Washington Nationals prospect Seaver King has been back healthy and playing at Triple-A Rochester since July 30, trying to make a case for a late-season promotion to Washington. King missed almost all of July with a left oblique strain and has a homer and four RBI since his return to Rochester. King has a 70-grade run tool and a 50-grade hit tool as he could mix hitting and speed on the base paths. He has nine stolen bases this year in his injury-plagued season. He is the No. 4 prospect for the Nationals and might be more likely to make his MLB debut in 2027 after struggling with injuries this year. He is looking like a dynasty league stash but someone who is better left on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues. An injury free opportunity next season might be well worth it for the talented 23-year-old out of Wake Forest.

Cleveland Guardians prospect Cooper Ingle is having a productive August so far at Triple-A Columbus after receiving a big-league opportunity earlier this season. In seven August games, Ingle has two homers and nine RBI with eight runs scored. The catcher/outfielder is heating up again at Triple-A and could force his way back to the majors before the end of this season. Ingle had 21 at bats in Cleveland and had two RBI while hitting just .095 after recording just two big-league hits. However, Cleveland's No. 3 prospect with a 55-grade hit tool has 18 homers and 61 RBI at Triple-A this season with a .313 batting average, making a case for another ticket back to Cleveland. The Guardians fourth-round draft pick in 2023, Ingle has the versatility to play catcher or in the outfield and has been hitting enough to warrant another look on fantasy rosters.

Cleveland Guardians prospect Ralphy Velazquez is hitting with power to begin August with four homers and seven RBI in six games this month. Velazquez, at age 21, has split time between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus this season with 17 homers combined to go with 61 RBI and 53 runs scored while hitting .277 between both levels. Velazquez is the Guardians top ranked prospect and has been given a 60-grade ranking for power with a 50-grade hit tool. The left-handed hitter has the ability to play first base or outfield and is looking at a potential late-season promotion to Cleveland. Cleveland recently acquired Nathaniel Lowe at first base, but the team could use the power profile of Velazquez this season and his recent power surge is proof that he is worth hanging onto in fantasy.

Colorado Rockies prospect Zac Veen is coming off one of the most productive games of the minor league season at Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday with three homers and seven RBI in a five-hit effort. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting .325 at Albuquerque this year with 24 homers and 87 RBI to go with 80 runs scored and 18 stolen bases. The 2020 first-round pick is producing on all levels this season and is looking like a future five-category fantasy contributor. The left-handed hitter is the No. 7 prospect in the Rockies' system and is looking like a must add as a stash candidate for the rest of this season. He has a 55-grade run tool with a 50-grade hit tool. He could be called up at any time and is ready to reward fantasy managers who take a shot on him the rest of the way.

New York Yankees pitching prospect Elmer Rodriguez has pitched efficiently all year at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and is looking for a second shot to pitch for the Yankees at the big league level this season. At Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Rodriguez is 7-3 with a 2.85 ERA in 17 starts. He has 87 strikeouts in 85 1/3 innings pitched with a 1.32 WHIP. He is 0-2 in four starts with the Yankees this season with nine earned runs in 19 innings. He has 10 strikeout with 11 walks. The 22-year-old right-hander is the No. 3 prospect in the Yankees system with a 60-grade fastball and three 55-grade secondary pitches in his curve ball, slider, and splitter. New York Mets rookie outfielder Carson Benge (wrist) is starting in right field and will hit cleanup for the Mets in Sunday's series finale against the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Jared Jones, according to MLB.com. Benge jammed his left wrist while making a catch against the outfield wall on Friday at PNC Park and was held out of the lineup on Saturday, but he's back on Sunday and should be returned to starting lineups where he's rostered. The 23-year-old former 19th overall pick from Oklahoma State University has been one of the pleasant surprises for the Mets in another disappointing season, slashing .270/.330/.412 with a .742 OPS, 13 home runs, 46 RBI, 18 stolen bases, and 61 runs scored in his first 422 at-bats in the major leagues. Benge has been seeing the ball well lately, too, going 15-for-39 (.385) with a 1.041 OPS, two home runs, two doubles, a triple, six RBI, seven runs scored, and two steals in his last 10 games, dating back to July 29. He probably deserves to be rostered in more than half of Yahoo leagues.

Detroit Tigers prospect Max Anderson has started off August nicely with one homer and two RBI in seven games this month while hitting .435 at Triple-A Toledo. The infielder has had a solid season between two levels of the minors this year, hitting .314 with 14 homers and 45 RBI in 299 at bats with 51 runs scored. He was out at the beginning of the year due to injury and made a few rehab starts with Lakeland. Anderson is the No. 9 prospect in the Tigers system after playing his college ball at Nebraska. He boasts a 50-grade hit tool with 50-grade power. The Tigers are getting healthier at the major league level, but Anderson could still factor into their decision making this season with the ability to play second or third base. Anderson is a name to watch on the waiver wire and stash away for the end of this season should he get called up for his debut.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu (calf) is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third for the Red Sox in Sunday's series finale against the visiting Athletics and right-hander J.T. Seattle Mariners first baseman Josh Naylor broke out of a little 0-for-9 mini-slump in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at T-Mobile Park by going 3-for-4 at the plate with two solo home runs to boost his season batting average to .262 and his OPS to .699. Naylor had been in a little funk offensively over his previous three games, but since the All-Star break, he has hit .311 (23-for-74) with an .830 OPS, two home runs, five doubles, six RBI, nine runs scored, and five stolen bases in 20 games and 81 plate appearances. The 29-year-old left-handed slugger hit a career-high 31 home runs in 2024 with the Cleveland Guardians before falling to 20 homers last year with Seattle and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Naylor is sitting at just 10 round-trippers this year after his two-homer game on Saturday as he continues to see a decline in the power department. He's making up for it with his speed, which is rare for a first baseman, as he currently sits with 23 steals (eight away from a new career high). He's now slashing .262/.326/.372 with a .699 OPS and is more of a threat for his wheels than his power.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Jake McCarthy put on a show in the team's 8-6 victory over the hosting St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday night, going 4-for-5 at the plate out of the leadoff spot with two home runs, three RBI, four runs scored, and two stolen bases.
