Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and five RBI on Monday night, but it wasn't quite enough to push his team to the win. The Marlins scored a pair of runs in the ninth off Daniel Palencia to spoil Amaya's big game, but the catcher's performance was still encouraging for his fantasy managers. Amaya had a home run and a double for six total bases and now has 25 RBI in his 25 games. He's hitting .287 with a .241 ISO and .364 wOBA. The 26-year-old righty continues to split time behind the plate with veteran Carson Kelly, but he has made the most of his opportunities and can be a DFS or streaming option whenever he is in the lineup. If he gets more playing time as the season progresses, he'll also be worth a look in mixed leagues.

Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez had the biggest hit of the game in his team's 5-1 victory over the White Sox in Chicago. He hit his eighth homer of the year in the eighth inning with the bases loaded off White Sox left-handed relief pitcher Cam Booser. Rodriguez's blast opened up a 5-0 lead and proved to be the difference in the game after the Sox scored a run in the ninth. Rodriguez is still hitting only .235 on the season with a .319 wOBA and five stolen bases. He has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, though, with a .314 batting average, .363 wOBA, and 41.9% hard-hit rate over that span. While his stolen base production has been a disappointment this season, Rodriguez is still a key contributor for Seattle and brings a high ceiling with plenty of power potential on a nightly basis.

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop/outfielder Mookie Betts had a pair of solo home runs on Monday night, but his production wasn't enough against Arizona as the Dodgers dropped their fourth straight game. Betts hit solo home runs in the fourth inning and the sixth inning off Brandon Pfaadt, and finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI. Betts is batting .263 on the season and now has eight home runs to go with five stolen bases and a .350 wOBA in his 45 games. This was his second multi-homer game of the season, and he has a history of producing big games like this when he's in the groove. After going just 3-for-20 with two stolen bases last week against the Athletics and Angels, Monday's performance is a good sign that he could be starting to turn things around.

Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 9-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. Harper, who picked up two singles and added a sacrifice fly, has driven in 28 runs and slashed a solidly above-average .263/.376/.440 over 210 plate appearances in 2025. A look under the hood indicates even better numbers lie ahead for the 32-year-old Harper, whose xBA (.286), xSLG (.508), and xwOBA (.389) are all far superior to his actual output thus far. Harper has a favorable matchup at hitter-friendly Coors Field Tuesday versus struggling right-hander Antonio Senzatela, against whom he has gone 5-for-15 with two homers, a double, three RBI, and 3:3 K:BB.

Athletics designated hitter/outfielder Brent Rooker snapped a seven-game RBI drought in the team's 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Rooker delivered a fifth-inning RBI single, his lone hit during a 1-for-2, two-walk performance. While Rooker had a productive night overall, the standout slugger has now gone eight straight games without a home run and has connected for only two in May after mashing seven in April. As a result of his May woes, Rooker is hitting a disappointing .241/.310/.445 over 210 plate appearances on the season. That's a far cry from the .293/.365/.562 line he put up last year, when he set career highs in homers (39) and RBI (112). The good news is that Rooker's xBA (.282), xSLG (.543), and xwOBA (.380) all suggest positive regression is on the way. He'll match up Tuesday against Angels right-hander Kyle Hendricks, who has yielded a homer in seven of eight starts this year.

Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler reached base twice and recorded his seventh steal of the season in Monday's 4-3 defeat against the Los Angeles Angels. Butler went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, and a run scored, marking just the second time in May he has tallied a hit in three straight games. The 24-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2024 and got off to a productive start this season over the first month of the campaign, but his output has nosedived in May. Including Monday's showing, Butler has gone 11-for-62 with six extra-base hits (five doubles, home run), seven RBI, three runs scored, two steals, and 19:4 K:BB this month. Most of Butler's struggles have come against left-handed pitchers (slashing .128/.171/.231 vs. LHP), but he'll face a righty - the Angels' Kyle Hendricks - on Tuesday. Despite his struggles in May, fantasy managers should continue to roll with Butler in all leagues.

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Sonny Gray tossed six scoreless innings in Monday's 11-4 win against the Detroit Tigers. The veteran right-hander scattered three hits (one double), issued one walk, and punched out ten batters to earn his fifth win (5-1) and fifth quality start. Gray was excellent, firing 59 of 90 pitches in for strikes (13 whiffs) and reaching double-digit strikeouts for the first time in 2025. It's a nice rebound for him after he allowed eight hits and seven earned runs against the Phillies the last time he toed the rubber. He's now sandwiched one dreadful start in between two six-plus inning scoreless ones, making it difficult to know precisely which version of him we'll get from one appearance to the next. He'll bring a 4.02 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and a 61:13 K:BB ratio (56 innings) into his next outing -- a home date with the Arizona Diamondbacks later this week.

Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a single in Monday's 3-1 win against the San Francisco Giants. The Virginia native broke a scoreless tie in the top of the eighth inning, driving a Tyler Rogers second-pitch slider 399 feet over the right-field wall. Pasquantino has a hit in four straight contests, and has been much better of late, with a .292 average in 72 May at-bats. It's a massive turnaround from the dismal performance he exhibited in April (.172), and the recent stretch has brought his batting average up to .228, to go along with eight home runs, five doubles, 28 RBI, and 17 runs scored. It's nice to see him starting to heat up, but his strikeout rate is inflated quite a bit from his career normal (18.7%), and his walk percentage has declined for a third straight season (5.6%).

