I have to admit that I’m a little embarrassed to even be responding here, because I generally avoid engaging in this level of outrage theater. Most of us are trying to manage our teams, make trades, and enjoy the season rather than spending multiple days writing manifestos about the end of fantasy baseball civilization.

You’ve made it very clear that I’m either a criminal mastermind, part of a secret alliance, or somehow responsible for 400 teams leaving RTSports. That is an impressive amount of influence for someone simply trying to improve his roster.

What seems to be getting lost here is that you continue to insist there is collusion while simultaneously acknowledging that the commissioner, customer service, and the site itself all see a legitimate trade between two willing owners. At some point, the possibility has to be considered that reasonable people simply value players differently than you do.

You also mentioned that if you're eliminated, you'll trade your stars for peanuts to help someone else win. Interestingly, you've now spent more time describing actual collusion than anyone has spent committing it.

But I do have a proposal. Please renew for next season. In fact, I strongly encourage it. I will gladly send all three of these players to your team in exchange for your first-, second-, and third-round picks.

After all, you've spent several days explaining that these players are worth dramatically more than what was paid for them. By your own valuation, this would be one of the greatest bargains in league history. Frankly, with the amount of energy you've devoted to these players, I assumed you'd be first in line to acquire them.

Perhaps this can serve as compensation for all the suffering, investigative work, customer service calls, league projections, and RTSports economic forecasts you've endured over this transaction.

In the meantime, I would respectfully suggest that accusing fellow owners of cheating, predicting the collapse of the site, announcing the departure of hundreds of teams, and threatening future retaliation may not be the strongest way to convince everyone else that you are approaching this objectively.

So please renew next season. Send me your first-, second-, and third-round picks for these three players, and I will gladly accept your offer. Based on your repeated evaluations, it sounds like you'd be getting the steal of the century.

Just to clarify, my suspected collusion had nothing to do with anyone in this league. It was another league with two players who I did not know. The one was in first place and the other in last and happened right at the trade deadline and was ridiculously lopsided towards the first place team. When I questioned it to RTS, they deemed it “fair” and said it would stand. That’s when I said no more RTS for me. There may be some douches in these leagues but wasn’t calling anyone cheaters here. Said my peace! Good luck to all!

last season I made a mistake a sent out a trade offer last August. I emailed Logan right away and said it was a bs mistake offer I wanted to ask for another player, a couple of teams complained and Logan said the trade will stand. I basically gave rice and wetherholt away… lesson learned

Apparently I've gone from fantasy baseball owner to criminal mastermind because I made a trade someone doesn't like. That's... quite the promotion.

Let's do some basic math since we're all supposedly experts.

League champion: $1,200.

Let's assume I spend about 1 hour per week managing my team over a 26-week season, plus another 10 hours during the offseason. That's 36 hours invested.

Now let's also assume, for the sake of your fantasy, that I'm "splitting" the winnings with someone.

That leaves me with $600 for 36 hours of work.

That's $16.67 an hour.

Congratulations. According to your theory, I'm risking my reputation, my account, and getting banned from the site... to make less than I could working the fryer at McDonald's.

As for the "collusion" claims, here's a crazy idea: sometimes people simply value players differently. That's literally how trading works. If every trade had identical player values, there would never be a trade.

And to those announcing this is their "last year" on the site... airports don't announce departing flights for passengers who have already decided to leave.

If you genuinely believe there is collusion, report it. Let the commissioners review it. That's what they're there for.

But screaming "RIGGED!" every time a trade isn't one you personally would make isn't evidence. It's just a public announcement that another owner values players differently than you do.

Anyway, that's enough oxygen spent on this. I usually don't waste time responding to this level of nonsense, and after this post I'll happily get back to managing my team while the two of you continue auditioning for the Fantasy Baseball CSI unit.
