This can be accomplished through the add/drop players pull down.
Additionally, until 10 pm September 9, 2024, players can be picked up as free agents. The waiver wire will start after that.

Now that the draft is complete, I have added one more Max Position Number to WR and LB. The total is now seven at those positions. I have added one additional roster slot, and one additional injury slot as well.
The Commish
Yeah, Rio, I know. It’s easier picking earlier in the rounds, but for teams that win, we have to make do with what is left.
❤️
I was sitting too close to you. It would have been an elbow to the nose.
Sucks, here's your way, Rio.
Instead of having a waiver wire process, we'll just have every team draft the number of players that they get for the year. That way any injury or benching replacements can resolved through trades with other teams, as the pools will be locked.
There is a waiver wire/free agency process for a reason. It promotes parity for those who may have excessive injury issues, or didn't draft as well. Instead of having all of the viable replacement prospects gobbled up during the draft and held over to basically never play, it is a pool of additional players, available to fill positional needs, and avoiding excessive monopolization of positions by certain teams.
The Commission has spoken, Rio is shivering.
So you think having two reserves for your potential max starting positions is deemed too few (which could be three if you start three RB or 2 TE). That means you would have to lose three players to injury at the same position before you had to go to the waiver wire. The numbers are set to reduce the monopolization of a certain position, just as the keepers are set for the same reason.
Yes, there is a chance to vote — next year. Changes were announced in July. The draft started mid-August — there was ample time to weigh in on the changes pre-draft, but nothing was said.
The numbers are right.

The position maxes were already set where needed. I have increased the number of RB and CB by one each, which is more than adequate to field full rosters and backups.
The Commish
I was expecting to see our position max values go up on both offense and defense with the new Flex rules (and no STs). Is that something we're planning to do?
I will start the draft today at 12 noon Alaska Time. As I am starting early, the time between picks will be 12 hours. The draft will be suspended at 10 pm Alaska time to ensure that anyone not able to pick today has plenty of time to pick tomorrow morning.
The Commish
We are good. I may start the draft late Sunday. But it won't be until late, if I do.

Grubb is still celebrating. The country of Stanford University, finished in 8th place, in the Summer Olympics. That's beyond impressive.
I saw that, too! Just absolutely amazing. I'm very proud. :)
As a reminder, Keepers are due today by 12 pm AKST.

Once Paul is down to his keepers plus Burrow, the only one left is Gary S. He cut his team down, incorrectly; so I think he believes his roster is good. I wrote him a message without response. He needs to have eight players including a rookie with no more than two at a position. His previous cut left him with eight veterans, no rookie.
If someone can reach him, it would be greatly appreciated.

Let's go Grubb!
Whoo!!
Dan,
The Human Rain Delay just on Sunday? Who are you kidding? You're more of a 7/24 kind of guy... maybe we ought to change your team name to the Waling Monsoons...
Rio,
There is a possibility that I will have access on Sunday. If so, we will start then … in the spirit of Compromise.
John
I will be away from a computer next weekend. Additionally, that will be one more weekend of preseason completed before starting the draft to account for any potential injuries. Besides, if it started on Sunday, you’d ask me to start it on Friday.
Patience, Rio. Christmas will be here soon.
The Commish
After watching my first week of preseason games … go J.J. Mac … it looks like the NFL decided to scrap special teams as well. WTF happened to the kickoff.
John,
I appreciate your response, but, truly, you and Thomas are killing me.
Please note, that as Commissioner of the league, I am committed to having all trades instantly approved, and then have the owners police the trades for value-based fairness. Consequently, my concern and passion was not as the commissioner, but as an owner.
As you know, I am always available to give advice and always willing to voice my opinion. What kills me now is that you’ve gone too far the other way and skewed the value in Thomas’ favor. If I was grading your current trade for fairness, Thomas should return your second rounder.
I recommend a second amendment to the trade. But that is only my opinion.
John
John,
Thank you for your concern and passion as the Commissioner for our Football League. After further discussions with the Miner 49ers, an amended trade has been agreed upon.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at your convenience.
One man’s handful of beans is another man’s treasure…
Hands down, the player you take there will outplay Aiyuk this year.
ROFL, Thomas traded away that pick for a handful of beans and all for a player on his favorite team that is going to be traded! Whatever.
John, that trade both astonishes me and makes me super excited!
The other John.
Please note, Keepers are due by 4 pm eastern time on Friday, August 16, 2024. The policy is as normal:
Eight players, as long as one is a rookie from last year.
No more than two players at any position, including the rookie from last year.
At least two players must be on defense.
Additionally, please remember that there is no longer a Special Teams; however, there will be a flex player on offense (RB, WR, or TE) and a flex player on defense (DL, LB, or CB).
The Commish
The proposed changes work for me. I always hated the ST position, anyway. :)
There has been some discussion this year regarding the potential overvaluing of the QB position. After analyzing the scoring, the one adjustment that might make the most sense to slightly devalue the QB points position is to get rid of the combined pass/rush/receive bonus of 1 pt for every 10 yards of passing, rushing, and receiving — after 300 yards — for the QB position. Please weigh-in with your thoughts.
Additionally, this year we are getting rid of the Special Teams position and adding an offensive and defensive flex position. The offensive flex position will be an additional WR, RB or TE, while the defensive flex position will be an additional DL, LB, or CB.
The only team not allowed to have a flex position and will continue having a ST is the Midway Monsters😳
