Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 26 points and Aaron Wiggins added 19, as the Oklahoma City Thunder extended their winning streak to six games by holding on for a 103-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points with 10 rebounds and James Harden added 17 points as the Clippers saw their five-game winning streak come to an end.
Trailing 101-100, the Clippers had multiple chances to take the lead in the final 22 seconds, but Norman Powell missed a 3-point attempt and Leonard was off target on a contested 21-footer.
Gilgeous-Alexander extended the lead to three points against his former team on two free throws with three seconds remaining. The Clippers got the ball back, but Leonard was intentionally fouled. After purposefully missing the second free throw, they could not score at the buzzer.
Cavaliers 120, Jazz 91
Jarrett Allen scored 18 points to help Cleveland snap a season-high four-game losing streak in a road win over Utah.
De'Andre Hunter added 15 points and Evan Mobley contributed 11 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks in the win. Darius Garland and Ty Jerome each scored 12 for the Cavs, who hadn't won for nine days.
Kyle Filipowski led the short-handed Jazz with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Utah shot just 36 percent from the field while losing for the 12th time in 13 outings. That included a 16-for-50 performance from beyond the arc.
Hawks 132, 76ers 119
Trae Young scored 28 points, one of three Atlanta players with 20 or more points, to lead the team to its third straight win, a victory over visiting Philadelphia.
Young made four 3-pointers and added 12 assists for his 42nd double-double. He joined rookie Zaccharie Risacher (22 points) and Georges Niang (20 points) as the Hawks won for the seventh time in nine games and have a two-game lead for the No. 7 spot in the East.
Philadelphia has lost four in a row and 19 of 22. The Sixers are seven games behind Miami for the No. 10 playoff spot with 11 games remaining. Quentin Grimes scored 26 points for the 11th time in 20 games that he's scored at least 25 points.
Heat 122, Hornets 105
Andrew Wiggins scored 15 of his season-high 42 points in the decisive third quarter as host Miami snapped its 10-game losing streak, beating Charlotte.
Snapping their longest skid since 2007-08, the Heat got 29 points from Tyler Herro, who played with a left hip contusion. Bam Adebayo played despite a sprained left knee and scored 11 points.
The Hornets were led by LaMelo Ball, who posted 18 points and a game-high 11 assists.
Pistons 136, Pelicans 130
Rookie Ron Holland tied a career high with 26 points as Detroit defeated visiting New Orleans for the second time in less than a week.
Holland added six assists and five rebounds while Jalen Duren powered for 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Pistons, who romped to a 127-81 win on the Pelicans' home floor on Monday.
CJ McCollum carried New Orleans with 40 points. The Pistons played without All-Star Cade Cunningham due to a calf injury while Pelicans forward Zion Williamson missed the contest due to a lower back contusion.
Spurs 123, Raptors 89
Devin Vassell scored 12 of his 25 points in the third quarter and visiting San Antonio dominated Toronto.
Julian Champagnie added 20 points for the Spurs, who have won three straight. Stephon Castle scored 15 points, Sandro Mamukelashvili added 13 points and Harrison Barnes had 10.
Scottie Barnes scored 22 points for the Raptors, who have lost four in a row. RJ Barrett added 18 points, Jamal Shead scored 17 and Ja'Kobe Walter had 10.
Nuggets 116, Rockets 111
Jamal Murray scored 17 of his game-high 39 points in a turnaround third quarter as Denver claimed a critical victory over host Houston.
Denver shot 50.6 percent from the field (44 of 87) and closed within one game of Houston for second place in the Western Conference. Jordan (11 points, 15 rebounds) posted a double-double subbing for the injured Nikola Jokic (ankle).
Jalen Green scored 30 points to pace the Rockets, who had their nine-game winning streak snapped. Dillon Brooks added 21 points with five 3-pointers.
New Orleans Pelicans guardCJ McCollum(rest) won't play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. McCollum will get the night off to rest after dropping 40 points, five rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 37 minutes in Sunday's 136-130 loss to the Pistons. The 33-year-old is one of seven Pelicans listed as unavailable for tonight's contest.Yves Missi(hip) could also be sidelined, as he is listed as questionable due to right hip soreness. McCollum will likely be back in action against Golden State on Friday.
