Max Meyer remained unbeaten Saturday, teaming with a pair of relievers on a three-hitter as the host Miami Marlins locked up a series win by beating the New York Mets 4-1 in the second game of a three-game set.

Liam Hicks had his first career two-homer game for the Marlins, who have won consecutive games for the first time since May 9-10.

Mark Vientos had two hits, including a ninth-inning RBI single to end the shutout bid, for the Mets, who have been limited to two runs and six hits over the last two games. New York has lost four of its last five after opening May with 11 wins in its first 16 games.

Meyer (5-0) gave up one hit -- Vientos' single leading off the second -- and walked three with eight strikeouts while winning his third straight start. The 27-year-old is 4-0 with a 1.76 ERA in five starts this month, which began when Myers limited the Philadelphia Phillies to one hit over seven innings while earning the win in Miami's 4-0 victory on May 2.

Anthony Bender retired all four batters he faced before the Mets mounted a rally against Andrew Nardi, who gave up a two-out, pinch-hit double to Tyrone Taylor and Vientos' RBI single before he retired A.J. Ewing on a grounder to third.

Owen Caissie continued his strong series by delivering a two-run double off Freddy Peralta (3-4) in the second. Caissie had both RBIs in Friday's 2-1 win.

Hicks then homered in the third and fifth. He is the first Marlins hitter with a two-homer game since Trey Johnston, who went deep twice last Sept. 13.

Every Marlins starter had at least one hit Saturday except Kyle Stowers and Jakob Marsee.

Peralta allowed all four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out nine over a season-high seven innings.
