New York Jets RB Frank Gore became the oldest running back in NFL history to record at least 20 carries, rushing 21 times for 63 yards in a 31-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2.

Fantasy Spin: With Le'Veon Bell sidelined, Gore assumed a workhorse role. He should remain the lead back while Bell is out, but he only has so much upside in the Jets' struggling offense. At best, he is a volume-based flex option.

Sep 20 8:40pm ET

New York Jets running back Frank Gore was heavily involved in their Week 2 gameplan. The San Francisco 49ers destroyed them, but head coach Adam Gase continued to keep Gore involved in the game. Gore carried the ball 21 times for 63 yards in the loss. It's nice to see Gore getting that many attempts, but the road doesn't get easier against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. Gore could be a desperation flex option for this one, but it's tough to trust anyone on the Jets offense.

From RotoBaller

Sep 18 7:03pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 18, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Fantasy Spin: Gore will be the starting running back while Le'Veon Bell is sidelined but will be facing a tough opponent this week. He could be a flex option in standard leagues but can also be benched if fantasy players have better options available.

From TheHuddle

Sep 18 6:33pm ET

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) did not practice for a second straight day Friday, Sept. 18, and has been ruled out for Week 2 versus the San Francisco 49ers. QB Joe Flacco (neck) was limited in practice all week and has also been ruled out. RB La'Mical Perine (ankle), LB Avery Williamson (hamstring) and LB Tarell Basham (hip) were limited in practice Friday and are listed as questionable. OT Mekhi Becton (knee), LB Frankie Luvu (neck), RB Kalen Ballage (hamstring), TE Daniel Brown (hamstring), OT George Fant (shoulder), OL Alex Lewis (shoulder), RB Frank Gore (rest) and DL Steve McLendon (personal) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

Sep 17 7:33pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Spin: Gore will be taking over the starting running back job with Le'Veon Bell sidelined for a few weeks. He should receive most of the carries in the running game but may only be a flex option in deeper leagues since he probably will not post great numbers.

New York Jets WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring) and RB Frank Gore (rest) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 17. LB Tarell Basham (hip), QB Joe Flacco (neck), RB La'Mical Perine (ankle) and LB Avery Williamson (hamstring) were limited. RB Kalen Ballage (hamstring), OT Mekhi Becton (knee), TE Daniel Brown (hamstring), OL George Fant (shoulder), OL Alex Lewis (shoulder) and LB Frankie Luvu (neck) practiced in full.

Sep 16 10:23pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore will make the start against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 with RB Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) landing on the Reserve/Injured list.

Fantasy Spin: Gore is a little long in the tooth, and he'll be facing a normally stout 49ers defense which was embarrassed by the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 1. He might be worth a look as an RB3 or flex fantasy option in Week 2 if you're already desperate for running back help, but don't get carried away.

From TheHuddle

Sep 16 5:30pm ET

New York Jets running back Frank Gore has been named the starter for their Week 2 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) has been placed on the injured reserve. That means, Gore, Josh Adams, and Kalen Ballage will be tasked with holding together the Jets rushing attack. The 37-year-old back rushed six times for 24 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He'll get another tough matchup against the 49ers Defense. Maybe Gore can be a low-end flex option, but he'll probably only be worth using in deep leagues.

From RotoBaller

Sep 14 12:10am ET

New York Jets running back Frank Gore was given extra touches with the loss of Le'Veon Bell (hamstring) during the first half. Sadly, Gore finished with 24 rushing yards on six attempts in the 27-17 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The 37-year-old running back is starting to look his age, but could see an extended role next week. Bell is likely going to be questionable heading into their Week 2 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. However, Gore won't be a reliable fantasy option even with a few more touches in the backfield.

From RotoBaller

Sep 13 5:43pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore rushed for 24 yards on six carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.

Fantasy Spin: Gore may take over the starting role if Le'Veon Bell is sidelined for an extended period of time, so fantasy players should monitor the situation. He probably will not post outstanding numbers but could still be a flex option in deeper leagues if he receives most of the carries.

