Nov 26 6:33pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 26.

Fantasy Spin: Darnold appears to be on track to return to the starting lineup in Week 12. He will be facing a tough Miami Dolphins defense and can be avoided in standard leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 26 5:53pm ET

New York Jets OT George Fant (knee, ankle), LB Patrick Onwuasor (hamstring) and RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 26. LB Blake Cashman (hamstrings), OT Chuma Edoga (ankle) and WR Breshad Perriman (shoulder) were limited. QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) and TE Chris Herndon (back) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Nov 26 3:40pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday, which is a sign he's heading toward a return in Week 12 against the Dolphins. Darnold was limited on Wednesday and appears to be on track to play on Sunday after missing the team's last two games in Weeks 9 and 11. The 23-year-old could be a bit more intriguing as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues now that wide receivers Breshad Perriman, Jamison Crowder and rookie Denzel Mims are all healthy, and Miami's defense also allows the 10th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. Veteran Joe Flacco gave the winless Jets a chance in the last two games as the starter, but he'll go back to holding the clipboard for Darnold if he plays. Crowder will have more upside if Darnold returns, too.

From RotoBaller

Nov 25 7:20pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) was expected to be a limited practice participant on Wednesday in his return, with head coach Adam Gase saying Darnold will do "quite a bit." Darnold has missed the last two games with a right shoulder injury, but his return to practice bodes well for his chances of making a return this weekend against the division-rival Dolphins. The Jets would love to see what he can do with wide receivers Breshad Perriman, Jamison Crowder and rookie Denzel Mims all finally healthy, but Darnold remains questionable for Week 12 for now. Veteran Joe Flacco actually hasn't been terrible in losses to the Patriots and the Chargers, but Darnold will be the starter when healthy. If Darnold returns this week, he'll be a low-end QB2 for desperate fantasy managers.

Nov 25 5:43pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Darnold appears to have a good chance to play in Week 12, but fantasy players will know more later in the week. He will be facing a tough Miami Dolphins defense if he plays and can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 23 7:40pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) continues to work his way back from a shoulder injury, with the expectation that he can return to practice Wednesday. Darnold has expressed some optimism that his shoulder has improved with the time off, although how aggressive the Jets will be in rushing their young QB onto the field remains to be seen. Joe Flacco has filled in for Darnold, leading the offense to 27 and 28-point performances, respectively, in the past two weeks with the team's full allotment of wide receivers at his disposal. Even when healthy in 2020, Darnold has done little to inspire confidence in fantasy managers, making the Jets quarterback room an avoidable conundrum heading into Week 12 no matter who eventually gets tabbed to make the start.

From RotoBaller

Nov 23 7:23pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) hopefully will be able to participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 25, according to head coach Adam Gase. Gase said the team will determine Darnold's status for Week 12 based on how he performs during practice.

Fantasy Spin: Darnold has been sidelined for the last few weeks but appears to have a chance to play in Week 12. He will have a tough matchup if he is cleared to play and can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 2:53pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) has been declared inactive for the Week 11 game.

Fantasy Spin: There is no timetable for Darnold's return, so Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 22 2:43pm ET

The New York Jets have declared OT Cameron Clark, QB Sam Darnold, LB Blake Cashman, PK Sergio Castillo and QB James Morgan inactive for Week 11.

From TheHuddle

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) did not participate in Friday, Nov. 20, and is listed as doubtful for Week 11.

Fantasy Spin: There is no timetable for Darnold's return, so Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback for the time being. Flacco should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 20 5:33pm ET

New York Jets LB Blake Cashman (hamstrings) and QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) did not practice all week and are listed as doubtful for Week 11 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. PK Sam Ficken (groin) and CB Blessuan Austin (neck) were limited in practice Friday, Nov. 20, and are listed as questionable. DL Henry Anderson (knee, ankle), WR Breshad Perriman (shoulder), WR Vyncint Smith (groin), DL Quinnen Williams (hamstring), OT Mekhi Becton (chest), LB Patrick Onwuasor (hamstring) and RB Frank Gore (non-injury) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Nov 16 7:43pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) said he believes he will be able to play again this season but wants to make sure he is fully healthy before he returns.

Fantasy Spin: Darnold should be considered week-to-week at this point, so Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback for the foreseeable future. He can be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 16 5:10pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) will miss the Week 11 game against the Chargers, according to head coach Adam Gase. In his place, Joe Flacco will make his fourth start of the season. The veteran signal-caller has gone 59-for-104 for 659 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in four games (three starts) for Gang Green this year and has arguably played better than Darnold. There's a good chance that Darnold will be ready in Week 12, but fantasy managers have seen no evidence to treat him as anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues in 2020. The 23-year-old first-round pick hasn't played since Week 8. Similarly, Flacco is a desperation QB2 play despite almost leading the Jets to their first win in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Nov 16 3:23pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 11 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Joe Flacco will draw another start in his absence.

Fantasy Spin: Flacco enjoyed one of his finer games in recent memory in the Jets' last game back in Week 9 against the New England Patriots and will be facing a more forgiving opponent in this one. With that said, Flacco only warrants consideration in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 12 3:03am ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) said that shoulder surgery was 'not on the table,' according to ESPN's Rich Cimini, who noted that Darnold had spoken to multiple doctors and none recommended surgery.

Fantasy Spin: Darnold is likely to return in Week 11 following the team's bye, but he's endured a miserable statistical season and shouldn't even be owned in most single-year leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 10 2:23pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) told reporters he is 'feeling better' and focused on being able to play in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers following the team's upcoming bye.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 7:13pm ET

New York Jets QB Sam Darnold (shoulder) has been declared inactive for the Week 9 game.

Fantasy Spin: Joe Flacco will be the starting quarterback for the Jets but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Nov 9 7:10pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) and defensive end Quinnen Williams (hamstring) have both officially been ruled out for Monday's game against New England. Darnold's injury woes mean that Joe Flacco will once again get the start under center, but with the Jets' offense not having been run particularly smooth with the veteran at the helm, it remains to be seen how long his leash is. The absence of Williams, who has made 31 tackles -- seven of which came for a loss -- this season, makes the Jets Defense an even more avoidable commodity than they previously were. Both players will look to benefit from New York having its bye week in Week 10, with their respective next opportunities to return coming Week 11 against the Chargers.
