Player Notes
Nov 22 3:53pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) suffered an ankle injury during the Week 11 game and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Smith will miss any more time. He is usually a starting option most weeks when healthy.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 3:50pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith (knee) has returned to Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Smith injured his knee late in the third quarter and was deemed questionable to return. He eventually made his return midway through the fourth quarter of what's been a tight game between the Titans and Ravens. Smith has had a solid game, catching a touchdown pass in the first quarter.

Nov 22 3:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith (leg) limped off the field on his own power late in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. He went to the sidelines where the trainers began looking at his lower leg. He should be considered questionable to return in what's been a tight game between two of the AFC's top teams. Smith had four catches for 20 yards and a touchdown on six targets before the injury.

From RotoBaller

Nov 17 6:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith added a rushing touchdown to his resume last week, and while Tennessee's top tight end hasn't caught more than two passes in any of his last five games, Smith's nose for the end zone could prove critical in a Week 11 matchup with a Ravens team that has allowed as many receiving touchdowns to tight ends (four) as wide receivers. The Ravens are stingy against opposing wideouts so Smith may be called upon more-so in the passing attack in Week 11. He's a low-end TE1 in this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 13 5:10am ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith brought in two of six targets for 14 yards and scored a one-yard touchdown on his only rush attempt in the Titans' 34-17 loss to the Colts on Thursday night. The speedy tight end couldn't do much in terms of receiving on a night when Ryan Tannehill threw for just 147 yards, but his first career rushing score in the second quarter helped salvage his fantasy night to an extent. Smith pass-catching production continues to be hard to trust on a week-to-week basis, however, as he's now recorded no more than two receptions or 32 receiving yards in five consecutive games after posting an 18-221-5 line over his four contests of the campaign. He'll look to bounce back to that caliber of numbers in a Week 11 battle against the Ravens.

From RotoBaller

Nov 13 2:53am ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith caught two passes for 14 yards and added a one-yard touchdown run against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.

Fantasy Spin: Smith matched Corey Davis for the team lead in targets with six, though he caught just two of them. His touchdown came on a nifty piece of misdirection near the goal line to give him seven on the season; five of those came in the first four weeks, though, and Smith hasn't topped 40 yards receiving since Week 3, making him a very touchdown-dependent choice at TE1.

From TheHuddle

Nov 11 1:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith scored his sixth touchdown of the season last week, but the Titans' top tight end hasn't caught more than two passes in any of his last four games heading into a Week 10 matchup with a Colts Defense that's the only one yet to allow a touchdown to the position. If you have other options at TE, it would be advisable to use them. Smith has a horrible matchup and has not been seeing the volume to trust him in this one.

From RotoBaller

Nov 8 6:33pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith caught two passes for 32 yards and one touchdown against the Chicago Bears in Week 9.

Fantasy Spin: Smith is on a bit of a cold streak since has been held to under 40 yards in each of the last four games. He does have six touchdowns on the season and should see a handful of targets next week. He can be considered a low-end No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 1 10:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith caught two passes for 29 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Those were Smith's only two targets. After a strong start to the season with five touchdowns in the first four games, Smith now had four total catches in the past three games. Smith is looking less and less like a fantasy TE1 with each passing week.

From RotoBaller

Nov 1 7:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith posted two receptions for 29 yards on two targets in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Spin: Smith was outperformed by Anthony Firkser by a slight margin, and the latter has essentially moved into a 50-50 split for the tight end targets in Nashville. Smith's fantasy value has taken a hit, and he might not be 100 percent healthy, either. Bump him way down to the low-TE2 fantasy area until he can start to perform a little more consistently. The Titans host the Bears in Week 9.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 9:43pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith ended up with one catch for nine yards on four targets in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Smith left last week's game due to an ankle injury, and while he wasn't on the injury report this week, he was clearly not the same. He is a risky fantasy play heading into Week 8 in Cincinnati based on this shaky performance.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 5:53pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Smith is coming off a disappointing Week 6 performance but is averaging nearly six targets per game in 2020. He should receive a similar workload this week and can be a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 5:00pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith is not on the team's injury report for their Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Smith suffered an ankle injury in Week 6 and there was speculation that his status for Week 7 was in jeopardy. Luckily, he's been able to recover quickly. Smith caught five passes four 40 yards and two touchdowns in the last game he completed, Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills. He's a fantastic TE1 option in Week 7 as an integral part to an offense that's been clicking all year.

Tennessee Titans DE Jadeveon Clowney (knee), TE MyCole Pruitt (illness), OT Isaiah Wilson (illness), DL DaQuan Jones (foot), OT Dennis Kelly (knee), TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) and WR A.J. Brown (knee) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 23, and have been removed from the injury report for Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

From TheHuddle

Oct 22 4:33pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 22.

Fantasy Spin: Smith has become a big part of the passing game for the Titans this season and should see a handful of targets against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He can be considered a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 22 4:03pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown (knee) and OT Isaiah Wilson (illness) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 22. DE Jadeveon Clowney (knee), TE MyCole Pruitt (illness), DL DaQuan Jones (foot), OT Dennis Kelly (knee) and TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Oct 21 5:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith is averaging less than six yards per red-zone catch this year, but he's scored on all five of his red-zone catches (six targets) inside the 10-yard line. Smith has hooked up with quarterback Ryan Tannehill twice for 11 yards and two touchdowns on crossing routes in the red zone, which is tied for the most such touchdowns in the league. The 25-year-old ranks third in fantasy points at his position through six weeks, but he suffered a minor ankle injury in last week's overtime win over the Texans and is questionable for Sunday against the division-rival Steelers. If Smith plays through his injury, fantasy managers may want to temper expectations a bit against a Steelers Defense that is allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends.

From RotoBaller

Oct 21 5:13pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 21.

Fantasy Spin: Smith is coming off his worst game of the season and has only 53 yards in the last two games. He still has five touchdowns on the season and can be a No. 1 tight end in fantasy leagues despite the tough matchup.

From TheHuddle

Oct 19 1:00pm ET

Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith (ankle) is dealing with a "minor" ankle sprain and is expected to be questionable for Week 7 against the Steelers, according to a source. The Titans are going to need all of their offensive weapons in a battle of undefeated squads next Sunday, so Smith's practice status this week will be one to watch closely. Smith left the game in the third quarter in Week 6 and didn't return, which doesn't bode well for his status moving forward. He had just one 13-yard catch before leaving, but he's been a strong TE1 so far this season. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill will already be a QB to fade against Pittsburgh, especially if he's without Smith this weekend. Anthony Firkser and Geoff Swaim are next up on the depth chart if Smith is forced to sit out.

From RotoBaller

Oct 19 12:53pm ET

Tennessee Titans TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) has a minor ankle sprain that will likely make him questionable for next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Smith is third among tight ends in fantasy points, and the hope is with rest and practice maintenance he'll be able to go. Keep tabs on him this week.
