Summary

Tight End Rank: #133All Players: #858
Kelly caught a pass for seven yards in 16 games with the Falcons last season. He got little work in the passing game. And at age 35, he isn't likely to see a surge in stats. He might even have a hard time making an NFL roster. Kelly has never been much of a pass catcher (career high is 31) but he is an asset to the running game. He is a good blocker for the position. If he makes a team, Kelly will get little work in the passing game, being used as a safety valve more than anything. He averages less than 10 yards per reception for his career (9.1).
FANTASY OUTLOOK
Kelly is about done. Please go with younger options that have more upside. There are a lot of guys we would consider before wasting a roster spot on Kelly.

Notes

The Atlanta Falcons are unlikely to bring back TE Reggie Kelly (Falcons) in 2012. The team likes their young TEs Michael Palmer and Ryan Winterswyk, and they gave TE Tony Gonzalez an extension.

Fantasy Impact: That was quick. Kelly looks to be the top backup to Tony Gonzalez this season but should be more of a blocker than anything.

Cincinnati Bengals TEs Reggie Kelly and Chase Coffman could see extended playing time in Week 14 if TE Jermaine Gresham (personal) is not able to play in the game, reports Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer.
