Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is reportedly having promising contract talks with the team, according to owner and general manager Jerry Jones. Lamb has been holding out during the preseason and training camp as he seeks a contract extension. Lamb finished 2023 with 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on a league-leading 135 receptions. He is fully worth a top-of-the-market wide receiver extension. The Cowboys are cutting contract negotiations dangerously close to the regular season. All Cowboys fans and fantasy managers can do is hope that the two sides can come to an agreement in the next few weeks.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb declined the latest contract offer from the team. The Cowboys and Lamb's representation met on Thursday, where he was reportedly offered $33 million per season. However, the wideout wasn't satisfied, considering Justin Jefferson would still earn more annually. But Dallas needs to get something done soon or risk Lamb missing time. With that said, he's certainly proven he deserves top money after amassing 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns off 135 catches last season. There will be more on this situation. Yet, it's likely Lamb won't sign anything until he becomes the highest-earning receiver in the National Football League.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb's representatives met with the team on Thursday to discuss a new contract. The star wide receiver has been holding out of training camp as he is seeking a new contract. According to USA Today, the Cowboys presented their former first-round selection a contract slightly under $33 million, which would make Lamb the second highest-paid receiver in the sport, only behind Minnesota's Justin Jefferson. While it is still not known what figures the former Oklahoma product is seeking, this is a good sign nonetheless, as both sides are clearly making progress. CeeDee Lamb enjoyed the best season of his career last fall as he caught 1,749 receiving yards, which placed him second in the league. In addition, he scored 12 touchdowns and caught a league-leading 135 receptions. Lamb is worth selecting in the first picks of your fantasy draft given the pure volume he will see in the Dallas offense.

The Dallas Cowboys are still negotiating with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, but a deal remains elusive. Despite over a year of discussions, the Cowboys' best contract offer has yet to reach Lamb's desired figure of nearly $35 million annually, in line with the Vikings' Justin Jefferson, the NFL's highest-paid non-quarterback. Lamb is not seeking to surpass Jefferson's salary, as acknowledged by Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones. Last season, Lamb played on a base salary of $2.52 million and will earn $17.991 million this year under the fifth-year option. He had a standout year in 2023, leading the league with 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns and earning his first All-Pro selection.

The Dallas Cowboys consider themselves further long on a new deal with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb than with quarterback Dak Prescott. Multiple sources believe a Lamb extension will get done, possibly soon. The team has been talking to Lamb's agent, Tory Dandy, and Lamb's stance is clear: His numbers and the market speak clearly. The Cowboys know it will have to be $30-plus million annually. Meanwhile, Dallas' conversations with Prescott's agent, Todd France, are ongoing. Although a deal isn't considered close, the Cowboys think they are in a better place than they were this offseason. Owner Jerry Jones made news late this week by saying the team is in no rush to extend Lamb, but the reality is the Cowboys need the 25-year-old pass-catcher on the field sooner than later so that he's in midseason form for the start of the 2024 regular season.

Aug 8 9:50pm ET

When asked about contract talks regarding star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb on Thursday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn't "have any urgency to get it done." This standoffish stance paints a drastically different picture than Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones did just two weeks back when he said a new offer had been sent and conversations were good. It's an interesting development for Dallas, as Lamb has missed voluntary workouts and mandatory minicamp and is yet to attend training camp despite being subject to fines. Jones' comments swiftly made their way to the Cowboys' fifth-year wideout, and his response was a wry "lol." Even Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said, "I got urgency for it to happen." It would appear there is some turmoil in Dallas -- at least for the time being -- and while it is likely that Lamb ends his holdout at some point before the season, there is some risk here as he has yet to participate in any football action. The University of Oklahoma alum is currently the second pick off the boards in NFFC ADP as the 1.02 behind running back Christian McCaffrey.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report List by the Cowboys on Tuesday. The move creates roster space to allow the Cowboys flexibility while Lamb holds out. Lamb and the Cowboys have been in contract negotiations that have caused Lamb to hold out in protest of the lack of a deal. Lamb is coming off a career year in which he caught 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Fantasy managers should monitor the situation to see how long it may actually drag out. Despite holding out, Lamb is a surefire top-three pick heading into upcoming fantasy drafts.

