Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins is expected to meet with new general manager Monti Ossenfort soon so that the club will know if he would prefer to be traded or remain with the organization for the 2023 season. The meeting is likely to happen in the coming week.

Fantasy Spin: Hopkins has been the subject of trade rumors for months and the Cardinals may be headed towards a rebuild, so there is a good chance that he could be suiting up in a different uniform for the 2023 season. When healthy, he should be viewed as a weekly starting option in all fantasy leagues regardless of where he lands.

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins may be on the trading block this offseason, per Jordan Schultz of The Score on Tuesday, Jan. 10.

Fantasy Spin: There aren't a whole lot of reports to confirm this, but the Cardinals could be heading toward a rebuild, and it would make sense for Arizona to get out of his contract. He's a hold in dynasty leagues to see where he may end up if a trade does happen.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to be traded this upcoming offseason. The organization appears ready to move on from the 30-year-old who has two years left on his current contract. The fact that Hopkins wants a new deal is possibly why the team wants to trade him this offseason. Regardless, the superstar wideout should be one of the best available receivers this offseason. He finished with 64 receptions, 717 yards, and three touchdowns through nine games this season. Those don't seem like great numbers, but Hopkins was suspended early in the season and dealt with a knee issue late in the year. He still should be able to produce above average numbers on whatever team he lands with next season.

Dynasty | The Cardinals plan to trade DeAndre Hopkins this offseason Dynasty Analysis: It's not a shocking assertion as the team has multiple holes to fill and is likely not positioned for a deep post-season run in the near future, making a trade of Hopkins, now 30, a smart move. Hopkins still has two years remaining on his contract worth north of $34M which could be a sticking point but the receiver still appears to be in top shape heading into his age-31 season. 2022 wasn't kind to Hopkins who appeared in only nine games, though he still produced 717 yards and three touchdowns across 64 receptions. He could be an intriguing acquisition target for a competitive NFL team in the coming months. Now found as DLF's WR37, Hopkins should only be on the radar for competitive dynasty teams.

The Arizona Cardinals have declared RB James Conner, OG Lecitus Smith, WR Robbie Anderson, QB Colt McCoy, CB Marco Wilson, CB Antonio Hamilton, WR DeAndre Hopkins, DL Zach Allen and LB Zaven Collins inactive for Week 18.

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 6, and has been ruled out for Week 18.

Fantasy Spin: Marquise Brown and Greg Dortch likely will be the main receivers for the Cardinals this week. Brown has more fantasy value than Dortch, but both could be flex options in fantasy leagues.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) won't play in Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers. The star receiver didn't play against the Atlanta Falcons last week after suffering a knee injury during practice. With the Cardinals eliminated from playoff consideration, it's no surprise that Hopkins won't play this week. The star receiver ends the 2022 season with 64 receptions on 96 targets for 717 receiving yards and three touchdowns in nine games. Depending on what Arizona does in the offseason, Hopkins might have played his final game for the Cardinals. However, the star receiver showed that he has plenty of gas left in the tank and is a WR2 or better next year, regardless of where he is playing.

Jan 4 2:43pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was ruled out for Week 18 on Wednesday, Jan. 4, head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced.

Fantasy Spin: Hopkins' season ends with him sitting out the last two games due to a knee injury. After returning from a six-game suspension, Hopkins returned to WR1 form, but inconsistent quarterback play limited his ceiling. Turning 31 next year, Hopkins is starting to get up there in age, but there has been nothing to suggest he won't be an elite wide receiver once again in 2023. The biggest concern is the status of Kyler Murray (knee), who suffered a torn ACL in Week 14 and may not be ready for the start of next season. Hopkins has shown he can still produce with lackluster quarterbacks, but there's no doubt Murray's absence for any length of time would hurt his stock.

Jan 2 9:13pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins' (knee) status for Week 18 is uncertain at this point.

Fantasy Spin: Hopkins was not able to play in the last game because of the injury and could miss another game depending on his recovery. Fantasy players will know more about his status later in the week.

