Jay,
I do recall a dispute in the early years. I think it was over a trade or something but i don't think that was the reason for the logo adoption by Jeff. I also think the logo originally belonged to Vega$ Gambler$. He played several years and he utilized the $ in his team name so... makes sense. Money Moves only played one season with us and had an 11-1 record going into the Playoff's. He lost in the semi final game and was very disgruntled if memory serves me.

Looking back now, I did have one good year in 2007. I went 11-1 and lost in the Semi's. Towards the end I had a 2-10 season and followed it up with a 1-11 season. I think that was when the frustration set in. Looks like I left one year too early. My replacement took a 6-6 team into the playoffs, got hot, and won it all. See Chad, there is always hope for you to win a Title some day.

I think it is so cool, Rich, that you honor Jeff's memory by continuing his logo.

However, I must note, and I may be misremembering...but wasn't that revolving dollar sign originally the logo of another team, I think...like Vegas Gamblers? (Or perhaps Money Moves?) that Jeff adopted in honor of them after they left the league over some dispute (the details escape me after 20+ years).

League mates,

In honor of our passed league mate, I will continue to display his logo for the 2026 season. It is the least I can do to honor his legacy within this league, and the many friendships he built through playing the game we all love. Jeff was a great fantasy player and I had the pleasure of playing with him here for fourteen seasons. He won the inaugural season in 2003, I won the Toilet Bowl that year. He again won in 2023, twenty years later.

League mates,

In honor of our passed league mate, I will continue to display his logo for the 2026 season. That inaugural season was also the year I made the mistake of taking odds bets on who would win the Title. Naptown took the odds on Old Gridiron winning it all and I had to pay him like $500 bucks. I never made that mistake again, and shortly thereafter, I invoked the no betting league policy that is probable still in the League By-Laws today, lol...

Fourteen years, I really donated that many years???? Wow! The irony in the whole thing is, the owner that took over my team won the dam Title his first season running my squad... Now I know how Tony Dungy felt...

Well, welcome back Rich!! The 100 year old granny here at the "Old age home", asks about you. Don't worry, the test was negative, so no Child support for you to worry about! But, all-in-all great to have you back!! 😁

Good point, Chad, lol. 😄

Although I don't want to press my luck on a 3rd Championship meeting.

Look at the names on that list of Fantasy OG's. Jack Dutton, that guy is still playing? Do they even have computers at the old age home?

That's why he brought his son on board. He now has to run everything over to the home and help him out!
