The St. Louis Rams plan to lean on WR Austin Pettis and Brian Quick more in 2013 with WRs Danny Amendola (Patriots) and Brandon Gibson (Dolphins) leaving via free agency.
Fantasy Impact: Quick has a chance to take a big step forward this season.

If impending free-agent WRs Danny Amendola (Rams) and Brandon Gibson (Rams) are not brought back, that would leave St. Louis Rams WRs Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and Brian Quick as the only wideouts under contract with the team in 2013. However, head coach Jeff Fisher doesn't sound concerned either way, noting the team could look for help outside the organization. 'Not a concern whatsoever,' Fisher said. 'There's options out there. The free-agent market, there's options out there, and it's a great draft for a receiver this year.'

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said the team will look to get WR Brian Quick more involved down the stretch. Quick has been limited to a handful of plays at wide receiver each week, but he's becoming more comfortable in a special teams role as the season progresses. Quick saw more action with WR Chris Givens disciplined last week, and he's learning to react more in his routes instead of thinking his way through them. Quick's touchdown play last week has given him the needed confidence moving forward.
Fantasy Impact: Quick still isn't worth using for fantasy teams but has a slight chance to help before the season is over.

St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick has been slow to show much or play much, and he hasn't looked ready to play. The team's second-round draft pick has the size to give the team much-needed help in the red zone and on third down.
Fantasy Impact: Quick has been a big disappointment to date. He has time to turn it around as he is young but don't expect much this season.

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher wants to get WRs Chris Givens and Brian Quick time with the first-team offense in the preseason finale, although he also admitted WR Steve E. Smith hasn't had much chance to work with QB Sam Bradford either. 'Yes, there's a chance I'll move them up. I'd like to see Givens and Quick in there, but they're all young receivers,' Fisher said. 'You take, for example, Steve Smith's case. He hasn't really had an opportunity to work with Sam. We'll play as many as we can earlier in the game and with the numbers down, they'll be playing throughout the game.'

St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick is having a terrific preseason, using his size to his advantage. While still playing with the second-team offense, Quick has stood out, and as Rams QB Sam Bradford pointed out, it appears that the light bulb has come on for him. The next step for Quick will be getting reps with the first-team offense.
Fantasy Impact: It should only be a matter of time before Quick is starting.

St. Louis Rams rookie WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens will both see action for the team. The straight ahead speed Givens brings to the table may allow him to see a bit more time than Quick, who has had some dropped balls and is still learning to use his size in the NFL.

St. Louis Rams rookie WR Brian Quick (back spasms) left the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 18, early with back spasms. The injury does not appear to be serious. Quick had three catches for 20 yards during the game and used his size to create problems for the defense. He just missed out on a potential 9-yard touchdown. If he keeps working hard, he could become an asset in the red zone.
