FYI, I emailed the following to RTSports.  I can't speak to other fantasy players' thoughts on refunds, but I think we all can agree that the settings should be changed for a Pandemic Fantasy Season.  I am going to post on the message boards in my other leagues as well.

If you agree with some or all, feel free to copy/paste and send to RTSports.  If we all contact them, perhaps they will at least make changes to make the season more playable.   Email Address:  support@rtsports.com

RTSports should seriously reconsider their horrendous policy on stealing money out of customers' pockets with this bait and switch policy.  RTSports has ZERO right to keep the entry fees for any fantasy baseball league created prior to Pandemic shutdown.

It is clearly a changed circumstance.  It has taken a 162 game season, 25 weeks of a skill-based competition, and reduced it by 2/3s to a 60 game crapshoot, which is based nearly entirely on LUCK.  You are forcing fantasy players to compete in a league completely out of our control.  At least in a 162 game season you get several months of fun competition, this year it is going to be complete and utter frustration.

I have heard nothing in regards to positive changes being implemented to improve the playability of Big League Roto Leagues.  To me this shows that RTSports is either tone deaf to its customers or just lazy.

Pandemic Big League Weekly ROTO Leagues are an UNPLAYABLE format. A Weekly ROTO League with ONLY FIVE bench spots and ZERO IL spots is an unplayable and unenjoyable format.  If you start with 24 players, it is going to turn into the Game of Survivor.  Whichever team has the fewest players contract the virus, is most likely to win.

Because of so few bench spots and NO IL spots, you will be forced to cut every player who comes down with it in September.  Best case for someone who gets the virus during the first week in September, is a return for the last week of play.

In order for ROTO Leagues to be a playable format.  The following changes would be needed:

    1) Bi-Weekly Lineups and Waiver Wires.  Set lineups on Monday, first pitch of games for Monday through Thursday.  Second lineup period, Friday through Sundays.  This also provides customers much closer to the normal number of waiver periods and lineup locks as a normal season.  We paid for 25 weeks of waivers and lineup locks.

    2) Waivers should run Saturday Nights and Wednesday Nights.  Open Add Drops Sundays at Noon through the first Game on Monday.  Current settings only allow 9 am EST to first pitch on Monday, which often is only a FOUR hour window, which is unfair in normal circumstances. Second open add/drop period from noon on Thursday through first pitch on Friday. That way you always have 24 hours to adjust roster for roster lock.

    3) Add 6 bench players and 4 IL spots.  You should do a supplemental draft, but if not, add three additional bench spots each week (until you add 6) and run waivers every weekend moving forward.  You can just add to your bench during each waiver period.

    4) Position eligibility for players to earn a new position in 2020, should be 7 games instead of 20.

    5) Players dropped in September cannot be locked for the remainder of the season.  This was a putrid policy in normal times and simply cannot happen in a Pandemic Fantasy League.

IF RTSPorts continues to ignore their most loyal customers' concerns, they are not going to have any customers left in 2021.

The 28-year-old southpaw made 46 appearances in 2019 and started 16 of those, sporting a 4.71 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while striking out 9.3 hitters per nine innings. In his five MLB seasons, Strahm has made 151 appearances, with only 24 coming in the form of a start. He can be ignored in the vast majority of fantasy leagues heading into the 2021 season.
