The Pittsburgh Steelers have declared CB Darius Rush, LB Blake Martinez, DL DeMarvin Leal, LB T.J. Watt, OT Dylan Cook, QB Mitchell Trubisky and S Elijah Riley inactive for Wild Card Weekend.

From TheHuddle

Jan 13 9:23pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt led the NFL with 19.0 sacks in 2023, and he joined his brother, J.J. Watt, as the only players with multiple seasons of 19 or more sacks.

From TheHuddle

Jan 13 1:50am ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers recorded four sacks and two fumble recoveries while surrendering just 10 points to the Baltimore Ravens in last week's victory. Unfortunately, Pittsburgh's defense will be without its best player in a wild-card round showdown against the Buffalo Bills. All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Week 18 that will keep him sidelined on Sunday. Still, the Steelers are in an interesting spot given the weather conditions in Buffalo. Heavy snow and winds are expected throughout the weekend and could cause issues for a Bills offense that turns the ball over at a high rate. With Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick back in action, the Steelers D/ST has the potential to be a top fantasy option this weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) was removed from the injury report ahead of this weekend's Wild-Card matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Fitzpatrick hasn't played since Week 15 due to a lingering knee issue. However, he was able to get through full practice sessions this week. The star safety appears ready to go, which is a significant boost for this defense that is going to be without T.J. Watt. Fitzpatrick has 64 tackles and three passes defended in 10 games this season.

Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt (knee) did not practice all week and has been ruled out for the team's AFC Wild Card Game against the Buffalo Bills. OG Isaac Seumalo (shoulder) did not practice on Friday, Jan. 12, but no longer appears on the injury report. RB Najee Harris (knee), LB Elandon Roberts (pectoral) and S Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report. CB Patrick Peterson (rest), DT Cameron Heyward (rest) and DT Larry Ogunjobi (rest) were not given a practice designation on Friday but are expected to be available.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt (knee) will not play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game in Buffalo against the Bills. Watt suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee in the Week 18 regular season finale win over the Baltimore Ravens last Saturday. It was a best-case scenario for the 29-year-old pass-rusher given the way the injury actually looked on the field, but Watt won't be available this weekend and might not be able to play in the Divisional Round if the Steelers pull off the upset over the Bills without him. We wouldn't put it past Watt to be ready if Pittsburgh advances, but the bottom line is that the Steelers defense is going to be missing their best player in a tough matchup on the road against the Bills, who were one of the hottest teams down the stretch in the regular season.

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt (knee) would need at least two weeks to be able to play in a knee brace in a best-case scenario, according to sources.

Jan 7 12:23pm ET

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt (knee) has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 medial collateral ligament sprain and does not have any other structural damage to his knee, according to CBS Sports' J.J. Watt. He is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.

From TheHuddle

Jan 7 8:53am ET

Updating previous reports, Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt (knee) is believed to have sustained a torn medial collateral ligament or Grade 3 MCL sprain in Week 18's game versus the Baltimore Ravens, according to multiple sources. He will undergo further tests but will be sidelined for several weeks.

From TheHuddle

Jan 7 2:10am ET

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (knee) suffered a torn MCL during Saturday's win over the Ravens. It's not good news for Pittsburgh, who still has a chance at earning a postseason berth. However, although he'll undergo further testing, the team may be without their top defensive option throughout the postseason. Watt had a remarkable 2023-24 campaign and will finish with 19 sacks, one of the best marks of his career, so his absence isn't ideal for a Steelers defense that's been a top-10 unit this season.

From RotoBaller

Jan 6 9:43pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers LB T.J. Watt (knee) finished eight tackles, including three tackles for loss, and two sacks before exiting with a knee injury against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18.

From TheHuddle

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers T.J. Watt (knee) suffered a sprained MCL pending further testing, according to sources Saturday, Jan. 6.

From TheHuddle

Jan 6 7:40pm ET

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt (knee) won't return to Saturday's Week 18 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The superstar pass rusher exited in the third quarter after suffering a knee injury. Before exiting, Watt recorded two sacks and three tackles. His absence is certainly a huge hit for the Steelers defense. The hope is that this is a minor issue and Watt will be fine for the postseason, assuming the Steelers are able to make the postseason.

Watt (rest) were limited in practice all week but no longer appear on the injury report. Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt (undisclosed) was banged up late in the Week 17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, but he does not appear to be in danger of missing an important Week 18 bout against the Baltimore Ravens. Watt took a few snaps off on Sunday after being twisted awkwardly to the turf, but he said he is fine. "I'll be ready to go for Saturday," Watt said. "No worries." If the Steelers win, they'll have a chance to earn a playoff berth if a few other teams in the AFC playoff picture lose. Needless to say, he doesn't want to miss this game, and he's expected to be full-go.