According to Dallas Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was sent a new contract offer on Friday. It appears things are moving in a promising direction, with Jones acknowledging that conversations between both parties have been positive. Lamb is entering the final year of his rookie deal and hasn't reported to training camp. But with Lamb coming off a 135-catch, 1,749-yard, 12-touchdown season, it is in the Cowboys' best interest to get him to sign on the dotted line as soon as possible. With that said, the wideout's fantasy value won't take a hit unless this situation extends for at least a few more weeks.

Dynasty | Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb won't report to minicamp. Dynasty Analysis: As expected. Lamb is in search of a contract that will make him one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league and has dug in his heels. Dallas is stuck at this point as they're going to have to find a way to get him an extension without sacrificing their future too much. Such is life in the NFL after rookie contracts expire. Lamb is in line to be the top receiver in fantasy this next season and he's fully expected to be in uniform on opening day one way or another.

Jul 23 9:10pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not expected to report to Dallas Cowboys training camp when it opens on Wednesday in Oxnard, CA. With the 25-year-old Lamb entering the final season of a deal that will pay him just shy of $18 million in 2024 under his fifth-year option, Lamb is looking for a long-term contract to secure him as one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL. The concern is minimal for fantasy managers unless the holdout extends deeper into July and into August, but Lamb firmly remains an early-first-round wide receiver in fantasy this season after setting career bests in targets (181), receptions (135), receiving yards (1,749), and touchdowns (12) in 2023.

Jul 20 9:40pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not expected to report to training camp in Oxnard, California, without a contract extension. For this reason, the Cowboys have made it a priority to get things done. The wideout is coming off a stellar year, finishing the 2023-24 campaign by amassing career-highs in receptions (135), targets (181), receiving yards (1,749), and touchdowns (12). He is due to make nearly $18 million in 2024-25. But with other receivers like Justin Jefferson and A.J. Brown getting new contracts this offseason, Lamb wants to be paid accordingly. Assuming the 25-year-old reports to training camp and is ready for Week 1, he's expected to be one of the top fantasy producers this season.

Dynasty | Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is apparently not going to attend training camp without a new contract. Dynasty Analysis: Lamb has spent the Spring watching receivers get paid and now he wants his piece of the pie. That piece is going to be a two-plater as Lamb comes off a career-best 135/1,749/12 monster season. Dallas has little choice but to pay him and any trade rumors have been quickly shot down. Look for Lamb to eventually get his new deal. At this point, there's little to worry about a player many believe could be dynasty's greatest asset.

Jun 21 4:30pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb did not report to mandatory minicamp this month, and there's a chance he will hold out from all team activities until he reaches a new deal. However, Saad Yousuf of the Athletic believes Lamb could be extended before training camp. "Of the three contracts in question for the Cowboys, Lamb's is the most likely to get done before training camp," Yousuf wrote. "There are the least amount of questions with Lamb. There could be some discussion about a wide receiver's value if there's uncertainty for the future at quarterback, but Lamb will be an asset for years to come, whether it's for Prescott or his successor." This offseason, Justin Jefferson ($35 million APY), A.J. Brown ($32 million) Amon-Ra St. Brown ($30 million), and Jaylen Waddle ($28.25 million) all signed lucrative deals, and Lamb will likely be close to Jefferson's deal when the dust settles. The former first-round pick posted 135 receptions for 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 2023 and is one of the best pass-catchers in the league. He is the popular pick to be the first wide receiver drafted in 2024 fantasy football.

