Williams did well as the top backup for the Ravens last season, running for nearly 500 yards in a reserve role. He averaged 4.1 yards per carry and caught 13 passes. Williams did rush for the lowest total of his career in a full season, though. And after the season, Williams said he was retiring. He didn't completely close the book on playing but it makes sense as he turns 35 before the start of the season. Williams has five 1,000-yard seasons in his career and has topped 650-rushing yards three of the last four seasons. Williams runs with power and still has enough speed to make plays to the outside. He also is an underrated receiver, catching 342 passes in his career.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Apparently, Williams is done so cross him off your draft list. You never know with him but we think you can finally close the book on him. He had a solid NFL career.

Updating a previous item, retired RB Ricky Williams said that he would consider coming out of retirement to play for his hometown San Diego Chargers. The Chargers, however, have not pursued Williams. It is also unlikely that general manager A.J. Smith would give up a draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens, who own the rights to Williams.

Retired NFL RB Ricky Williams is not ruling out a return to the league because he is not sure how he will feel in the future. 'The easy answer is I've moved on. But the thing I've learned about myself is, who the hell knows?,' Williams said.
Fantasy Impact: We doubt he returns but you can never rule him out based off past history.

Fantasy Impact: Williams isn't worth using unless Ray Rice gets hurt.

Baltimore Ravens RB Ricky Williams had nine runs for 24 yards in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he added one reception for 11 yards. The nine carries were his most since Week 4 when he tied a season-high with 12 attempts.
Fantasy Impact: Williams is getting a little more work of late but still not much of a fantasy option.

Fantasy Impact: Williams got more work because the Ravens were up big. Don't expect this type of production every week.
