A 1-22 season is easily within sight.  So with that in mind it is time to turn the page to 2027 for me.  This team could go one of two ways for me. 

• It gets so young that I keep the team
• I make it attractive to get a sucker like myself

So every player is available.  However I do not want to give up more than one player at a time.  This would hopefully maximize the draft capital.  Generally I would look to trade for a good young hitter and a round 1 pick.  My team is not loaded, but has several really good players.

For Bregman, Rooker, Hancock, Gavin Williams or Jared Jones, it would take a really good young hitter and two top (picks 1 and a 2).

So with that... the cabinet is open.  

Good haul for Hunter Greene. If Harrison is still available, let me know what works.

MLB Hot Stove was cooking. What do you think so far? Do you have a favorite MLB team?

It's no secret that I'm a BoSox fan, and I give them a passing grade on the off season so far, even if they missed on Alonso and Bregman.

I like the pitching upgrades of Sonny Grey, Ranger Suarez (I'd perfer Framber), and even Oviedo. Not sure the Willson Contreras at 1B is the answer, but he is an upgrade for the Sox. Between he and a potential Casas, I'm good. I like Marcello Mayers at 3B, but they still have a hole a 2B.  Bichette would have been great, but I'd settle for Marte.  They have a ton of Major League trade capital and still plenty of prospects, I suspect another big move.

Off-season boredom has set in, Thanksgiving, Black Friday & Cyber Monday are coming up, I've been vacationing and playing the horses in Del Mar (except for Saturday which was rained out by torrential downpours but the weather has been great otherwise.)

It occurred to me at the beach today that I have no idea who to take at 1.01 in the draft.

Soooo, I am considering trading down, although not too far.  I have no room on my roster to add players, so I am only interested in a strong picks offer.  

Despite my inability to determine who to select at #1, the pick should have value to someone more knowledgeable about prospects than I am.

I'll consider offers that come my way between now and 12/1, after which I will start trying to decipher the prospect pool if the pick isn't moved.  I'm not desperate, but I am lazy, so please save me the work. Or, you could just wait for me to commit a fatal error at #1 and have your top pick fall to you, which is a distinct possibility.
