    J.J. Watt Oct 27 10:50pm ET
    J.J. Watt

Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt (shoulder) is now likely to undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder, according to sources. Watt injured his shoulder in the second quarter of the Week 7 win over the Houston Texans but still managed to play the rest of the game. He was ruled out for the Thursday night game against the Green Bay Packers, and it looks like he won't play another down in his first season in Arizona in 2021. The oft-injured five-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro will finish the season with 16 tackles (10 solo), five tackles for loss, 10 QB hits, one forced fumble and one sack in seven games for the Cardinals. The Cardinals defense/special teams has been a top-five fantasy unit through the first seven weeks, but losing Watt the rest of the way is a big blow.

    Jason Pierre-Paul Oct 27 10:20pm ET
    Jason Pierre-Paul

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Richard Sherman (hamstring) and linebacker Lavonte David (ankle) both returned to limited practices on Wednesday, while outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul (finger, shoulder) didn't practice. Getting Sherman back would be excellent news for a depleted secondary as they get ready to face the division-rival New Orleans Saints this Sunday, even if he's no longer in the prime of his illustrious career. Pierre-Paul should be ready to go for the game this weekend. Even with injuries to their secondary, the Buccaneers defense/special teams will be a strong starting fantasy option this weekend against a Saints offense that is averaging just 296.7 total yards per game, which ranks fourth-lowest in the league.

    D'Wayne Eskridge Oct 27 10:10pm ET
    D'Wayne Eskridge

Seattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver Dee Eskridge (concussion) could return to practice this week after going to Florida to visit with specialists regarding a lingering concussion that he suffered in the season opener, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Eskridge was working on "some visual things" related to his concussion, and he can come off Injured Reserve this week to open his 21-day practice window. Carroll also said there are no long-term concerns with the rookie's head injury. If he returns, Eskridge would likely be the No. 4 receiver behind D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Freddie Swain. However, until quarterback Russell Wilson (finger) returns from IR, this offense could remain stuck in neutral with Geno Smith.

    From RotoBaller

Javon Kinlaw Oct 27 10:10pm ET
    Javon Kinlaw

San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee) is currently in Los Angeles being evaluated, and he could need season-ending surgery. The 14th overall pick last year has missed two games with a knee injury that required multiple offseason surgeries after he initially injured it on Dec. 20 last year. Kinlaw has yet to practice in full this year and could miss the rest of the season, depending on the results of his testing in LA. In four games in his second NFL season, Kinlaw has just eight tackles. The 24-year-old missed the season opener and also sat out of the Week 7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night.

    From RotoBaller

Marquise Blair Oct 27 10:00pm ET
    Marquise Blair

Seattle Seahawks safety Marquise Blair (knee) will have season-ending knee surgery after he was injured in the Monday night loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 7, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Blair suffered a fractured right patella (kneecap). It's the second straight year that the third-year player has suffered a season-ending knee injury after he tore the ACL in the same knee in 2020 in the second game of the season. Blair also tore the ACL in his left knee in college in 2017. He had been rotating with Ugo Amadi regularly at the nickel spot, so Amadi will become the full-time nickel with Blair out for the rest of the year.

    From RotoBaller

Devin Smith Oct 27 9:53pm ET
    Devin Smith

Free-agent WR Devin Smith (Jaguars) was signed to the Carolina Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Oct. 27.

    From TheHuddle

Deonte Harris Oct 27 9:50pm ET
    Deonte Harris

New Orleans Saints quarterback Taysom Hill (concussion) and wide receiver Deonte Harris (hamstring) both missed practice on Wednesday. Hill and Harris both missed the Monday night win over the Seattle Seahawks, and Hill has remained in the league's concussion protocol since suffering his head injury in Week 5. It's possible that the Saints traded for running back Mark Ingram II, who can handle short-yardage and goal-line situations, with Hill's injury in mind. Harris has also been out since Week 5 and doesn't look any closer to returning in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Marquez Callaway continued to serve as the Saints top pass-catcher last week, but he had just three receptions on seven targets for 32 yards. In this low-volume passing attack, there's not much upside for Callaway on a weekly basis.

    From RotoBaller

Willie Snead Oct 27 9:50pm ET
    Willie Snead

The Carolina Panthers signed former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Willie Snead IV to their practice squad on Wednesday, according to a source. Snead was released by Las Vegas on Tuesday and quickly finds a home. The Panthers also added former New York Jets second-round receiver Devin Smith to the practice squad on Wednesday. Rookie wideout Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) is in danger of missing another game in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons, but Snead and Smith will just be providing receiving depth behind D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, rookie Shi Smith and Alex Erickson. Snead can continue to be ignored in all fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Ken Crawley Oct 27 9:43pm ET
    Ken Crawley

New Orleans Saints CB Ken Crawley and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Oct. 27.

    From TheHuddle

Tyler Kroft Oct 27 9:40pm ET
    Tyler Kroft

New York Jets running back Tevin Coleman (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday, while tight end Tyler Kroft (back) was limited. Coleman sat out of the Week 7 loss to the New England Patriots, which meant more work for Michael Carter and Ty Johnson in the blowout loss. Even if the 28-year-old Coleman returns to practice later this week and plays in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, he won't be a realistic option for starting fantasy lineups as the third wheel behind Carter and Johnson. Kroft hasn't played since Week 4, but he could be on track to return to the field this weekend. Even with Kroft out, Ryan Griffin has done next to nothing at the position. The Jets tight end position needs to be avoided in fantasy, especially with rookie quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) now out two to four weeks.