As expected, Denver Nuggets centerNikola Jokic(ankle) will be out of action on Monday against the Chicago Bulls. Jokic has been dealing with an ankle issue and will miss his fifth consecutive contest. The Nuggets start a five-game homestand tonight, and the big man will likely return soon. Fantasy managers can expect veteran center DeAndre Jordan to start versus the Bulls. He most recently posted 11 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and one steal across 38 minutes of work in a 116-111 win over the Rockets on Sunday.
New Orleans Pelicans forwardZion Williamson(back) won't play on Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Williamson will be out of action for the third consecutive contest due to a back contusion. The 24-year-old is one of seven Pelicans listed as unavailable for tonight's contest. Yves Missi (hip) could also be sidelined, as he is listed as questionable due to right hip soreness. The Pelicans won't be making the postseason, so how much Williamson will play during the final 10 regular season games is unclear. Kelly Olynyk, Jose Alvarado,Jordan Hawkins and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will likely have heavy workloads this evening with so many Pelicans on the shelf.
Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (calf) has been ruled out for the third consecutive game due to a sore right calf. The Bucks aren't going to risk Lillard's health if they don't have to with the playoffs coming in just a few weeks. The timing of this extended absence couldn't come at a worse time for fantasy managers though. Ryan Rollins has moved into the starting five but has had a limited fantasy ceiling in both points and category leagues. Two names to look for streaming-wise have been Gary Trent Jr. (probable - back) and Kevin Porter Jr. Both saw more minutes than Rollins despite coming off of the bench, while Porter registered 18 points, six assists, and three rebounds in their last game on Saturday.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) remains on the injury report as usual but he's considered probable on Monday and should play against the Phoenix Suns. The former MVP will likely be the team's focal point once again with Damian Lillard (calf) ruled out. In their last game against the Sacramento Kings with Lillard sidelined, Antetokounmpo finished with 32 points, 17 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and only two turnovers while shooting 12-for-20 from the floor. Look for him to have another big game against the Suns who have one of the worst defenses in the NBA (26th in Defensive rating).
Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter (illness) appeared on the injury report as questionable for the Monday night matchup with the Boston Celtics while he deals with some sort of illness. The rookie guard has seen quite the fluctuation in minutes lately and has struggled to find his shooting efficiency, so his fantasy value is very limited, especially if Malik Monk (questionable - illness) suits up. Over the last nine games, Carter has averaged 5.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. If Carter doesn't play, some more minutes will be available for Markelle Fultz, unless Keon Ellis gets shifted back to the bench.
Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk (illness) may only need to miss one game for an illness after receiving a questionable status for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old has gone from sixth man to an everyday starter this season and has seen sizeable jumps in production with similar efficiency. This year, he's averaging 18.1 points, 5.9 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.2 threes per game. So, if he plays, he's a must-start in most fantasy formats. On the other hand, Keon Ellis would be a solid streaming option if Monk can't play. Against the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, Ellis dropped 20 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
Brooklyn Nets forward Ziaire Williams (hamstring) received a questionable status for the matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The fourth-year wing is experiencing some hamstring tightness which kept him out of their last game on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers. Tyrese Martin took Williams' spot in the starting five against the Pacers and registered nine points, five assists, and four rebounds. Martin is a bit inconsistent as a streaming option, but if Williams can suit up, Martin's value will dip back down. Keon Johnson and Jalen Wilson serve as better options for fantasy managers looking to fill injury voids.
Sacramento Kings center/forward Domantas Sabonis (ankle) is in the midst of a three-game absence which could span to four games on Monday after being listed as questionable for the matchup with the Boston Celtics. The star big man has only appeared in three games in the month of March after missing just three games during the rest of the season. Jonas Valanciunas should remain in the starting five if Sabonis can't play. Over the last three games as a starter, Valanciunas averaged 12.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. If Sabonis does take the court, however, he becomes a must-start again while Valanciunas only holds value in very deep category leagues.
Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell (ankle) has been tagged as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets have been looking forward to the draft lottery rather than the playoffs, so Russell has been on a trend of playing a few games and getting one off for rest. This could be the first time he's missed consecutive games since February. If he's unable to suit up, Keon Johnson and Tyrese Martin should remain in the starting five. In their last game, Johnson posted 17 points, four rebounds, one assist, and three steals across 33 minutes.
Dallas Mavericks guard Brandon Williams (back) is considered probable to play on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. The 25-year-old has been a popular fantasy waiver wire pickup ever since Kyrie Irving (knee) went down with a knee injury. In his last seven games, Williams averages 17.1 points, 4.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 threes across 28.0 minutes per game. His fantasy value may not be as high as it once was, but he should still receive a sizeable chunk of minutes off of the bench since Dante Exum (hand) and Caleb Martin (hip) both remain sidelined.
Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (ankle) is in danger of missing the first game of the week against the Minnesota Timberwolves with an ankle sprain. Over the last nine games, Mathurin has averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 threes per game while shooting 43.4% from the floor and a red-hot 47.1% from deep. He even received a few starts in that span but shifted back to a bench role with Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith back in the lineup. If he can't suit up Monday, look for Obi Toppin, T.J. McConnell, and Ben Sheppard to get some extra minutes off of the bench.
Rockets' C Alperen Sengun recorded a triple-double, finishing with 17 points, 10 assists and 14 rebounds in a 111-116 loss to the Nuggets on Sunday, Mar. 23.
Heat's F Andrew Wiggins scored 42 points on 16-of-21 shooting in a 122-105 win over the Hornets on Sunday, Mar. 23.
Pelicans' G CJ McCollum scored 40 points on 16-of-28 shooting in a 130-136 loss to Detroit on Sunday, Mar. 23.
Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis (Adductor) is listed as doubtful ahead of Monday's game in Brooklyn. AD has appeared in only one game since his trade from Los Angeles to Dallas, amassing 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks during the February 8 matchup with the Houston Rockets. Unfortunately, he re-injured his hip in that one and hasn't been on the floor since. It's possible Davis is back in action at some point in the next week, assuming he isn't cleared to suit up on Monday. Still, fantasy managers may not see him back to 100 percent for a while. If Davis is officially ruled out against the Nets, Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, P.J. Washington, and Spencer Dinwiddie will likely remain more productive than usual.
Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (thumb) is questionable for Monday's meeting with the Pacers. He has a laceration on his right thumb, although it's unknown how severe the Injury is. With the postseason right around the corner, the team may take the cautious approach by keeping him off the floor to avoid further damage. If that's the case, Julius Randle, amassing a team-high 20 points in Friday's win over the Pelicans, should see an uptick in production. Jaden McDaniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Donte DiVincenzo figure to also see more scoring opportunities.
Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (toe) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Lakers. The toe sprain is nothing new, although it most recently kept Anthony off the floor during Orlando's last two games. Cory Joseph got the start once again in Friday's win over the Washington Wizards, finishing the night with 11 points. Anthony Black also stayed more involved than usual, with the 21-year-old amassing 13 points, six assists, and one block. However, he had five turnovers. With that said, it should remain Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero handling most of the work on the offensive end, with both combining for 51 points versus Washington. The duo also collectively averaged a 35.5 usage percentage.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (groin) is listed as probable ahead of Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. James made his return to the court on Saturday after missing the last seven games due to a groin issue. He finished with 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists across 31 minutes of action. The absence of James would mean a higher workload for Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves, and possibly Jarred Vanderbilt.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. Hachimura made his return to the court on Saturday following a 12-game absence due to a left knee injury. He finished with five points, two rebounds, and one steal across 18 minutes of action. The Lakers said they plan to limit Hachimura while they build him back up over the next few games. If active, Hachimura won't be an ideal fantasy option until he's back to full speed. The Lakers would likely use a committee approach to fill the void if Hachimura sits out.
