2024 RTSports Outlook

Williams had a huge preseason last year and looked like a player that could play a big role in the Rams offense as a rookie. He was hurt in Week 1, though, which derailed his rookie season. He suffered a high ankle sprain and didn't return until Week 10. Williams did not do much after returning to the lineup. He had 215 total yards in 10 games. The Rams still like what Williams brings to the table. He could be the top backup for the team this year. Williams can be a solid third-down back. He catches the ball well and can make big plays with the ball in his hands. He lacks a little explosiveness, though, and is smaller size is a bit of a concern in the NFL.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: The Rams will rotate backs, so Williams could get some work. He might be worth a shot in deeper formats. But outside of those leagues, Williams is probably a reach. He might get 500 total yards.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (hand) had successful surgery on Tuesday to fix a broken bone in his hand, according to head coach Sean McVay. Williams broke a bone in his hand in Sunday night's one-point wild-card loss to the Detroit Lions, but he'll have plenty of time to heal up before the start of the 2024 regular season. The 23-year-old moved into a starting role in LA's backfield in Week 2 of the 2023 campaign after the Rams traded Cam Akers away. Williams had a career year, carrying the ball 228 times for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns while also logging 32 receptions (48 targets) for 206 yards and three more scores in just 12 regular-season games played. He could have more competition for touches in 2024 in the Rams' backfield, but Williams should remain the lead back, which will give him at least high-end RB2 upside in fantasy drafts.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams was not very productive in the team's 24-23 wildcard loss to the Detroit Lions. Williams rushed the ball 13 times for 61 yards on the ground while catching his lone target for nine yards. This workload was surprising considering he has had at least 20 touches in seven straight games before this one. Williams took over the three-down role early on in the season and has not looked back. Assuming the team does not add any significant backs in the offseason, the 23-year-old should be considered in the first two rounds of fantasy drafts next season.

Jan 14 4:50am ET

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams was one of the most consistent and dominant players throughout the regular season. Despite missing five games this season, Williams finished top-three in rush yards and top-five in rushing touchdowns among all RBs. He has proven to be an every-down back and crucial part of the Rams offense. The 23-year-old has scored eight touchdowns in the last six games, being a huge reason for the team's late-season playoff push. Williams should be heavily considered in all DFS lineups and will be a problem for the Detroit Lions, regardless of their stout run defense.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams will not play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Despite the fact that the Rams could fall to the No. 7 seed in the NFC with a loss this weekend, they will rest key starters Williams, quarterback Matthew Stafford, receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive star Aaron Donald. The 23-year-old Williams was one of the most productive early-season waiver-wire additions of the 2023 campaign. The second-year back finishes the regular season with 228 carries for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 32 catches for 206 yards and three TDs in 12 games played. With Williams resting on the sideline this Sunday, Royce Freeman, Ronnie Rivers and rookie Zach Evans figure to split the Rams' backfield.

Rams' RB Kyren Williams scored an astounding 30.10 fantasy points in Sunday's Week 17 win in New York Giants. Williams ran for 87 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards with three touchdowns. It's the 5th time this season Williams scored at least 25 fantasy points in a game.

Dec 31 8:13pm ET

Dynasty | Rams running back Kyren Williams scored three touchdowns while posting 87 rushing yards, two catches and 14 receiving yards in a win against the Giants. Dynasty Analysis: And just like that, Williams staked his claim as being the biggest steal of the draft with today's championship-level performance. He's been the latest fantasy monster from Los Angeles as he's posted 1,144 rushing yards, 32 catches, 206 receiving yards and a whopping 15 touchdowns in just 12 games this season. Williams is going to be a very interesting player to rank this off-season as it seems he's a clear RB1 should LA fail to address the position in the next few months. If you bought him on the cheap this year, congrats on a likely dynasty league title.

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams continued his incredible play in the team's Week 17 win against the New York Giants. Williams rushed the ball 20 times for 87 yards and found his way into the endzone three times on the ground. He also caught both of his targets for 14 yards through the air. The second-year back has been the clear-cut fantasy RB2 behind only Christian McCaffrey this season. Williams is second in rushing yards and now has 12 rushing touchdowns despite missing four complete games earlier in the year. He should once again be considered a must-start high-end RB1 in a tough Week 18 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

However, Williams has been elite when healthy, exceeding 20 fantasy points (PPR) in 60 percent of his games. In fact, over his last four weeks, he's averaging 146 scrimmage yards and one touchdown per game. The 23-year-old has emerged as a weekly RB1 option, and it's even fair to suggest he has become the go-to every-down option within Los Angeles' offense.
