huge," Ireland said. "I think we're better for it, I think Ryan is better for it.
