Player Notes
Oct 19 11:00am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman continues to struggle with three straight dud performances. In Week 6, Edelman caught two of his six targets for eight yards in the loss to the Denver Broncos. He now has seven total receptions over the last three games combined. Quarterback Cam Newton struggled to move the ball on offense and Edelman's value continues to fall. He'll be a low-end WR3 against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.

From RotoBaller

Oct 18 5:23pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman caught two passes for eight yards on six targets against the Denver Broncos in Week 6. He also completed two passes for 38 yards during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman received the second most targets on the team but did not have a great connection with Cam Newton. He should have a better outing next week and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 fantasy receiver.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 12:03pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) is active for Week 6's game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating on a limited basis in practice throughout the week. He can be used as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 in fantasy leagues this afternoon.

From TheHuddle

Oct 18 11:40am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. Edelman will serve as the primary receiving option for quarterback Cam Newton and should be considered a solid WR3 play against the Broncos Defense, which has surrendered some good performances to opposing slot receivers this season.

From RotoBaller

Oct 17 7:20pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has a total of five receptions over the last two games. It has been a struggle for Edelman to get any momentum going recently, but that will hopefully change in Week 6. The Pats believe veteran quarterback Cam Newton should be able to play against the Denver Broncos. That should give a boost to Edelman's value in this one. Denver has struggled to slow down the passing attack this season. They allowed Jamison Crowder to reach over 100 yards during their last game. Fantasy owners should be able to trust Edelman as a WR3 for Week 6.

Oct 16 4:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for Week 6. The Patriots did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman continues to be on the injury report but will be able to play in the Week 6 game. He is a bit of a risky option since it is not known if the game will be played on time, but he can be a No. 2 or No. 3 fantasy receiver if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 4:33pm ET

New England Patriots DL Adam Butler (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee), OL Shaq Mason (calf) and OT Isaiah Wynn (calf) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (non-injury) and OL Jermaine Eluemunor (non-injury) were not given practice designations Friday, Oct. 16, but are expected to be active.

From TheHuddle

Oct 16 12:00am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (knee) got in a limited practice on Thursday. Edelman is usually on the team's practice report and gets in limited practices before being active on game day. He'll be facing a Broncos Defense without most of their big-time playmakers this Sunday. Denver also allows the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. The 34-year-old caught just three of six targets for 35 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Chiefs with quarterback Cam Newton sitting out. The good news is that Newton will be back on Sunday, and Edelman leads the team with 31 targets, although he's caught just 18 of those. He's one of three receivers with 30-plus targets and no touchdowns, but that could change in Week 6. Edelman will be a WR3/flex option.

Oct 15 5:43pm ET

New England Patriots DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 15. OT Isaiah Wynn (calf), OL Shaq Mason (calf), WR Julian Edelman (calf) and DL Adam Butler (shoulder) were limited. OLs Jermaine Eluemunor (non-injury) and OL James Ferentz (non-injury) were not given a practice designation.

From TheHuddle

Oct 15 5:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 15.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman will be able to play this week despite being on the injury report and should see a boost in his value with Cam Newton expected to return. He can be considered a No. 2 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 14 5:03pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman will be able to play this week despite the injury and will continue to be the main target in the passing game. He can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 10 5:23pm ET

New England Patriots DL Adam Butler, (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee), OL Shaq Mason (calf) and OT Isaiah Wynn (calf) were limited in practice Saturday, Oct. 10. S Devin McCourty (not injury related) did not practice, and all of the players are questionable for Week 5.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 5:13pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 9. The Patriots did not hold a practice Friday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman has been on the injury report for most of the season but has not missed any games. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if he is able to play.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 4:23pm ET

New England Patriots DL Adam Butler (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee), OL Shaq Mason (calf) and OL Isaiah Wynn (calf) were limited in practice for a second straight day Friday, Oct. 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 9 1:00pm ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman posted a huge performance in Week 2, but has disappeared since then. Last week, Edelman hauled in three of his six targets for 35 yards in the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He'll get a more favorable matchup in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos. A team that allowed Jamison Crowder to finish with over 100 receiving yards against them. Sadly, Edelman will probably have a low ceiling in fantasy leagues until Cam Newton returns. Both Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham looked horrendous under center last week. Hopefully Edelman can carve out WR3 value against Denver.

From RotoBaller

Oct 8 6:23pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 8. The Patriots did not hold a practice Thursday, so this is an estimation.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman is on track to play in the Week 5 game even though he continues to be listed as limited. Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation because the Patriots' game may be moved back or postponed. Edelman can be at least a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues if the game is played on time.

From TheHuddle

Oct 8 6:13pm ET

New England Patriots DL Adam Butler (shoulder), WR Julian Edelman (knee), OL Shaq Mason (calf) and OL Isaiah Wynn (calf) were limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 8.

From TheHuddle

Oct 7 6:33pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (knee) was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Oct. 7. The report was a projection because the team didn't actually practice.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman has just one 100-yard game and no touchdowns through four games. Like all receivers for the Patriots, his value is tied to the availability of QB Cam Newton, but he's a low-floor WR3 at best in standard leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 6 2:00am ET

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had a tough time getting anything going versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. He hauled in three of his six targets for 35 yards in the loss. The 34-year-old receiver has struggled each of the last two weeks, but this one wasn't all his fault. Edelman was stuck with Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham throwing him the football. Going forward, Edelman will have a low-ceiling in fantasy leagues until Cam Newton returns.

From RotoBaller

Oct 5 10:43pm ET

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman caught three passes for 35 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. He was targeted six times during the game.

Fantasy Spin: Edelman did not have much success with Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham under center this week. He should continue to be a focal point in the passing game moving forward but may only be a No. 3 receiver or flex option in leagues until Cam Newton returns.
