2019 Improvements to the Site

Postby sterndave1 » Tue Aug 13, 2019 10:16 pm

Any new improvements with RT Sports. Ive been loyal for 18 yrs but it seems it is getting outdated. Im getting pressured to go elsewhere but I don't like change. Any thoughts on this ?

eBay style Max Bids in Auctions
Implement eBay Max Bid style bidding in auctions. The manual bids entered by
customers will only be used as a maximum bid amount, allowing customers to win the
player for $1 more than the next highest bid by a customer.

Would be huge to add this to waivers

This would be nice
---
There is a new option to Auto-Insert Players into Starting Lineups. So if an owner makes a transaction on Sunday morning and drops his starting kicker to pick up a different kicker, you can have the system automatically put the newly acquired kicker into the lineup, instead of requiring the owner to remember to resubmit his lineup after the waiver pick up.

ebay style bidding has been discussed a number of times but never made the cut yet, it's still fairly high on the list so it may not be far off.

A feature for auto-starting players is not likely in commissioner leagues. We have the software to do it and it runs in public money leagues to lessen the impact of abandoned teams. But frankly, it's a sh!t-show. There's a number of what-ifs that cause issues on a weekly basis and dozens of complaints about it every year. It's still better than the alternative (abandoned teams) in public leagues when there's no commish around to enforce setting lineups, go in after the fact to set them, or other punitive rules in place if owners don't set lineups. We feel most commissioner-ed leagues prefer their owners set their own lineups entirely. Knowing all the what-if issues that could come up, plus the fact we really haven't heard leagues ask for this feature, it's just unlikely to happen unless we hear quite a few leagues wanting it.

Been asking for many many years for a rookie squad. Dynasty leagues are becoming more and more popular every year. Flea Flicker, MFL and many more offer taxi/rookie squads. Why won't RTSports offer this?

Well auto starts for when you drop your only kicker for a kicker, and maybe defense would be nice, but I hear you.
