Dynasty | Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 13-of-21 passes for 161 yards with one touchdown and one interception in New York's MNF loss to the 49ers. Dynasty Analysis: Rodgers and the offense had little chance to be successful as San Francisco carved up the Jets defense en route to a 39:21 advantage in time of possession. When the Jets did have the ball, Rodgers looked like his old self in terms of arm strength and accuracy, though he did look a little out of sorts at time. There's no need to panic as better days are surely ahead for this group. Rodgers himself is a habitual slow starter, so the story here is him simply making it through the game healthy. He remains a low-end QB1 at the moment.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 13 of his 21 passes for 167 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in a 32-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1's Monday night game. Rodgers got the Jets off to a fast start, engineering a 70-yard drive punctuated by a Breece Hall three-yard touchdown run in the first quarter but the New York offense struggled after that. It didn't help that the 49ers strung together several long drives that ate up much of the clock. San Francisco ultimately dominated the time of possession as they had the ball on offense for just under 39 minutes in the game. Rodgers' lone touchdown pass went to Allen Lazard in the third quarter. On the bright side, Rodgers looked healthy after tearing his Achilles back in Week 1 last season. He will be a high-end QB2 in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will return to the field for the first in almost a year when he takes on the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 1. Rodgers ruptured his Achilles on the Jets' first drive of the season in 2023 and missed the remainder of the year. He will look to make up for lost time in a tough Week 1 matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco allowed just the 24th-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks last year and could present problems for Rodgers, who will hope to shake off the rust quickly. Fantasy gamers can treat Rodgers as a mid-range QB2 for the season opener on Monday night.

The New York Jets won't play their starters in the preseason finale this weekend against the New York Giants, according to head coach Robert Saleh. It means that we won't see quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) at all until Week 1 of the regular season against the San Francisco 49ers as he attempts to return from a torn Achilles that kept him off the field for all of 2023. In addition, running back Breece Hall will be held out this weekend. Adrian Martinez and Andrew Peasley will work under center for the Jets against the G-Men. The 40-year-old Rodgers probably won't be in former MVP form in 2024 coming off a devastating injury, but he could bounce back and be a serviceable QB2 for fantasy managers if he stays healthy. He'll get a good Week 1 test against one of the best defenses in the league, and we wouldn't recommend using him in fantasy lineups in that one.

The New York Jets think quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) will be ready to go for the Week 1 regular-season opener on Sept. 9 against the San Francisco 49ers. "I think he's absolutely ready to go," head coach Robert Saleh said. Saleh said Rodgers was "where we needed him when he first walked in. His arm is still 30 and he's got plenty of mobility." It's pretty impressive for a 40-year-old signal-caller that missed all of his first season in New York due to an Achilles tear. However, the two-time MVP had returned to practice at the end of last year and hasn't had any setbacks this offseason. It will be interesting to see how Rodgers rebounds from a lost season at his age, but fantasy managers certainly shouldn't be expecting too much, especially in a tough Week 1 matchup against the 49ers' elite defense. Remember, Rodgers was coming off one of the worst seasons of his career in his final season in Green Bay in 2022.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers won't suit up during Saturday's second preseason contest against the Carolina Panthers. It appears the Jets plan to rest a majority of their starters on Saturday. The team is reportedly resting 32 players, which includes most of their key starters. Second string quarterback Tyrod Taylor will dress but will serve as the emergency quarterback. Andrew Peasley and Adrian Martinez are reportedly going to get a majority of the snaps during Saturday's game. At this point, it seems unlikely that Rodgers takes the field until the regular season opener.

Aug 8 2:10pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is not dressed to practice on Thursday for precautionary reasons, according to head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets are being cautious because of the heavy rain all morning in New York, and they don't want to take the risk with their franchise signal-caller. Rodgers is already unlikely to play during the preseason this year, so this shouldn't affect his status for Saturday's exhibition opener against the visiting Washington Commanders in East Rutherford. The 40-year-old future Hall of Famer was beginning to show signs of decline back in 2022 with the Green Bay Packers before 2023's ruptured Achilles, so he's being drafted as more of a QB2 in fantasy drafts this summer. The weekly potential for Rodgers to post QB1 scores will likely be dependent on game scripts in 2024.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) has reportedly looked impressive early in camp. The veteran quarterback has gone through nine practices in camp and did a 90-min scrimmage on Saturday. Head coach Robert Saleh said it looks like Rodgers hasn't missed any time. The 40-year-old is less than a year removed from a torn Achilles. Despite that, Rodgers says he was 95 percent healthy heading into training camp. The first chance for Rodgers to get back into game action would be Saturday in the preseason opener against the Washington Commanders. It remains to been see if Rodgers is ready for that next step.

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) is not expected to suit up for any preseason games, according to head coach Robert Saleh.

Fantasy Spin: The Jets have little to gain by playing Rodgers next month as they attempt to go all-in on the 2024 season. The 40-year-old Rodgers does little with his legs at this point of his career, but his presence should enable fantasy assets such as Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson to reach their ceilings. So long as Rodgers makes it through most of the season, both young players could push for No. 1 overall status at their position. Conversely, Rodgers should be viewed as a respectable QB2 option.