    From RotoBaller

Joe Flacco Oct 27 9:40pm ET
    Joe Flacco

New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco, who was acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles this week, is likely to be inactive in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Robert Saleh. As a result, Josh Johnson will be active as the backup to Mike White with rookie first-rounder Zach Wilson (knee) out two to four weeks. The Jets have faith in White to run the offense with Wilson sidelined, but that tune could change quickly if he struggles in his first career start against Cincinnati. The 36-year-old Flacco isn't guaranteed to start with Wilson out, and even if he did, he'd merely be an emergency low-end QB2 for those in superflex leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Juston Burris Oct 27 9:33pm ET
    Juston Burris

Carolina Panthers DB Juston Burris (groin) was designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Oct. 27.

    From TheHuddle

Terrace Marshall Jr. Oct 27 9:10pm ET
    Terrace Marshall Jr.

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) was the only player on the team that didn't practice on Wednesday, other than the players that are still on Injured Reserve. Marshall wasn't cleared from the league's concussion protocol and missed the Week 7 loss to the New York Giants. Rookie Shi Smith and Keith Kirkwood saw some more action as a result, but the pair combined for just 49 offensive snaps behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. With quarterback Sam Darnold (dare we say it?) seeing ghosts in recent weeks and getting benched in the fourth quarter last Sunday, Moore has been the only reliable fantasy pass-catcher in Carolina. And the Atlanta Falcons, the team's Week 8 opponent, have surprisingly been pretty good against opposing receivers the last three weeks.

    From RotoBaller

Carlos Dunlap Oct 27 9:03pm ET
    Carlos Dunlap

Seattle Seahawks OT Duane Brown (non-injury), OG Gabe Jackson (non-injury), OT Brandon Shell (ankle), LB Carlos Dunlap (non-injury) and S Marquise Blair (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 27. OG Damien Lewis (shoulder), CB John Reid (knee), DE Darrell Taylor (neck) and LB Jordyn Brooks (elbow) fully participated in practice.

    From TheHuddle

DeVante Parker Oct 27 9:00pm ET
    DeVante Parker

Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring, shoulder), who has missed the last three games due to injury, was limited in practice on Wednesday. The Dolphins are hoping that Parker can make a return in a Week 8 matchup against the division-rival Buffalo Bills, but it will depend on how much work he can put in the rest of the week. And if Parker returns this weekend against a tough Bills defense, fantasy managers will also be wondering if he'll play his usual allotment of snaps after a three-game absence. As of right now, Parker should be considered a shaky WR4/flex. Rookie Jaylen Waddle remains the safest fantasy receiver among Dolphins receivers, while Mack Hollins and Preston Williams have seen more playing time in recent weeks with Parker sidelined.

    From RotoBaller

Allen Lazard Oct 27 9:00pm ET
    Allen Lazard

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard will be out for Thursday night against the Arizona Cardinals after landing on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. Lazard was deemed a close contact but is unvaccinated and cannot be cleared in time on the short week. Stud wideout Davante Adams tested positive for the virus and also will not travel with the team in Week 8. As a result, expect the Packers to lean heavily on running backs Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, wide receiver Randall Cobb and tight end Robert Tonyan as they look to give the Cardinals their first loss of the season. Wideouts Equanimeous St. Brown and Amari Rodgers should also see an increase in playing time with both Adams and Lazard out.

    From RotoBaller

Alex Collins Oct 27 8:53pm ET
    Alex Collins

Seattle Seahawks RB Alex Collins (groin) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Collins was held to 35 yards in the last game but has received 36 carries over the last two weeks. He will continue to receive most of the work at running back while Chris Carson is sidelined and should be a No. 2 back in fantasy leagues this week.

    From TheHuddle

    Ricky Seals-Jones Oct 27 8:50pm ET
    Ricky Seals-Jones

Washington Football Team tight end Ricky Seals-Jones (quadriceps) is on the Week 8 injury report and managed a limited practice showing on Wednesday. Barring a setback later in the week, Seals-Jones should play in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos and will continue to play heavy snaps in the absence of Logan Thomas (hamstring), who remains on Injured Reserve. The 26-year-old has become a solid streaming tight end for fantasy managers with 15 receptions on 22 targets for 150 yards and a touchdown in the last three games with Thomas injured. Seals-Jones' injury didn't limit him last week, but the Broncos defense hasn't allowed a touchdown to an opposing tight end in the last three weeks.

    From RotoBaller

Dyami Brown Oct 27 8:50pm ET
    Dyami Brown

Washington Football Team wide receivers Curtis Samuel (groin) and Dyami Brown (knee) remained out of practice on Wednesday. Samuel's groin injury has been bothering him since June, and he's played in only two games in his first season in D.C., catching four of his five targets for just 19 yards. If the 25-year-old doesn't make some improvements soon, he could be a candidate to go on Injured Reserve, which would cause him to miss at least another three games. Brown's injury is believed to be minor, but he's not a lock to play in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos. The 21-year-old third-round rookie played only 14% of the offensive snaps last week due to his injury and wasn't targeted at all. Both Samuel and Brown are off the fantasy radar in standard-sized leagues.

    From RotoBaller

Mike Williams Oct 27 8:43pm ET
    Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers WR Mike Williams (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Williams has posted at least 80 yards in four of the six games this season and has six touchdowns on the season. He will see a decent amount of targets this week and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in leagues.
