Overview

  1. There will be TWO CONFERENCES WITH 2 DIVISIONS IN EACH CONERENCE (total of 4 divisions each containing 4 teams). Standings are determined by overall record with HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORDS being the FIRST tie breaker, DIVISIONAL RECORD being the second tie-breaker, and then total points used. If necessary, total points head-to-head will be used after the first three remained tied.  So, in the odd chance there was a tie in head-to-head records, only then total points will be used to break this second tie. Example: if team A and team B end the regular season with the same record, and team A has a 3-1 record head to head against team B, team A wins the tie breaker (even if team B has more total points).

The First year, the divisions and conferences will be picked randomly.  After the first year, each year after will have the division determined by a snake draft from the 4 Division winners regardless of conference. The Division winners from each division the previous Fantasy Season, will snake draft the other owners that they want in their division.  The draft order of these division winners will be from worst division winner record picking first, then the 2nd worst division winning record, to the 2nd best division winning record picking 3rd, to the Presidents Cup Winner (division winner with best record) picking 4th (last).  It will be a snake draft involving fantasy owners that will be done via group text and/or email. For example, Cowboys, Vipers, Kegstands and Big Lou all win their divisions this year.  The worst record of those winners picks first.  If Big Lou had t he worst record of these 4 division winners, he gets the first pick for a team in his division the following season. He can pick Fauci with the number 1 pick.  Then it snakes until every owner is in a division. This may be a way for Fridge to finally get picked first in something.

  1. In a 16-team format the 4 DIVISION WINNERS will be the teams with he best overall won/loss records with head-to-head records BEING THE FIRST TIEBREAKER, DIVISIONAL RECORD being the second tie-breaker, and then total points used. If necessary, total points head-to-head will be used after the first three remained tied.
  2. Each Conference will have 2 WILD CARD teams determined by the top 2 won/loss records from the remaining 6 teams within each conference (not necessarily one from each division).  HEAD-TO-HEAD records will be the first tie breaker, then CONFERENCE RECORD (computed manually), and THEN total points being the THIRD tie breaker for tied head to head records (1-1).
  3. 8 total playoff teams, 4 from each conference.  Each conference will have 2 division winners and 2 wild cards.

Schedule (28 Games)

This schedule allows you to play each team in the entire league at least once, play each division opponent 4 times (weeks 1, 3, 8 & 13) when there are NO NFL teams on their Bye. It also allows you to play each other conference team twice (weeks 2 & 9).  You will play each team from the other conference once. This gives us a total of 28 games in this format.

In the unlikely event of a game ending in a tie, bench scoring for that week will determine the winner for that game.

Weeks 1, 3, 8, and 13 will be DIVISION RIVALRY WEEKS.  These weeks will be triple headers (head-to-head against each of the 3 teams within your division).  To clarify, you will play 3 games Weeks 1, 3, 8, and 13.

Weeks 2 & 9 will be CONFERENCE RIVALY WEEKS. These weeks you will play a quadruple header (head-to head against each of the 4 non-division teams in your conference).  To clarify, you will play 4 games weeks 2 & 9.

Weeks 4-7 and weeks 10-12 and week 14, you will play 1 game versus an out of conference opponent.

PLAY-OFFS: 8 playoff teams with each Conference Regular Season Champion getting a First Round Bye Week 15.  The remaining 3 playoff teams in each conference will be playing "best score" week.  The top score in each conference playoff game for week 15 will advance to week 16--so there is no "one-opponent" week 15.

Week 16 will have the top seed (Conference Regular Season Champion) facing the highest scoring team from their conference playoff game week 15, Head-to-head.

Week 17 will be the Fantasy Bowl between the two head-to-head winners from each conference playoff champion determined week 16.  The winner of the Fantasy Bowl is the Oz 2024 Champion.

PRO BOWL: Week 18 (yes, after the Fantasy bowl) will be our Pro Bowl.  The team with the highest Starters AND Bench scoring will win the $50 prize.  You will not need to set a lineup.  If there is a tie, the team with the best record of the tie scores will win the tie breaker.  If those records are the same, the $50 will be split evenly.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE/12th MAN-During Division Rivalry and Conference Rivalry weeks (1, 2, 3, 8, 9, & 13) the Home Fantasy Team Designated by the schedule will receive and additional 1.2 points (Everyone will have the same amount of these home games).  All out of conference games are played on a neutral site in London so there is NO Home Field Advantage for weeks you play an out of conference opponent.

