Bryce Harper Sun Jun 23 10:00am ET

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper went 4-for-5 with his 18th home run of the season in Saturday's 12-1 rout of the Diamondbacks. Harper collected three RBI and scored twice in the contest as well. Harper now has a seven-game hit streak going, and has hit safely in 17 of his last 20 contests. The 31-year-old is having another MVP-caliber campaign, posting a .294-18-51-47-4 line with a .401 wOBA and 161 wRC+.

Francisco Alvarez Sun Jun 23 9:40am ET

New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez homered for the second straight game in Saturday's 8-1 loss to the Cubs. The home run accounted for the Mets only run of the ballgame, although Alvarez also doubled and walked in the contest. Alvarez was 2-for-14 (.143) over the first four games off the IL, but since then the 22-year-old is 10-for-19 (.526) over his last five games with two doubles, two home runs, three runs scored, and six RBI. Coming off a 2023 campaign in which he hit 25 home runs, fantasy managers would like to see this power surge keep going. So far he's also lowered his K% from 26.0% to 23.2% and upped his Contact% to 75.3%, so a final BA above last year's .209 seems plausible.

Jameson Taillon Sun Jun 23 9:20am ET

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jameson Taillon pitched seven innings of one-run ball in Saturday's 8-1 victory over the Mets. The 32-year-old allowed just one earned run on six hits and no walks while striking out a season-high 10 batters, picking up his fourth win of the season. It was the veteran's third straight quality start, lowering his ERA to 2.90 (3.82 FIP, 4.29 SIERA) with a 1.27 WHIP and 12.8 K-BB% on the season. We'll see how long he can keep it up as the righty owns a 3.93 career ERA, but it seems limiting the long ball has been key to his success this season as he currently sports a career-low 8.6% HR/FB%, down from 13.4% last season. Taillon will face the Giants on the road next Thursday in his next turn through the rotation.

Oneil Cruz Sun Jun 23 9:10am ET

Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk and his 10th home run of the season, a 445-foot blast into the Allegheny River, in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays. Cruz was batting .295 in June until a 1-for-13 stretch over his last four games, so he's back to hitting just .250 in June. For the season, the 25-year-old owns a .243/.295/.427 slashline. His OBP is so low partly because his BB% is below-average at 6.9%, but his SLG is high because, on the back of an 18.1% Barrel%, they tend to go for extra bases when he hits it. A 32.7% K% and 68.7% Contact% are going to limit his batting average, so hopefully he can keep slugging. Fantasy managers who drafted the Dominican surely were hoping for better than a 99 wRC+ season, however.

Jared Jones Sun Jun 23 8:50am ET

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jared Jones pitched seven innings in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays, allowing two earned runs on just three hits and three walks while striking out eight on his way to picking up his fifth win of the season. He also hit two batters, though, so his command was a bit off. Nevertheless, it was a nice rebound after allowing six earned runs his last time out against the Rockies. The 22-year-old is now 5-6 with a 3.66 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 19.4% K-BB% in 15 starts (86 IP). He'll have a tough test his next time out as he'll face the Braves in Atlanta next Friday.

Wyatt Langford Sun Jun 23 8:30am ET

Texas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with his first career grand slam in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Royals. It was his third consecutive multi-hit game and eighth in June, now hitting .313 (21-for-67) for the month with four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 17 RBI, six runs scored, and six stolen bases in 18 games. The 22-year-old now has two home runs in his last four games, a welcome sign as fantasy managers who drafted him were expecting more pop based on his 70-grade power and after swatting six long balls in 21 spring games this year.

Nick Castellanos Sun Jun 23 7:20am ET

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos had a huge night in his team's 12-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBI to help power the Phillies to the win. The 32-year-old's two-run shot off reliever Scott McGough in the fifth inning traveled 428 feet and had an exit velocity of 106.2 MPH. Castellanos also added a sacrifice fly and a two-run single in the blowout win. Overall, the veteran is hitting .225 with 11 homers, 39 runs, 37 RBI, and one steal over 293 at-bats for the Phillies this season.

Zack Wheeler Sun Jun 23 7:20am ET

Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler was dominant in a 12-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. Wheeler tossed seven innings of one-run ball while allowing just two hits and striking out eight. He picked up the win to improve his record to 9-4, to go along with a 2.73 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 107 strikeouts over 99 innings of work spanning 16 starts this season. Wheeler appears lined up to make his next start against a struggling Miami Marlins lineup next week. He will be a must-start for that favorable matchup.

    From RotoBaller

    Tyler O'Neill Sun Jun 23 7:11am ET

Boston Red Sox's RF Tyler O'Neill had a slash line of .294/.400/.941 going 5-for-17 with 3 RBIs in five games this week. O'Neill is owned in 63.5% of mixed leagues.

Dominic Canzone Sun Jun 23 7:10am ET

Seattle Mariners outfielder Dominic Canzone had a big night in a 9-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Canzone went 4-for-5 with a homer, three runs, and two RBI to help lead the Mariners to victory. The 26-year-old outfielder is now hitting .234 with seven homers, 13 runs, 14 RBI, and a stolen base across 107 at-bats for the Mariners in 2024. He is starting to pick it up of late, hitting .325 with two homers over his past 15 contests. Canzone isn't a must-roster in fantasy leagues at the moment but he's worth monitoring as a potential waiver claim thanks to his recent hot hitting.

    From RotoBaller

Steven Kwan Sun Jun 23 7:10am ET

Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan continued his recent hot hitting in a 6-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. Kwan went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer to help power the Guardians to their second consecutive win over Toronto. The 26-year-old's solo shot came off Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios in the fifth inning, giving Cleveland a 5-2 lead. Kwan's homer tied his previous career high of six, which he set back in his rookie year in 2022. Overall, Kwan is hitting .390 with 12 doubles, six homers, 45 runs, 22 RBI, and three steals across 195 at-bats for the AL Central-leading Guardians.

    From RotoBaller

Brendan Donovan Sun Jun 23 7:03am ET

St. Louis' 2B Brendan Donovan scored 30.0 fantasy points going 10-for-22 with three home runs and eight RBIs in five games this week. Donovan is owned only in 19.6% of mixed leagues.

Logan Gilbert Sun Jun 23 7:00am ET

Seattle Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert cruised to an easy 9-0 win over the Miami Marlins on Saturday. Gilbert tossed eight shutout innings, allowing just four hits, walking one, and striking out six in the start while needing just 92 pitches. The win improves Gilbert's record to 5-4, to go along with a 2.71 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 99 strikeouts over 106 1/3 innings of work. Gilbert continues to be a rock-solid fantasy starting pitcher and should remain in starting lineups for his next start, which comes against the Minnesota Twins on Friday.

    From RotoBaller

Nick Castellanos Sun Jun 23 6:55am ET

Philadelphia Phillies' RF Nick Castellanos scored 29.0 fantasy points going 10-for-19 with two home runs and seven RBIs in five games this week. Castellanos is owned in 71.0% of mixed leagues.

Elly De La Cruz Sun Jun 23 6:40am ET

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz posted three hits in a 4-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo homer but was caught stealing in his team's loss to Boston. The solo homer came off Boston starter Nick Pivetta in the third inning and traveled 407 feet with an exit velocity of 104.3 MPH. De La Cruz is putting together a productive sophomore season for the Reds, hitting .240 with 13 homers, 48 runs, 32 RBI, and 37 steals across 279 at-bats. While his batting average is a little rough, De La Cruz brings a dangerous power/speed element to the game, keeping his fantasy value high.
