Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis ran 18 times for 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears and he added two grabs for three yards while losing a fumble.

Fantasy Spin: It wasn't a great week for Davis or the Carolina offense. He'll look to bounce back in Week 7 in New Orleans. His fantasy usefulness might be coming to an end soon, as Christian McCaffrey continues to make progress from a high ankle sprain and could return before the end of the month.

Oct 18 5:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis carried the ball 18 times for 52 yards and a score while hauling in two receptions for just three receiving yards. Davis came out of the gate running well, with eight carries for 40 yards, but it was tough sledding the rest of the way, as the Chicago defense contained him to 12 yards on 10 carries. The veteran back managed to somewhat salvage his fantasy day with a one-yard score, but it was mostly disappointing for his fantasy managers. A tougher matchup in Week 7 awaits, but the volume Davis is seeing should keep him in the RB1 discussion, as long as Christian McCaffrey (ankle) is sidelined.

Oct 15 3:10pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis takes on the Bears in Week 6. It's a mini-revenge game for Davis, who played in seven games for Chicago in 2019. The veteran should have the keys to Carolina's backfield for one more week, considering Christian McCaffrey (ankle) wasn't able to practice Wednesday and is looking doubtful at best. Davis has been excellent, exceeding 20 touches and 90 scrimmage yards in all three contests as the lead back. Fire him up as a high-end RB1 against a Bears Defense that ranks 17th in rush DVOA.

Oct 11 7:53pm ET

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis registered 16 rushes for 89 yards in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons and he added nine catches for 60 yards and a score.

Fantasy Spin: Davis was very Christian McCaffrey-esque in this one, and he is starting to look like a tremendous low-end RB2 or flex fantasy play in PPR formats. He'll look to keep up the good work in Week 6 against the visiting Chicago Bears.

From TheHuddle

Oct 11 6:00pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis finished Week 5 with 16 carries for 89 yards and nine receptions for 60 yards and a score on 10 targets. It was a big day for Davis as he provided great numbers in the rushing and passing game. The RB now has at least 13 carries, five receptions, and six targets in the past three games. He has garnered enough of a workload to make him a fantasy starter going forward until Christian McCaffrey returns.

From RotoBaller

Oct 7 10:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis is a low-end RB1 for Week 5. Davis has filled in well for injured back Christian McCaffrey as he has accumulated value in the rushing and passing game. Last week, the back had 16 carries for 84 yards and five receptions for 27 yards on six targets. In the past two games, Davis has seen at least 13 carries and six targets. The Falcons allow the 11th-most points to fantasy backs, giving Davis great value for this week.

Oct 6 7:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis has vaulted into fantasy consideration in nearly every season-long league due to the injury to Christian McCaffrey (ankle). But following the injury to Reggie Bonnafon (ankle), Davis and Trenton Cannon are slated to be the only two running backs on the teams 53-man roster versus the Falcons on Sunday. Davis played 55 snaps against Arizona last Sunday, getting 21 touches for the second consecutive week. But Atlantas defensive woes, when combined with Carolinas thin backfield, could mean that Davis sees a considerable workload. He is a definite must-start in season-long formats, while holding interest in both cash and GPP contests for DFS.

Oct 4 6:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis enjoyed another great game as the team's lead back. Davis turned 21 touches into 111 scrimmage yards and a score in a big victory over the Arizona Cardinals. He used his muscle at the goal-line to punch in a one-yard score, which got the scoring started for the Panthers. It's the second straight game that Davis has handled at least 21 touches, with the passing game work giving him a safe floor moving forward. He's an RB1/2 as long as Christian McCaffrey is out, with a great matchup coming up against the Falcons.

Oct 1 4:00pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4. Carolina had no qualms about Davis as their lead back, considering he handled 21 touches in his first game as the starter. While it's foolish to count on McCaffrey-like production from Davis, he can certainly deliver strong fantasy numbers with this kind of volume. The Cardinals' defense ranks 20th in fantasy points allowed to halfbacks, so it's a matchup where the 27-year-old can do some damage. Davis may have slightly more value in PPR formats, as the Panthers may be playing catch-up against the Cardinals, lending him more work in the passing game. Still, he can be played as a high-end RB2/low-end RB1 in Week 4 across all formats.

Sep 27 10:20pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis finished the Week 3 win with 13 carries and 46 rushing yards, along with eight receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown on nine targets. Davis proved valuable in both the passing and rushing game and was quite busy in place of the injured Christian McCaffrey. It's worth noting that he led the team in targets and carries. Davis' decent volume should keep him in the flex tier as long as he is the lead back on the team.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 9:23pm ET

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis rushed 13 times for 46 yards in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and he added eight catches for 45 yards and a touchdown on nine targets.

Fantasy Spin: Davis is getting the chance to fill the gigantic shoes of the injured Christian McCaffrey, and he did a decent enough job. He also had eight receptions for the second straight game. Davis is worth a look as a flex fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams, as he'll get a heavy workload in place of CMC. The Panthers host the Cardinals in Week 4.

From TheHuddle

Sep 23 7:00pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis should only be considered a flex piece for this week's matchup against the Chargers. With Christian McCaffrey on injured reserve for the next month or so, the journeyman RB Davis will take lead rusher duties. Right off the bat, he faces a tough matchup as the Chargers have allowed the third-fewest points to opposing RBs to start the season. Davis is only a mere flex play in deeper leagues this week considering he hasn't played much at all in the past couple seasons, making it hard to trust him.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 9:40pm ET

Carolina Panthers running back Mike Davis caught all eight of his targets for 74 receiving yards against Tampa Bay in Week 2. Davis did his best Christian McCaffrey (ankle) impression after the star back left with an ankle injury and was pretty convincing as a receiver out of the backfield. Eight targets is nothing to sneeze at- if McCaffrey's injury is more serious than the team believes, Davis could be a nice waiver wire pickup, particularly in PPR formats.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 6:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis ran once for one yard and he added eight receptions for 74 yards on eight targets, taking over for the injured RB Christian McCaffrey (ankle) late in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

Fantasy Spin: Davis, the former Seahawks tailback, would likely slip into a starting role if CMC's MRI on Tuesday reveals damage which could force him to the sidelines. Stay tuned.

Aug 25 1:13pm ET

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis has shown 'he can run with power and isn't one-dimensional,' according to head coach Matt Rhule. 'To me, he's a guy that you want to get in the game,' Rhule told Myles Simmons of the team's website.

From TheHuddle

Jul 23 10:43pm ET

Carolina Panthers RB Mike Davis 'might have the edge' over Reggie Bonnafon and Jordan Scarlett as the direct backup for Christian McCaffrey, according to ESPN's David Newton.