From TheHuddle

Jul 30 1:10pm ET

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said that quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles), who is recovering from his Achilles injury, is unlikely to play this preseason. Even if Rodgers hadn't suffered a torn Achilles last year, he would have been unlikely to see much action, if any at all, in the preseason. The 40-year-old future Hall of Famer tore his Achilles early in Week 1 of last year's regular season opener and missed all of the 2024 campaign, although he was practicing with the team late in the year and is on track to be 100% for the season opener this fall. Fantasy managers should be very skeptical that the four-time MVP can recapture his pre-injury form, even if the Jets have some high-end weapons around him on offense. Treat Rodgers as a low-end QB2 in fantasy with upside for more if he stays healthy for the entire 2024 season.

Jul 29 11:20pm ET

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers' debut season with the New York Jets ended after just four snaps due to a torn left Achilles. NFL.com's Judy Battista visited with the highly motivated 40-year-old quarterback at training camp, and his mission remains the same: "I'd like to still have two great years." Rodgers is looking forward to the upcoming joint practices the Jets have scheduled against the Washington Commanders, New York Giants, and Carolina Panthers for the measuring sticks they will provide as works his way back from such a serious injury, considering he's unlikely to play in any preseason games this summer. The four-time MVP's best fantasy days are likely behind him, but he has enough weapons in New York that he could still churn out some QB1-caliber weeks in the proper game environments. The vaunted Jets defense is likely to diminish shootout potential this year, so Rodgers is just a QB2 bet at his 134 ADP.

Jul 24 12:00am ET

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers expressed uncertainty on his player future beyond the 2024 season while on Pardon My Take on Tuesday. When asked how many more years he will play in the NFL, Rodgers said, "I don't know. This one, for sure. I'd like to do -- I wanted to do two good ones and give us a chance to retire a Jet. Win two Super Bowls." The 40-year-old's willingness to play beyond the 2024 season will likely come down to how this season goes and how well he plays while coming off a torn left Achilles in Week 1 of 2023. The odds of Rodgers having another MVP-like season at this point in his career are unlikely, but if anything can do it, it would be him. He'll have plenty of weapons around him on offense as he attempts a successful return from a serious injury, but fantasy managers need to temper their expectations and treat him as more of a low-end QB2.

Jul 23 9:40am ET

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) officially reported to training camp on Tuesday morning, according to a photo posted on the team's official X account. Rodgers had previously skipped minicamp and was subsequently fined, but he's back at the Jets' facilities as training camp gets underway across the NFL. Rodgers is looking to make a big impact in 2024 after suffering a torn Achilles during his first game with the Jets last year. Fantasy managers who believe Rodgers can get back on track might salivate at his current ADP of 133, which makes him the 20th quarterback off the board in redraft leagues. The Jets have struggled with quarterback play in recent years, but pairing Rodgers with a talented group of weapons such as Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall might just be the recipe for success.

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers says his Achilles' tendon 'feels good' ahead of training camp, he told reporters on Saturday, July 13. 'My Achilles feels good, you know. I felt really good at the end of last year,' Rodgers said. 'Then, you know, there's always that kind of plateau part. It's just about getting back into it. I felt good all spring.'

From TheHuddle

Jul 13 1:10pm ET

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) said he "feels good" when asked about his status with training camp approaching at the end of July. Rodgers tore his Achilles on the first offensive series in Week 1 last fall and missed the rest of his first year in New York. However, he miraculously returned to practices late last season and said his surgically repaired Achilles has felt good throughout the offseason and during organized team activities a month ago. A healthy Rodgers should give Gang Green a realistic shot at the postseason given all the weapons they have on offense, but fantasy managers should temper expectations for a 40-year-old signal-caller coming off a major injury. If he stays healthy, Rodgers could easily finish as a top-15 fantasy QB, but relying on him as your QB1 is a risky proposition.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams said Tuesday, July 9, during the 'Up and Adams' show that New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers continues to push for Adams to join his former quarterback in New York. 'He's in the ear, that's for sure, he's in the ear,' he told host Kay Adams. 'But it's not as easy,' Adams added. 'Obviously, we can get together and talk about the old times and the potential of doing this and that, but like I said, I'm a Raider, and he knows that.'

Fantasy Spin: While this tidbit makes for a fun moment of gossip during the doldrums of the NFL offseason, Adams remains a Raider, and there's no reason to believe that will change before Week 1.

From TheHuddle

Jul 11 2:30pm ET

The New York Jets offense should be more fine-tuned in its second year under offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in 2024 while also getting future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers back from the torn Achilles he suffered in Week 1 last fall. In addition to Rodgers' return, the Jets added Tyron Smith and John Simpson to the offensive line in free agency, traded for Morgan Moses and drafted Olu Fashanu in the first round. At receiver, the team added Mike Williams (knee) and drafted Malachi Corley. "Now you can really detail it up. You can talk about the intricacies of the route. You can experiment with new plays, new motions, all kinds of different, fun things. So it's been really good. I think the guys have really enjoyed it," Hackett said.

Dynasty | Jets running back Breece Hall is declaring himself fully healthy as the season approaches. Dynasty Analysis: We've seen some true glimpses of stardom with Hall, who famously tore his ACL late in his rookie season. As with most players, that injury takes a full year to recover from and another year to truly feel like it never happened. Hall still ran for nearly 1,000 yards last season and caught 76 passes on a team that was dreadful on offense. With Aaron Rodgers also back, Hall could be the RB1 this season and the chance to buy low on him is ending.
