Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green (hamstring) is officially ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The questionable tag provided some hope he'd play his first game of the season, but the Suns will miss one of their top scoring options in a forecasted high-scoring affair. Green's hamstring issue has prevented him from suiting up this season to put Phoenix in a tough position with an already limited roster. The 23-year-old averaged 21.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game last season in Houston. A lackluster postseason led to the Rockets trading him to the Suns. Green is considered day-to-day is a good sign for a return to the court soon. Phoenix's need for more talent should help his fantasy value once he's able to play at full health.
Memphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama (shoulder) is available to play in Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Aldama was listed as questionable due to left shoulder soreness putting his status in doubt. The 24-year-old forward has played every game for Memphis so far this season, and he has a larger role after the team lost a couple of relevant players in the offseason. Aldama is averaging 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 22 minutes per game. The Grizzlies need him to help the depth, especially in games where former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. gets into foul trouble. Phoenix allows the third most points in the league this season to give Aldama a chance at one of his best statistical performances now that he's active.
Sacramento Kings guard Keon Ellis (shoulder) is officially available to play on Wednesday evening against the Chicago Bulls. There was some concern over his status due to a nagging left shoulder injury and the timing of the second half of a back-to-back slate. Sacramento will have Ellis suiting up and hoping to build off his best performance of the season last night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 25-year-old currently averages 7.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game in 19 minutes coming off the bench. Kings coach Doug Christie is still figuring out his rotation with a lot of talent on the roster to limit his ceiling. Ellis does still provide some value for a bench player, especially via his steals since only seven players currently average more than him.
Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson (shoulder) is available for Wednesday evening's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Johnson is the biggest addition from the recent major offseason changes, but he's struggled in the early season and recently suffered a minor shoulder injury. The 29-year-old left Monday's game in a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fantasy owners should be happy that Johnson is not missing any time and is expected to continue holding his role in the starting lineup. Unfortunately, the role player is averaging just 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game so far in a new lineup. Denver hopes to get more out of Johnson as one of the best corner shooters in the league. The Pelicans' defense gives up 14 three-pointers per game to provide some fantasy upside for a sharpshooter benefiting from Nikola Jokic's passing.
Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is listed as active for Wednesday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets. Johnson was initially listed as probable, but he's been battling a right ankle sprain that forced him to miss one game so far during a back-to-back. Atlanta has seen the 23-year-old becoming a bright spot during a tough start to the season. Johnson is currently averaging 19.7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game through three games played. Brooklyn is giving up the most points per game in the NBA at 130.5 to provide extra value for him in a great matchup. Kristaps Porzingis and Trae Young average more points than the talented forward, but the Nets give up enough points for all three to have peak fantasy value tonight.
Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (ankle) has been cleared to play in Wednesday night's road game versus the Brooklyn Nets. Risacher has missed two of the last three games and only registered 20 minutes in his recent game against the Chicago Bulls. A right ankle sprain has limited the second-year player hoping to prove the Hawks right for selecting him as the top pick of the 2024 draft class. Risacher is averaging a disappointing nine points and one rebound in just 21 minutes per game. The 20-year-old is shooting 44% from the field and a woeful 25% from three-point range, but the hope is better for health and more consistent minutes to boost his fantasy value. Risacher does have an enticing matchup against the Nets' league-worst defense to provide some optimism starting tonight.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (Achilles) will play on Wednesday night versus the Indiana Pacers. It's not uncommon to see AD on the injury report. However, unlike many times in the past, he is good to go. The 32-year-old has played as well as expected during the 2025 campaign, averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks. With Dereck Lively II (knee) and Daniel Gafford (ankle) still sidelined, Davis will likely spend most of his time at the five, which isn't good news for Isaiah Jackson, Tony Bradley, Pascal Siakam, and Jay Huff. P.J. Washington may also see more work underneath the basket, with D'Angelo Russell and Max Christie in line to see a bump in minutes and scoring opportunities from off the bench.
Jovan Buha of the Athletic reports that Los Angeles Lakers centerJaxson Hayes (knee) will be available to suit up on Wednesday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hayes had missed three consecutive contests due to a knee issue. The 25-year-old's return gives the Lakers some frontcourt depth as Maxi Kleber(oblique) isstill out with a left oblique strain. However, with Deandre Ayton healthy, Hayes has little to no fantasy value going into this evening's matchup.
According to Ben Anderson of KSL News, Salt Lake City, Utah Jazz guardIsaiah Collier(hamstring) is unavailable for Wednesday's contest with the Portland Trail Blazers. The 21-year-old has been dealing with a hamstring injury and has yet to suit up this season. Collier's continued absence has boosted Keyonte George's fantasy value, as he's registered a double-double in two straight games. Rookie Walter Clayton Jr. and 28-year-old Svi Mykhailiukwill also continue to see expanded roles in the rotation with Collier out of action this evening.