Sep 11 4:53pm ET

New York Jets RB La'Mical Perine (ankle), LB Avery Williamson (hamstring) and WR Denzel Mims (hamstrings) did not practice Friday, Sept. 11, and have been ruled out for Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. QB Joe Flacco (neck) was limited in practice all week but has also been ruled out. S Marcus Maye (calf, ankle) was upgraded to a limited practice Friday while OL Alex Lewis (shoulder) was upgraded to a full practice: both players are listed as questionable. LB Tarell Basham (ankle), WR Jamison Crowder (hamstring), WR Breshad Perriman (knee), RB Frank Gore (rest) and DL Nathan Shepherd (rib) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

Sep 10 1:20pm ET

New York Jets running back Frank Gore is always fun to watch play, but might not carry much fantasy value this season. Le'Veon Bell is expected to be the workhorse running back in New York. While Gore is expected to see playing time with the Jets. It probably won't be enough carries to make him worth rostering. His first matchup is against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. A team that does fairly well at stopping the running game. Maybe Gore can be a deep league option, but he should be avoided in most leagues.

From RotoBaller

Sep 10 12:23pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore won't practice on Thursdays as they will be his veteran rest days during the season. He will practice on Wednesdays and Fridays, the team announced Thursday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Spin: Firmly behind Le'Veon Bell as the No. 2, Gore is only a deeper-league bench consideration for fantasy.

From TheHuddle

Aug 29 10:33pm ET

New York Jets RBs Le'Veon Bell and Frank Gore have maintained approximately a 60:40 split throughout training camp, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.

Fantasy Spin: Head coach Adam Gase told ESPN he did a "poor job" managing Bell's snaps early last season and appears to be taking steps to correct that. Bell reportedly hasn't been overly fond of Gase's plan so far, and the back recently went to social media to air out some of his frustration. Fantasy owners would be wise to steer clear of Bell until at least the late fourth round in 12-team leagues as a back who may struggle to approach last year's workload on what figures to be a below-average offense.

From TheHuddle

Aug 27 11:20am ET

New York Jets running back Frank Gore has been around the NFL forever, but the 37-year-old continues to find work in the league and to carve out a role on whatever team he's on. In 2020, Gore will be playing for the New York Jets, and ESPN's Cameron Wolfe has suggested that this backfield -- featuring Gore and Le'Veon Bell -- could be trending toward a split situation. In that scenario, the bulldozing Gore would siphon off some of Bell's goal-line work, which might be enough to knock Bell down to the low-end RB2 territory. As for Gore, his touchdown upside doesn't really negate concerns about his decreasing efficiency and yardage, as he's coming off his worst NFL season by yards and yards per carry. He's a late round option with some flex appeal in deeper leagues.

Aug 25 2:50pm ET

New York Jets veteran running back Frank Gore has been extremely impressive at training camp so far. "The most impressive running back at Jets camp is Frank Gore. I don't think it's really close, either," The Athletic's Connor Hughes said. The 37-year-old continues to defy all expectations as he nears the end of his career. He's obviously no longer a clear lead back and will likely be limited in practices all year to preserve his health, but he should have a role in Adam Gase's offense behind Le'Veon Bell. Rookie Lamical Perine is also in the equation, meaning Gore will likely see just a handful of touches per game in what could be his final season in the NFL.

From RotoBaller

Aug 16 3:33pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore (hamstring) fully participated in practice Sunday, Aug. 16.

Fantasy Spin: Gore should be the No. 2 running back for the Jets and see a handful of carries each game. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues unless Le'Veon Bell suffers an injury.

From TheHuddle

Aug 14 3:23pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Aug. 14, because of a hamstring injury. Head coach Adam Gase said Gore was held out as a precaution.

Fantasy Spin: Gore likely will be the No. 2 running back for the Jets and see a handful of carries each game. He could be a handcuff to Le'Veon Bell in fantasy leagues but probably will not have a big fantasy impact.

From TheHuddle

Jun 9 11:53pm ET

New York Jets RB Frank Gore averaged 4.6 yards per carry on runs in between the guards as a member of the Buffalo Bills in 2019 - tied for the ninth-best mark among all players with at least 100 total carries.