Dec 31 2:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) has been ruled out for a Week 17 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Hopkins did not participate in practice on Friday, and with Arizona already eliminated from playoff contention, it's no surprise that the team has elected to play it safe with its star wideout. With David Blough starting at quarterback, it will be difficult to trust any Cardinals receiving option, but Marquise Brown, Greg Dortch, A.J. Green, and Trey McBride could all see additional target volume.

From RotoBaller

Dec 31 2:13pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) was downgraded from questionable to out for Week 17, the team announced on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Spin: Hopkins was a new addition to the injury report on Friday, and with the season being over for the Cards, it makes no sense to run him out there while hurt. With David Blough under center, fantasy managers were no doubt at least thinking about sitting the usually must-start receiver, but that decision has now been made for them. Marquise Brown and Greg Dortch will see more run with Hopkins sidelined, but Arizona's situation is one best avoided thanks to the situation under center.

From TheHuddle

Dec 30 5:43pm ET

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 30, and is listed as questionable for Week 17.

Fantasy Spin: Hopkins seems to have suffered an injury at some point this week and will be a game-time decision. He is a weekly starting option when healthy, but fantasy players will need other options ready in case Hopkins is unable to play.

From TheHuddle

Dec 30 5:03pm ET

Arizona Cardinals DE Zach Allen (hand) and CB Antonio Hamilton (hip) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 17 versus the Atlanta Falcons. QB Colt McCoy (concussion) did not practice Friday, Dec. 30, and has also been ruled out. WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) and CB Marco Wilson (neck) did not practice Friday and are listed as questionable. OT Kelvin Beachum (knee, ankle) and LB Tanner Vallejo (knee) were limited in practice Friday and are also listed as questionable. RB James Conner (illness), WR A.J. Green (illness), OG Max Garcia (shoulder), C Billy Price (knee), DB Charles Washington (chest) and CB Josh Jackson (hamstring) practiced in full Friday and have been removed from the injury report.

From TheHuddle

Dec 30 2:53pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (knee) is dealing with a knee issue, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. A decision regarding his status for Week 17 is expected to be made Saturday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Spin: It was announced earlier Friday that Arizona will be starting David Blough at quarterback, so the combination of the Cardinals putting a fourth-stringer under center and Hopkins being less than 100 percent might be enough to bench him regardless of whether he is active or not. Consider him no better than a low-end WR3 if he suits up.

From TheHuddle

Dec 30 2:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (knee) could miss the Week 17 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said the team will see how Hopkins feels on Saturday before making a decision. Colt McCoy (concussion) protocol has already been ruled out and David Blough has been named the starter. It seems like the Cardinals are waving the white flag this week, so it'll be no shock if Hopkins doesn't take the risk of playing in a "meaningless" game. If he does play, it's hard to bench him since he's produced will several bottom-of-the-barrel quarterback in his career, but his touchdown upside will be capped.

From RotoBaller

Dec 26 11:20am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins struggled to make an impact during the Week 16 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To be fair, Hopkins did have third string quarterback Trace McSorley under center on Sunday. Hopkins was only able to haul in one of his 10 targets for four yards in the loss. This was obviously a disappointing outing, but Hopkins should bounce back next week. Veteran quarterback Colt McCoy should clear concussion protocol in time for the Week 17 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. He should be a low-end WR1 for that game, assuming McCoy returns under center.

From RotoBaller

Dec 26 1:53am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins hauled in one of his 10 targets for four yards in Week 16 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

From TheHuddle

Dec 23 5:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins figures to lose some of his value with third-string quarterback Trace McSorley under center, but fantasy managers should still treat him as a potential low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in this one. With Marquise Brown potentially unavailable, Hopkins figures to once again see a significant target volume in this one. Hopkins has seen 10+ targets in all but two games this season, but it is yet to be seen who McSorley will gravitate to the most, especially considering he and Brown spent some time together in Baltimore. Hopkins should act as the security blanket for the inexperienced quarterback, which makes him a startable option in what could be a pass-heavy game script.
