2024 RTSports Outlook

Moore missed about half the season last year, eventually seeing his season cut short because of a groin injury that required surgery during the offseason. He was productive when on the field, having 41 receptions for 414 yards in eight games. He had five games with double-digit fantasy points. Moore could play a big role from day one this year, likely getting a chance to start in the pass-first Cardinals offense with DeAndre Hopkins gone. Moore has game-changing speed and is explosive with the ball in his hands. He catches the ball well and is an improving route runner. Moore is a small receiver, though, and had injury issues each of his first two seasons in the league.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Moore has a chance to post career best numbers if he is able to stay healthy. He should be considered a No. 3 for fantasy teams. Health is a concern but he will be consistent when on the field in this offense. He can get 80 receptions for 800 yards and five touchdowns.

Dynasty | The Cardinals have traded wide receiver Rondale Moore to the Atlanta Falcons. Dynasty Analysis: In a rare player-for-player swap in the NFL, Moore was traded for quarterback Desmond Ridder. He'll now get a second lease on life and do so with Kirk Cousins at the helm. He's going to be no better than fourth or fifth in the pecking order for targets behind Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson and possibly Darnell Mooney. Still, a change of scenery likely breathes a little life into his dynasty value.

Mar 14 1:40pm ET

The Atlanta Falcons are acquiring wide receiver Rondale Moore from the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday in exchange for quarterback Desmond Ridder, according to a source. Moore will give new quarterback Kirk Cousins yet another weapon in the passing game out of the slot. Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts will be the top two aerial targets for Cousins in his first year in Atlanta, but Moore, 23, will provide plenty of speed out of the slot. The former second-round pick of the Cardinals in 2021 out of Purdue has scored just one touchdown in each of his three NFL seasons and had his best statistical season in his rookie year with a line of 54-435-1. From a fantasy perspective, it will be difficult for Moore to stand out in Atlanta after the Falcons also signed Darnell Mooney in free agency.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore's recent performance in the Cardinals' Week 17 victory over the Eagles, where he caught three passes for 26 yards and had two carries for eight yards, adds to a season marked by inconsistency. Despite consistent playing time, with a 60 percent share in 14 of 16 games, Moore has struggled to deliver significant yardage in most outings, with only five games surpassing 40 yards. Since quarterback Kyler Murray's return in Week 10, Moore's contributions have been limited, accumulating just 16 catches on 24 targets, six carries, 216 total yards, and one receiving touchdown in seven contests. Even though Moore and the Cardinal offense take on the Seahawk's defense in Week 18, which has conceded the eighth-most receptions to wide receivers, there's no guarantee of a breakthrough. To that end, fantasy managers should consider sitting Moore and opting for more reliable options to close out the year.

Dec 30 2:50am ET

Arizona Cardinal's third-year receiver Rondale Moore faces off against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 17, who currently rank 12th against the pass. In the Cardinals' recent loss to the Bears, Moore showed his big-play potential with a 22-yard gain on 2-of-3 targets, though totaling only 30 yards. With teammate Marquise Brown now on the IR due to a knee issue, Moore becomes an intriguing fantasy stash. While he remains a big-play-dependent WR4, the increased opportunities stemming from Brown's absence could elevate Moore's role in the passing game. However, with Week 17 being championship week in most leagues, there are most likely better-starting options available for those playing in the title game. As such, Moore remains nothing more than a Week 17 bench stash.

Dec 23 3:40am ET

In the Arizona Cardinals' Week 15 loss to the 49ers, wide receiver Rondale Moore caught 2-of-3 targets for a mere five yards and had one rushing attempt for three yards. Despite Arizona's receiving corps getting reinforcements post-bye week, Moore's role remained consistent. He was one of six Arizona players to see three targets, but his overall involvement was limited. Moore continues to be a big play-dependent WR4 from a fantasy perspective. The upcoming matchup against the Bears suggests that Moore may struggle to generate significant fantasy value on so few touches. Considering his limited recent production and potential challenges against Chicago, at this point fantasy managers can't consider Rondale anything better than a bench stash.

Dec 18 1:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore continued to disappoint in the team's 45-29 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Moore finished the Week 15 contest with two catches on three targets for only five yards while carrying the ball once for a pickup of three yards. The 23-year-old was unable to capitalize when rookie Michael Wilson (shoulder) missed three games from Weeks 11-13 and remained silent with Wilson returning on Sunday. Moore has just one touchdown on the year and now has just 11 receiving yards on three receptions in the last two games. Marquise Brown aggravated his heel injury in Week 15 and could be forced to miss time, but even then, Moore just hasn't done enough for fantasy managers to get excited about picking him up off the waiver wire.

Dec 16 2:20am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide-out Rondale Moore faces off against the top defense in the league in the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 and may find it tough sledding. In Week 13, Moore was held to just one catch for 6 yards, and even though teammates Marquise Brown (heel) and Michael Wilson (neck) are listed as questionable for this game, there is the possibility at least one of them may play. Additionally, so far this season, Moore has racked up 9.0 yards per reception, which ranks 102nd in the NFL. He's also compiled 260 receiving yards and one TD through the air. Each ranks 131st in the league. Those are ugly numbers. Combine that with the brutal matchup and Moore is best left on fantasy benches.