Jun 4 10:30am ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has not been spotted for the team's mandatory minicamp, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Lamb was also absent for voluntary OTAs, but his absence from mandatory team activities subjects him to fines. The 25-year-old is seeking a contract extension. Wide receivers Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra. St Brown, and Jaylen Waddle all signed deals this offseason that come with an average salary of at least $28.25 million. Meanwhile, DeVonta Smith, Nico Collins, Michael Pittman Jr., and Calvin Ridley also signed high-dollar contracts. After Lamb caught a league-leading 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023, he's likely to surpass the 30 million dollar salary range when he is ultimately extended. His early absence this offseason is not ideal, but it should not concern fantasy managers about his 2024 season availability yet. Lamb is in consideration for the No. 1 overall pick in fantasy football this year, especially in PPR setups.

Jun 3 2:10pm ET

According to sources, contract talks between the Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb are expected to "speed up" beyond its previous pace since "there's at least a number" with the announcement of Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson's record-setting, non-quarterback contract extension on Monday. Jefferson inked a four-year, $140 million extension with the Vikes. Lamb hasn't been in attendance at any of the team's voluntary organized team activities this offseason as he seeks a new contract, which he should get before the start of the 2024 regular season. The 25-year-old led the NFL with 135 receptions last year and went for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns, making him an elite, high-end WR1 target for fantasy managers this fall.

May 20 8:30pm ET

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not expected to attend OTAs, which will commence on Tuesday. This isn't anything new, although the latest report indicates things seemingly haven't changed regarding Lamb's desire for a new deal. He's due to make nearly $18 million in 2024-25 on his fifth-year option. However, as expected, Lamb wants to be one of the league's highest-paid wideouts. The 25-year-old was a top contributor throughout the 2023-24 campaign, finishing with 135 receptions (181 targets) for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. He's anticipated to be one of the first fantasy options taken in drafts heading into the new season. But that could change if Lamb doesn't get what he wants, especially if it means he doesn't show up for training camp in July.

Apr 16 3:13pm ET

Dynasty | Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is not attending the latest series of voluntary workouts. Dynasty Analysis: This really isn't much of a story as few expected Lamb to be around until he gets a contract extension. He's entering the last year of his deal and is inevitably going to be one of the league's highest paid players after a 135/1,749/12 season. Lamb is quickly putting some heat on players like Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson to be the overall WR1. Dynasty managers shouldn't be concerned until the season draws closer.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Apr 15 2:20pm ET

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb isn't expected to attend the start of the team's voluntary offseason program on Monday while he awaits a new contract to replace the one that is scheduled to pay him a fully guaranteed $17.199 million for his upcoming fifth-year option season. The 25-year-old All-Pro is seeking a new long-term deal after finishing as the WR1 in overall half-PPR points last year. Lamb caught 135 of his 181 targets for 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 regular-season games. He expects to be playing for the Cowboys this fall, but a holdout into training camp this summer could be realistic if the two sides haven't worked anything out by then. Contract issues aside, fantasy managers should consider Lamb a high-end, elite WR1 in drafts this fall.

Apr 13 9:10pm ET

According to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have yet to have "substantial talks" regarding a new contract. The wideout is slotted to make nearly $18 million on his fifth-year option. Training camp will be here soon, meaning a holdout could be on the horizon if a new deal isn't done. In the meantime, there's also a chance Lamb won't participate in any of the Cowboys' team activities in the next couple of months. With that said, the 25-year-old is a proven pass-catcher. He had a fantastic season in 2023-24, finishing with 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns off 135 catches, all career-highs. Although Lamb is expected to remain a first-round fantasy option, that may change if an agreement isn't reached shortly, especially if it means Lamb might miss a few games to begin the year.

From RotoBaller

Apr 8 2:10pm ET

The Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken suggests that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb could be absent from offseason workouts this month as he seeks a new long-term contract from the team. If the two sides don't come to an agreement on a new deal this offseason, Lamb is in line to play the 2024 campaign on his fifth-year option, which would pay him $17.99 million. Holding out wouldn't start costing the 25-year-old until June, but it could happen. Fantasy football managers probably won't be concerned unless Lamb isn't present during training camp this summer. He's made the Pro Bowl each of the last three seasons and was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 after setting career-highs in catches (135), targets (181), receiving yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12) in 17 regular-season starts. Lamb is a no-doubt WR1 in fantasy.