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Kris Bubic tossed seven scoreless innings in Monday's 3-1 win over the San Francisco Giants. He allowed two hits, issued three free passes, and struck out five, improving to 5-2. The Stanford product was dealing in this one, cruising through 5 2/3 scoreless -- and hitless -- before second baseman Michael Massey let a Wilmer Flores grounder slip through the infield. For what it's worth, it initially appeared to be an error, but it was not ruled as such. Still, it was another excellent outing for Bubic, who has yielded one earned run or fewer in four straight starts and five of his last six. He'll boast a minuscule 1.47 ERA and 1.06 WHIP (61 1/3 innings) into his next outing, which projects to come this weekend on the road against the Minnesota Twins.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras was a perfect 4-for-4 in Monday's 5-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He singled and doubled twice, while driving in two runs, drawing a walk, and stealing a base -- his fifth of the season. The 27-year-old did not cross the plate himself, but his last hit was critical in Milwaukee's victory. Contreras came up to bat after teammate Brice Turang walked himself to first and delivered a clutch single off Yennier Cano to drive him home and score the go-ahead run. His other RBI also involved Turang, who scored courtesy of a double in the bottom of the fifth. The right-handed backstop hasn't been as effective as he was in 2024, particularly in terms of quality of contact. However, it's worth noting he's been playing with a fractured middle finger on his left hand.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Robbie Ray had another nice outing in Monday'3-1 loss to the Royals. Ray pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. However, the Giants faced a tough opponent in Kris Bubic and were unable to provide much run support. The 33-year-old has now tossed five consecutive quality starts and is 6-0 with a 2.67 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, a 9.73 K/9 rate, and a 4.24 BB/9 rate in 10 starts and 57 1/3 IP. Ray has also not allowed contact in the air as much as in previous seasons, dropping his HR/9 rate to 0.78, which is much lower than his career 1.37 mark. He should have a decent chance to continue to put up solid numbers in his next scheduled start, which will be at the Nationals.

Houston Astros outfielder Jake Meyers showed off power and speed in Monday's 4-3 win over the Rays. Meyers went 2-for-3 with a single, a solo home run, a walk, and a stolen base. The 28-year-old took a seventh-inning Manuel Rodriguez fastball over the right-field wall for what would end up being the winning run. Meyers has quietly compiled a solid season so far, slashing .301/.368/.426 with three HR, 15 RBI, and eight stolen bases in 154 plate appearances. He may not get a ton of runs or RBI hitting towards the bottom of the Astros' lineup, but he is worth a look in at least all deep roto leagues, given his success so far.

Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber had a historic night in Monday's 9-3 win over the Rockies. Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, and two strikeouts. The 32-year-old obliterated a ninth-inning Scott Alexander sinker, sending it 466 feet off of the right-field upper-deck facing for the 300th long ball of his career. Schwarber has been an elite source of power throughout his fantasy career, and 2025 has been no different. He is now slashing .257/.389/.573 with 16 HR, 36 RBI, and four stolen bases in 208 plate appearances. He is currently second in baseball in HR and has a decent batting average to go with it, with a bonus of some surprise stolen bases.

Houston Astros closer Josh Hader picked up his 12th save of the season in Monday's 4-3 win over the Rays. Hader came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one. The leadoff hitter reached on an error, and the first out occurred on a groundout, with the runner advancing to second. The tying run advanced to third on a stolen base, but Hader left that runner stranded by getting the next two hitters out on a bunt pop-up and a foul pop-up. The 31-year-old has converted all of his save opportunities this season with a 1.71 ERA, a 0.81 WHIP, a 12.43 K/9 rate, and a 2.14 BB/9 rate in 21 innings of work. Hader has been one of fantasy's most reliable sources of saves throughout his career, but walks and home runs have been issues at times. Fortunately, everything seems to be clicking for him in 2025.

Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop prospect Konnor Griffin stayed hot over the weekend, going 4-for-9 with a double, four RBI, and two stolen bases between Saturday and Sunday's games for Single-A Bradenton. The Pirates' second-ranked prospect is now riding a nine-game hit streak and has pushed his season-long slash line to .324/.373/.547 with seven home runs and 17 stolen bases through only 33 games. In the 2024 first-rounder's first taste of professional ball this year, the strikeouts were a concern, logging a 29.9 percent K% through his first 25 games, however, that has gone down to 13.5 percent over his last eight games, so he looks to be settling in. The 6-foot-4 slugger will be at High-A sooner rather than later, and will find himself as the Pirates' top prospect by season's end after Bubba Chandler's eventual graduation; he should find himself within the top 25 in all of baseball as well.

New York Yankees right-hander Luis Gil (lat) is till on track in his throwing program, according to manager Aaron Boone, and he's targeting a return to the mound in two to three weeks. Gil suffered a strained right lat during a bullpen session in spring training in Tampa on Feb. 28 and has was placed on the 60-day injured list on March 24 before the start of the regular season. Even if the 26-year-old doesn't suffer any setbacks as he continues to ramp up is right arm, he may not be able to make his 2025 debut until July. It's been a disappointing development so far this year for Gil, who was named the American League Rookie of the Year in 2024 after going 15-7 with a 3.50 ERA (4.14 FIP) and 1.19 WHIP with 171 strikeouts and a league-high 77 walks in 151 2/3 innings over 29 regular-season starts. If he doesn't lower his walk rate when he returns, it could be rough sledding for Gil.

Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell said that right-handed reliever Porter Hodge (oblique) will land on the 15-day injured list with a left-oblique injury. Hodge hasn't appeared out of Chicago's bullpen since throwing a scoreless inning against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday, and now he'll miss at least the next two weeks of action. Before his injury, the 24-year-old had settled in as the team's co-closer alongside veteran righty Ryan Pressly. With Hodge now on the shelf, fantasy managers should expect Pressly to see most, if not all, of the save opportunities in the immediate future. In his second MLB season, Hodge has produced a bloated 5.12 ERA (4.17 FIP), a 1.50 WHIP, two saves, 11 walks and 19 strikeouts over 19 1/3 relief innings in 21 appearances.