Dec 4 12:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore's day in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers could have been much more fruitful, but he ended the 24-10 upset win with just a six-yard pickup on his only catch (two targets). Moore secured a long touchdown catch in the back of the end zone that was called back due to an offensive penalty and he did very little else on a day in which the Cardinals didn't need to throw the ball much after building an early lead and never being threatened by a Steelers offense that lost quarterback Kenny Pickett to an ankle injury early in the first half. He had a 48-yard touchdown catch (his first of the year) in Week 11 but has posted three catches for 41 yards in two games since. The 23-year-old hasn't gone over 50 yards receiving in a single game in 2023 and has a bad matchup in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers after a bye in Week 14.

Dec 2 4:30am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide-out Rondale Moore recorded two catches on just three targets for 35 yards in the team's 37-14 loss to the Rams in Week 12. Moore had no problem securing offensive snaps (53 of 71), but couldn't crack the 40 yards from scrimmage mark for the eighth time this year. He also has only three total catches over his last two games combined. To that end, Moore continues to be a non-factor for fantasy purposes. Despite his big-play potential, Moore is simply not doing enough, and the outlook for Week 13 appears even more bleak, as the Cardinals will take on a solid pass defense in the Steelers. As a result, Moore is best left on the fantasy bench.

Nov 25 3:30am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide-out Rondale Moore has finished with at least 43 receiving yards in each of his last two games while grabbing a long touchdown in Week 11 against the Houston Texans. In Week 12, Moore and the Cardinals passing attack will face off against the L.A. Rams. Even though Moore is beginning to show some fantasy signs of life with a re-emerging Kyler Murray under center, he'll have to step it up in Week 12, as the Rams boast a top-10 pass defense. Additionally, teammate Marquise Brown is listed as questionable for this game. If Brown doesn't play, Moore could see additional coverage and struggle to be fantasy-relevant. That uncertainty alone makes it tough to view Rondale as nothing more than a WR3/Flex play heading into Week 12.

Nov 20 2:10am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide-out Rondale Moore turned his only target into 48 yards with one touchdown in the team's 21-16 Week 11 loss to the Texans. His lone reception on the day led to a first-quarter score to help give the Cardinals an early lead which they would later relinquish. In the past two games with quarterback Kyler Murray at the helm, Moore has started to show signs of life. He's seen nine targets with Murray under center, matching his combined total from the previous three weeks. In Week 12, Moore will look to continue his decent play in an inter-divisional showdown against the Rams.

Nov 18 3:40am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide-out Rondale Moore recorded five catches (on eight targets) for 43 yards in the team's Week 10 win against the Atlanta Falcons. The return of Kyler Murray (knee) allowed Moore to obtain season highs in receptions, targets, and receiving yards. Murray also provided a boost to Moore's fantasy output, as before this game Moore struggled to get anything going and had been outshone by rookie Michael Wilson. In Week 11, Moore will go up against the Houston Texans, who have been mediocre against the pass. While the potential is there with Murray now back in the fold, until he shows additional consistency Moore should stay on the fantasy bench.

Nov 11 2:40am ET

Arizona Cardinals receiver Rondale Moore has had a rough go of it so far this season and has yet to provide consistent fantasy stats. That could change, however, in Week 10, as the long-awaited debut of quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) should be a boost to Moore's production. Add to it the fact that the Falcon's pass defense has been mediocre at best against opposing wide receivers and Moore has a chance to post decent numbers. Since the Cardinals have been somewhat creative with his skillset over the past few games, it will be interesting to see how they decide to utilize him with Murray back under center. However, without knowing Arizona's plans, Moore currently remains too risky of a fantasy option. He's best left on the fantasy bench.

Nov 4 2:00am ET

Arizona Cardinals wideout Rondale Moore isn't worth a start in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns. Even though Moore continues to be somewhat utilized by the team in the running game with starter James Conner (knee) out, he has been surpassed by rookie wide-out Michael Wilson in the passing game and thus remains off the radar. In addition, this week Moore and the Cardinals face off against a Browns defense that boasts one of the top pass defenses in the NFL. While it is possible the Cardinals could begin to utilize him more frequently with rookie quarterback Clayton Tune at the helm, the matchup combined with Moore's declining usage makes him a bench stash in Week 9.

Oct 28 3:20am ET

Arizona Cardinals wideout Rondale Moore isn't worth a start in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens. Even though Moore continues to be somewhat utilized by the team in the backfield with starter James Conner (knee) out, he has been surpassed by rookie Michael Wilson in the passing game. In addition to his declining role, this week Moore and the Cardinals face off against a Baltimore squad that has been at or near tops in the league on the passing defense side of the ball. Those stats combined with Moore's weekly declining usage in the offense make him an easy bench stash. Unless his current situation improves, Moore remains completely off the fantasy radar in Week 8.

From RotoBaller

Oct 23 2:50am ET

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore caught two of four targets for two yards and rushed four times for 24 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Seahawks. Moore saw his usual allotment of rushes and receptions but didn't do anything with them en route to another disappointing fantasy stat line. Halfway through the fantasy season Moore has been more productive on the ground than through the air and continues to play second-fiddle to rookie wide-out Marquise Wilson in the passing game. At this point, he should only be rostered in the deepest of leagues and has become nothing more than a big-play-dependent WR3.