Dallas Mavericks centerDaniel Gafford(ankle) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's matchup with the Indiana Pacers. Gafford is in danger of missing another game and has yet to suit up this season due to a right ankle sprain. Dereck Lively II(knee) is likely to miss this evening's contest as well. If Gafford is sidelined again, Anthony Davis (Achilles)will continue to hold things down in the frontcourt despite dealing with an Achilles issue.
Dallas Mavericks guard Dante Exum (knee) won't be available for Wednesday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers. This comes as little surprise, as Exum continues to deal with a right knee issue and has yet to make his season debut. Health problems also limited him to just 20 appearances during the 2024-25 campaign, when he averaged 8.7 points and 2.8 assists. Given his extensive injury history, the 30-year-old is expected to have a minimal fantasy impact this season with restricted minutes when healthy.
Toronto Raptors centerJakob Poeltl(back) is unavailable for Wednesday's matchup with the Houston Rockets. Poeltl has been dealing with a back issue since the preseason. He was unable to finish Monday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs due to lower back tightness. Poeltl has disappointed many fantasy managers so far this campaign, posting averages of 6.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 23.0 minutes. With the 30-year-old out of action,Sandro Mamukelashvili will likely start at center, while Collin Murray-Boylescould also see extra minutes on the floor this evening for the Raptors.
Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Sam Merrill(hip) won't play in Wednesday's contest against the Boston Celtics. A right hip contusion has disrupted Merrill's good start to the season. As a regular starter, Merrill has contributed 17.3 points per game this season, shooting a very impressive 5.1.4 percent from downtown on 8.8 attempts. Early in the season, Jaylon Tyson has logged a pair of starts due to Cleveland's injuries, and he may return to the first unit on Wednesday to fill in for Merrill. As a starter, Tyson has notched 6.5 points with 3.0 rebounds, so his productivity hasn't improved much in an expanded role.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ziaire Williams (back) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Due to a lower back contusion, the Nets may have to be without Williams for a second straight game. Williams has notched 10.3 points coming off the Brooklyn bench, but his 25-point performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers has skewed his averages. If Williams isn't available on Wednesday, Tyrese Martin and Jalen Wilson may see increased playing time.
Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (shoulder) is listed as questionable for a meeting with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. The Spaniard is dealing with left shoulder soreness, and his absence would leave Memphis without a solid bench contributor. Over the first four games of the season, Aldama has averaged 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 21.8 minutes. With Zach Edey (ankle) out, Jock Landale has begun the year as Memphis' starting center, and he may have to take on an even larger role in the frontcourt if Aldama has to miss time.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (ankle)is expected to miss two to four weeks of action. The 29-year-old was injured during Sunday's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, leaving the arena in a walking boot. Although X-rays taken after the game were negative, Vincent will have to miss at least a couple of weeks with a left ankle sprain. Vincent began the season as a member of the first unit, but his impact was limited. Over three games, Vincent averaged 3.7 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals. With Marcus Smart (quadriceps) also out on Monday, Jarred Vanderbiltand Jake LaRavia logged their first starts of the season. Meanwhile, Dalton Knecht saw more action off the bench.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart (quadriceps) is considered questionable for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He may have to skip a second straight game due to a right quadriceps contusion. Before his injury, Smart had a significant role in the rotation, averaging 7.7 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in 24.7 minutes per game. Smart's absence on Monday night versus the Portland Trail Blazers allowed Jake LaRavia to start. He struggled with his shot, notching three points, six rebounds, and five assists in 29 minutes. If Smart remains out on Wednesday, LaRavia could get another chance in the first unit, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect too much from him.
Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson (shoulder) carries a questionable tag on the injury report ahead of Wednesday's clash against the New Orleans Pelicans. Johnson made an early exit on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a right shoulder problem, which could now keep him out of his first game of the season on Wednesday night. In Denver, Johnson has had a difficult start, averaging 8.3 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 36.4 percent. If Johnson is deemed unavailable for Wednesday, the Nuggets will likely rely more on Tim Hardaway Jr.and Peyton Watson.
Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson (illness) may miss his first game of the season on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. Thompson is dealing with an illness, and he could join Caris LeVert (hamstring) and Marcus Sasser (hip) on the sidelines. So far this season, Thompson has been Detroit's second-leading scorer, averaging 14.3 points, along with 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. With the current injury situation, Ronald Holland II and Javonte Green will be in line for extra work if the Pistons are without Thompson, LeVert, and Sasser on Wednesday night.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (back) has been listed as doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against the Houston Rockets, meaning he will likely miss his first game of the season. Already during the preseason, Poeltl battled a back issue, and he made an early exit on Monday against the San Antonio Spurs due to lower back tightness. Poeltl has disappointed many fantasy managers early this season, averaging only 6.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 23.0 minutes. It is possible that his struggles are related to his ongoing back problem. If Poeltl is unavailable, Sandro Mamukelashvili may start at center for the Raptors, and Collin Murray-Boyles could also see increased playing time.
