Player Notes
Nov 27 5:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans faces a Chiefs Defense that has been stingy to opposing wideouts. The Chiefs have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position, though there's a good chance this game turns into a battle between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. If that happens, Evans would surely be one of the beneficiaries. Over the last four games, he's averaging 8.3 targets and 61.3 receiving yards- he has three touchdowns in that span. He has remained a steady producer despite the addition of Antonio Brown to the offense. Keep Evans in the lineup as an upside WR2 despite the seemingly tough matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 24 1:03am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans registered five receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Spin: Evans has scored in back-to-back games for the first time since opening the season with six touchdowns in a five-game scoring streak from Week 1 through 5. He has jelled nicely with Tom Brady and remains a solid WR2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

From TheHuddle

Nov 23 11:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans finished with five receptions for 49 yards and a score on nine targets in Monday's loss to the Rams. Evans continues to remain a big part of this offense and though his yardage doesn't always reflect that, he has seen at least six targets and gotten three touchdowns in the past four games. The WR should be considered in the low-end WR1/high-end WR2 tier each week going forward.

From RotoBaller

Nov 20 10:10pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is a WR2 this week against the Rams. Evans has been rather inconsistent this season but has now gotten at least four receptions, six targets, and 55 yards in the past three games. The Rams allow the fewest fantasy points to wideouts, so Evans' value should be considered lower for this matchup.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 6:30pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans caught six of 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in a 46-23 victory over Carolina. Evans is perhaps Tom Brady's most-trusted option in the red zone, as he hauled in yet another score from inside the 20. Best of all, he has 17 targets over the last two weeks, highest out of the three Buccaneers' receivers. Evans should hover around WR2 territory thanks to his red-zone role, though there could be upside for more if he continues to be targeted like this. He'll look to make it four straight games with at least 50 receiving yards next week against the Rams.

From RotoBaller

Nov 15 5:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans registered six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 11 targets in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Spin: Evans has scored in two of the past three games, and his yardage total was the highest since his season-best 122-yard performance in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He remains a solid WR2 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams.

From TheHuddle

Nov 14 11:13pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans faces the Carolina Panthers in Week 10, and Evans finished with seven catches on 10 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown against Carolina in Week 2.

Fantasy Spin: The first meeting with the Panthers resulted in one of Evans' best games of the season, but he heads into the rematch with just one touchdown in the last four games and hasn't reached 70 receiving yards since Week 4. He's a WR3, albeit with plenty of upside.

From TheHuddle

Nov 13 7:00pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans gets a tricky matchup in Week 10 against the Panthers. While Evans has been held under 50 receiving yards in just over half his games this year, he's eclipsed the mark in each of the last two contests with one touchdown scored. Having Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown in the lineup certainly complicates things, though Evans' seven scores show he has a nose for the end zone in 2020. That alone makes him worth starting in Week 10, though fantasy managers should be aware of how low the floor potentially is if he doesn't score.

From RotoBaller

Nov 11 5:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers coach Kevin Garver isn't exactly worried about wide receiver Mike Evans' lack of targets this year, explaining that the offense is run by a quarterback (future Hall of Famer Tom Brady) who spreads the wealth. The Bucs receiving corps ranks among the top 10 in the NFL, but Evans (34 catches on 52 targets) hasn't been as productive as his fantasy managers had hoped with Brady under center. Tight end Rob Gronkowski has seen the highest target rate at 22.3 percent of the team's pass-catchers with at least 150 routes run, per Next Gen Stats. Evans is seeing the lowest target rate among the team's pass-catchers at just 16 percent, even trailing Scotty Miller. Evans' rate is the 12th-lowest in the entire NFL. He has six touchdowns on nine red-zone targets this year, showing that Brady prefers to throw to his No. 1 receiver down near the goal line. Evans' target share might become more unpredictable with Antonio Brown now in the fold, making him more of a low-end, touchdown-dependent WR2 heading into Week 10 against Carolina. Evans did have seven catches (10 targets) for 104 yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Panthers, leaving fantasy managers with some hope.

From RotoBaller

Nov 9 2:03am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans caught four passes (on six targets) for 64 yards against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Spin: Incredibly, Evans' modest 64-yard performance was his highest output since Week 4. His red-zone exploits kept him afloat early, but Evans has now scored just once in four games. As strange as it may sound, Evans may be no better than a low-floor, high-ceiling WR3.