Home Field advantage will also be done for the first round of the playoffs only (the Division winner will have a 1.2 point bonus for home field when they play “best score” that week against the 2 Wild Card teams).

Rosters (14 total players)

  1. ROSTER POSITION CAPS: Due to the increase to 16 teams, Team Defenses, Team QBs, and Team Kickers will be limited to a MAXIMUM of 2 per team.
  2. Our rosters will be maintained at 14 players.  14 Players must be drafted during the auction,
  3. I/R or Covid – If you can put an injured player in an IR spot, that player no longer counts toward your total number of rostered players. It frees up a roster spot to add a replacement without having to drop another player.  Only Players on the NFL Covid list, Opt-Opt or on the official NFL I/R, PuP, or NFI lists. Each fantasy team is allowed a maximum of 2 (two) players placed in an I/R slot.  As soon as NFL takes that player of the previously mentioned lists, that player must be removed from the I/R and your roster must be returned to 18.  Failure to do so will result in the previously Injured player who was designated to the I/R slot, being released into the free agency pool, so please be mindful if utilizing this feature.

Starting Lineups

  1. 8 Players comprise our starting lineups.  Starting Lineups will consist of 1 Team QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE (Tight Ends count as Receivers so you do not need a separate TE), 1 Team Defense/S, 1 Team Kicker and 3 Flex players who can be from the RB/TE/WR pool. This should make the draft and lineups easier as you can draft as many RBs or WR/TE’s as you wish so long as you have met your lineup requirements.
  2. All starting lineups must consist of players playing that week. In the event an owner is lazy and is starting a player on their bye, the commissioner will start a player from the bench that has the higher projection according to RT Sports.  If a valid replacement is not currently on the roster, the commissioner will make a transaction to fulfill the starting lineup.  With the flex players it should not be a problem. It may happen if both QBs, both Defenses, or both Kickers are on the same bye.  Please draft accordingly to the bye weeks and make transactions to have legal lineups each week so this does NOT happen. If a commissioner can not remedy a lineup because there is no viable options the team will then take a minus 9 point penalty for that week.  Please do not allow this to happen (Billy) by having some foresight.

Scoring

  1. Usual, basic scoring with ½ point per reception and bonuses for good performances and minuses for bad performances. No coaches at all this year.  check all scoring rules on the sire for more details and for clarity.

Payouts

  1. League fees ($170) can be paid in person, mailed, or electronically transferred.  Information to follow, but indicate which preference you desire. The only thing being deducted from league fees will be the site cost of $80.  Ideally, we want playoff teams to get close to their money back, reward top won/loss records for each division, and top total points team, as well as the Fantasy Bowl Champion.  Weekly high scoring payouts will also be made throughout the first 17 weeks of the NFL schedule at $20 for each week’s top score (tie breakers will apply, so only one person can win this weekly prize).  Week 18 will be the Pro Bowl payout of $50.  On or around Draft Day these payouts will be announced and official.

This 16-team league will be utilizing these payouts:

                        $170 (League fee per team)

                        x 16 (teams)

                        $2720

                           -$80 (rt sports fee)

                         $2640

                          -$800 (4 Division winners x 200)

                          $1840

                           -$600 (4 Wild Card winners x 150)

                           $1240

                            -$100 (2 Regular Season Conference Champions x 50)

                           $1140

-$50 (Overall Best Regular Season Record after tie breakers x 50)

                           $1090

                            -$340 ($20 weekly high x 17 weeks)

                              $750

                              -500 (Fantasy Bowl Winner)

                              $250

                             -$200 (Fantasy Bowl Runner Up)

                                $50

-50 (Pro Bowl Winner Week 18)

                                  $0

To summarize the above math, each of the 4 Division winners will each win $200.  Each of the 4 Wild Card winners will win $150. The Presidents Cup winner (best overall record after tiebreakers) will receive an extra $50.  The 2 Regular Season Conference Champions (best overall regular season record in each conference) will receive $50 each.  The winner of the Fantasy Bowl will receive $500.  The loser of the fantasy Bowl will receive $200.  From weeks 1 thru week 17, the team scoring the highest point total for each week (tie breakers utilized if necessary) will receive $20.  The winner of the Pro Bowl will receive $50.  The league site fee is $80 which goes to rtsports.

