It’s a friendly league, and never want it to make it a ridiculously competitive. We are in different time zones (and countries) and have varying degrees of free time to play this silly game. And would like to keep it that way for 44 more years.
But …if I’m going to invest $400 to play a game, at least make some effort to make it appear we on a equal playing field. Not saying anything will (and has) breed bitterness. Then don’t tell us later on you bend the rules because you felt like it.
We have always been grateful that you take on the thankless job of being the commissioner. You take time out of your busy days to deal with this motley crew of Sunday addicts. We( or I) just ask to keep the communication open. If something is awry, at least address it in an e-mail or something. Not asking to crack the whip. Just let us know why you bent the rules.
Otherwise, I will do everything in my power to exploit it and take everyone’s money. Except Holly’s. I can’t stop Malik Nabors.
P.S. We had discussed this quite a few years ago. Allowing transactions that had missed deadlines. I believe this was the agreed resolution, letting those transactions go last so that everyone still got a chance to draft.
Enabler here. Yes, for the sake of peace and harmony, I have allowed some bending of the rules. Sometimes I get an email for pick-ups at Thursday 1 or 2 am and not midnight. We're not all in the same time zone. Sometimes someone thought they posted a player on the message board but "forgot". We all have lives and are busy. I get it.
But let's be clear. Those people who don't follow the rules DON'T get to pick in the order they normally would. I allow them to still complete their transactions, AFTER all the rule followers have gotten their free agent picks. I do this primarily so there is more money in the final kitty. And secondarily so that even when a team is having a shitty year, they don't get too discouraged and might have some hope of having a good week at some point.
If you all would prefer that I be a hard-ass and follow the rules to the letter, I will be happy to do so. But think about it. Have you ever been the beneficiary of me bending the rules for you? Stones, glass houses, etc.

Tuesday = list all potential drops. Doesn't matter if it's your whole roster and you don't actually intend to drop them. The rule is list all potential drops on Tuesday.
Then...
Wednesday = email Kat your list of drops and players you want to add. You may only ask Kat to drop players that you posted on the message board on Tuesday. If they were not posted Tuesday, you can not drop them.
This rule has been abused all season by multiple teams, and Kat has enabled the rule abusers by awarding them players. So I guess the rule is no longer in play so let's just forget about add drop rules altogether. Disregard this message. 11th place rage!