From TheHuddle

Nov 8 11:30pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans finished Week 9 with four receptions for 64 yards on six targets. Despite the Bucs struggling the entire game, Evans paced the team in yards and had a decent outing. The WR now has over 50 yards in the past two games and will look to build some consistency going forward.

From RotoBaller

Nov 6 11:20pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is a WR2 this week versus the Saints. Evans has had an inconsistent campaign this year and has eclipsed 100 yards in two of eight games. He had a decent week last week against the Giants (5/55/1) and has a chance to build on that performance in what could be a shootout game against a Saints team allowing the fifth-most points to fantasy WRs.

From RotoBaller

Nov 3 12:30am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans hauled in five of seven targets for 55 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Giants. It was a quiet start, but Evans came up big late in the game for the Buccaneers, beating James Bradberry in the end zone for a diving grab. The star wideout has seven touchdowns already- one shy of his total from the last two seasons- as it's clear that Tom Brady trusts him in the red zone. That role alone makes Evans worth keeping in lineups, even if the yardage totals leave much to be desired at times. Up next is a matchup with the Saints, who surrendered a touchdown reception to Evans back in Week 1.

From RotoBaller

Nov 2 11:53pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans posted five receptions for a team-high 55 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the Week 8 game against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Spin: Evans jelled immediately with new QB Tom Brady, posting six touchdowns across the first five games, but they failed to connect for a score in the past two. Hopefully this will get Evans back on track for his fantasy owners. He scored a two-yard touchdown in New Orleans in Week 1, his only grab of that game. The Bucs host the Saints in Week 9 on Sunday Night Football.

From TheHuddle

Oct 31 12:50pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans should see an increased target share without teammate Chris Godwin (finger) in Week 8. Evans has averaged nine targets per game in three starts without a healthy Godwin and has delivered WR2 numbers or better in all three of those contests. The matchup will be tough this week- he'll go up against a familiar foe in James Bradberry, who has been playing phenomenal football for New York. Still, Evans will get plenty of looks from Brady and has a good chance of finding the end zone in Week 8. Start him as a high-end WR2 this week who could very well finish among the top-12 at his position.

From RotoBaller

Oct 27 11:13am ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (ankle) was asked by head coach Bruce Arians what health percentage he was at before the Week 7 game, and Evans said 80 percent.

Fantasy Spin: It shows. Evans is only receiving about 5.5 targets per game, whereas he has been between 8-9 targets per game the last two years. He's unfortunately probably not going to be the 80-catch, 1,200-yard receiver you hoped for, but his six touchdowns are a great start after he had five, eight and eight the last three years. He's a top-notch WR2.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 11:03pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans caught both of his targets for 37 yards in a 45-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: A lingering ankle injury likely isn't helping matters, but Evans has been a touchdown-dependent option most of the year. Throw in the addition of Antonio Brown, and his days as a must-start WR1 seem to be numbered.

From TheHuddle

Oct 25 9:40pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans had a quiet day in Week 7, grabbing two receptions for 37 yards on two targets. It was certainly a disappointing day for Evans considering several of his teammates had a terrific game. With many mouths to feed on this offense, days like this are bound to happen and the addition of Antonio Brown will only saturate this unit more. Nevertheless, Evans is a top target for Tom Brady and remains in the starting conversation each week given his potential.

From RotoBaller

Oct 23 7:13pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 7.

Fantasy Spin: Evans is the top option in the passing game when healthy and should see plenty of targets this week. He can be a No. 1 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 23 4:23pm ET

Tampa Bay Buccaneers S Andrew Adams (hamstring) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 7 versus the Las Vegas Raiders. LB Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) and DL Ndamukong Suh (non-injury) did not participate in practice Friday but have been removed from the injury report. WR Chris Godwin (hamstring), WR Scott Miller (hip, groin) and S Antoine Winfield Jr. (shoulder) were limited in practice all week but also no longer appear on the injury report. CB Carlton Davis (knee) was limited in practice for a second straight day Friday but is also expected to play. QB Tom Brady (non-injury) LB Lavonte David (knee), WR Mike Evans (ankle), RB Leonard Fournette (ankle), DL William Gholston (bicep) and TE Rob Gronkowski (shoulder) practiced in full Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.