Waiver Wire

  1. Waiver wires are blind bids (you can bid 0) that are done Wednesday night at 12am.  Highest blind bid gets the free agent.  You start with $100 PLUS ANY LEFT OVER MONEY FROM THE AUCTION DRAFT in your waiver wire funds.  You will be able to place a blind Bid Tuesday Morning at 11am.  If two or more teams have the same lowest bid (example three tams bid 0 dollars on Ray Rice, the team with the WORST record win the bid.  If both teams have the same worst record, the team with the least total points will be awarded the player.  Waiver wire funds can be included in trade proposals (Example, Joe Burrow and $15 waiver wire funds for Lamar Jackson).  Waivers will be done by the site Thursday morning, to which a 'free-for-all' free agency pickup time (no bids necessary, first come first serve) begins and will go on until the NFL games start, then all remaining free agents from games that have started will be locked. So, if you miss out on a waiver claim because of a higher bid from another team, you will still be able to make free agent pickups from the pool eligible of players. These post waiver wire transactions, “FREE AGENT” PICK UPS, are $1 from your waiver wire budget. To clarify, waiver wire pickups can be made at $0 (zero) dollars but free agent transactions (after the waiver wire claims are done) will cost $1 from your waiver wire budget. If you run out of waiver wire money early, the only way to pick up a player is via a $0 waiver claim. You can place an unlimited number of $0 waiver bids on multiple players.

WAIVER WIRE TRANSACTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THRU WEEK 18 FOR ALL TEAMS (NON-PLAYOFF TEAMS CAN MAKE CLAIMS/PICK-UPS SINCE THEY CAN COMPETE FOR WEEKLY HIGHS AND OUR PRO BOWL PRIZE).

Once a players NFL game has started you will not be able to pick up or release anyone playing in that game until the waiver wire re-opens for the following week.  Any player that has not played yet or is on a bye is eligible to be released or picked up until their NFL game starts.

Trades

  1. Trade requests offered will be available until there is a rejection or if the sending owner rescinds the request. For example, if an owner offers Saquon Barkley for Jamar Chase week 2, but the owner sits on the trade (thinks about it, does not reject it nor does he accept it), and then weeks 5-7, Saquon Barkley overperforms while Jamar Chase under performs, the original trade request is still valid if the original offer was not taken back or rejected. So please be mindful of your trade proposals as it may be advantageous for owners to think longer.  Sound advice on trades: send the offers early in the week, accept offers early in the week (especially if it involves Thursday night players) and rescind all trades that are not agreed upon by Saturday.  You can always re-offer the same offer again.

For a trade to be granted in each week, it must be posted through our league message board (not on a handshake) ASAP for 72 hours.  This gives all owners 3 days to review the trade.  Owners will be notified of trades automatically if you choose to get notifications from the site.  If you do not want the automatic notifications, it is up to the owner to frequent the message board for trade announcements.  Ignorance will not be an acceptable excuse for extending trade deadlines or retroactive vetoes.

Once posted on our league message board, a trade cannot be withdrawn by one party due to player injury, suspension, or any other unforeseen circumstance.  The only way an agreed upon trade can be voided is if it is withdrawn by both parties before the trade is granted or vetoed by the majority of the uninvolved owners.  A veto must be published on the message board or in the group text mesage, otherwise it will be considered an approval.

During the 3-day trade acceptance period, all owners (except those involved in the trade) will be given the opportunity to veto the trade.  However, those owners who choose to veto the trade must make a valid case to the message board for why the trade should not be granted.

There are only 2 valid reasons which a trade can be vetoed:

  1. If the players involved in the trade are not of comparable value.
  2. If both teams are not improved by the trade.

If a plurality of the valid votes cast is against the trade, then the trade will not be granted. If a plurality of the valid votes approves the trade before the 72 hours, the transaction will happen before the 72-hour period, as there would not be enough veto votes to stop it.  Failure to vote will be counted as accepting the trade as an approval. If there is a tie then the trade is COMPLETED AND ACCEPTED.

  1. Once accepting the invite, please update and input your information so that the league can email you, or the commissioner can text you if there are any weekly issues. For league-specific issues, please contact the league commissioner first. If the league commissioner is unavailable, contact one of the co-commissioners.

If you cannot contact a commissioner or co-commissioner, and your issue is time-sensitive (for instance, if you are requesting a roster modification because you do not have access to the Internet), please use the league message board or TEXT/email the commissioner AND your OPPONENT to make your request. Or have someone made this communication public for you via these methods.  In this way, we can verify the time of your request and make your roster change retroactively if necessary.
