Kansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams rushed six times for 26 yards and a touchdown on Monday against the Buffalo Bills. Williams also snagged one reception for 15 yards. The Chiefs ran the ball 46 times and part of that could be because of the bad forecast throughout the game. Despite the nice night, Williams is likely to be demoted to the third running back on the roster with the recent addition of LeVeon Bell. Williams should be avoided in all formats and should only have value if Clyde Edwards-Helaire or Bell were to get hurt.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins (concussion, neck) is questionable for Week 3 against the Ravens while running back Darrel Williams (ankle) will suit up. Watkins was able to practice in full on Saturday after getting in a limited session on Friday, so he's heading in the right direction. The veteran receiver is a risky start against Baltimore's tough secondary, considering he registered just one catch in Week 2 after posting a 7-82-1 line in Week 1. Williams will likely take a backseat to rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire and won't have much fantasy value in Week 3.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams was the clear backup to Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Thursday night versus the Houston Texans. Williams rushed seven times for 23 yards and also picked up a pair of receptions for seven yards. Williams got most of his action third downs. With the way Edwards-Helaire performed on Thursday, it's hard to see Williams have much value at the moment. With that said, Williams is one of the strongest insurance policies and if Edwards-Helaire were to struggle or go down, Williams would have immediate value.

Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said that the team has a lot of trust in backup running back Darrel Williams. Hes one of those guys that hes been here for such a long time and theres a lot of trust in regards to his ability in all phases of the game running and blocking, in particular, pass pro too, Veach said. Williams is listed as the No. 2 to rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but he should have a role early on, especially in pass protection, where the Chiefs may not fully trust the rookie. The 25-year-old was worth a flier late in PPR leagues, and he's also worth a waiver pickup where he went undrafted. He's in play as a DFS sleeper in Week 1 against the Texans and should be considered a deep sleeper as a flex play in season-long leagues.

Aug 25 2:20pm ET

Kansas City Chiefs running back Darrel Williams is the clear No. 2 running back behind rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire after two weeks of practices. Damien Williams' decision to opt out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 has elevated Darrel Williams' fantasy stock considerably. Edwards-Helaire should see the lion's share of backfield work in this explosive offense, making him a high-end RB1 in his rookie season, but Williams is now worthy of a late-round target in fantasy leagues, at least as a handcuff to CEH if you select him in the first round.
