In order to avoid a taxable event if you win over 600 in profit your winnings get taxed. Everytime you purchase a team it counts against the profit.
for example if you paid 2,000 on enterance fees and you won 3,000 dollars you won 1,000 dollars profit and according to the government that money has to be taxed…. However if you purchase 401 in next years teams you profits for the year is 599 and your winnings are no longer a taxable event.
Example I purchased my teams last season and I didn’t purchase my teams in the current season so my entrance fees are essentially 0 now if I win the same 3,000 dollars I have a taxable event of 3,000 so I would need to purchase 2,601 from 2027 to get under 600 profit for the year.
I don’t care what and who people trade each other as long as it’s not collusion between two teams. If someone gets ripped off I just laugh at the donkey 🫏…
I had only two instances that I complained one was back in 2022 were the same two teams were trading 8 for 2 while one of the teams kept changing his name after the trade and making the trade with another name… when I told Logan he emailed me that I needed to move on when I told him that it was BS that I just wanted him to look into it. They made one last trade and then the guy trading his best players put his team for sale and when I called him out on the chat he purchased his team. If that’s wasn’t collusion then WTF is.
the second instance was this off-season in the keystone league the same one I am in it with kluber and Yahtzee a team made a trade while his team was up for sale. And sold his day two days after the trade. It got me mad because I wanted to wait to purchase my teams this year for tax purposes. Sometimes I believe that people in RTS are in cahoots with certain players because it seems certain players are able to exploit loopholes because I could even look at trade offers unless I paid my 2026 season fee.

I might be done…Saw clear shady deal just before the trade deadline last year where the trade was absolutely ridiculously tilted from the last place team to first place team…no doubt collusion…emailed RTS and they said the trade was fair it went through…big reason why I cut down and kept only the teams I re-newed already. Forget this site

RT is so trash. It’s one thing to do weekly waivers, fine. But to have guys hit IR mid week and sometimes early and then not letting you sub a guy in is trash. Along with the slow waiver wire set up. Every year I get closer to leaving the baseball side of RT but investing years in building these teams makes it tough
