My thoughts and prayers go out to you Jim, your mother, sister and family. Thorough all the years, Dan made the effort to stay a good friend to me and all of his fantasy football buddies and for that I, all of us, will be forever grateful. I will never forget the looks he would give me, peering over his glasses which he did more for effect than sight and his wry wit. A servant who will be immediately welcomed into the Kingdom. Losing a family member can be devastating. Losing a friend, like Dan Sloan, as he was to all of us, has equal sorrow. Like all of you, I am terribly saddened by the news of his passing. What a grand guy he was and will always be remembered as such. To me he was the Bomber and was always prepared to give me a good dusting in our Fantasy lives. It has become a very empty season now. I share Romans 12:12 with all of you.
I am stunned by this news! Dan was a true definition of a friend, family leader, patriot and AWFFL Legend! To his family and friends my thoughts and prayers are with all of you! You will be missed my friend but every joke I hear, and every football game played will bring your memories to me and all of our years we have spent together!
Simply stunned by the passing of Dan Sloan... A great guy with a great sense of humor -- there was a time when I beat him fairly consistently and he thought about changing his team name to Sandy's Bitch. He actually went through a phase of changing his name regularly, thus upsetting our official stat keeper. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Dan's soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
